Last week we learned that Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge were dunzo after JL decided to start up a new relationship with a much older businessman named James Watson. Yesterday, at a Sonic Drive-In in Kentwood, Louisiana, Jamie Lynn was spotted with an older man alright … but it was not her reported new beau James. It turns out that JL was grabbing a bite to eat with her pappy Jamie Spears:
As I mentioned before, I’m happy to know that Jamie Lynn has come to her senses and moved on from her all-too-young baby daddy Casey Aldridge for an older, more mature man. I commend Casey-Lynn for giving it a try but clearly it didn’t work out and JL apparently decided that she and her baby needed more security than Casey could provide. It’s nice that Papa Spears flew out to spend some time with Jamie Lynn … he really seems to be there to take care of his daughters when they need him most. He basically saved Britney Spears‘s life (and most certainly saved her career). Now he’s there to help take care of his youngest child. Papa Spears to the rescue again!!

i have always liked jamie he seems like a good parent….lynne not so much typical stage parent who obviously pushed her daughters into the spotlight which was the root of the family issues
I am happy she dumped CA too but dating a 29 year old when you are 18 is a little extreme. There has to be something wrong the 29 year old. I am just saying…
Normally I agree with you Trent, but there is something wrong with a 29 year old who wants to have a relationship with an 18 year old. The 29 year old wants all the wrong things (sex, her money, fame, or control, etc). You keep saying her BF was too immature, and probably so, but they are the same age and they are both immature.
I don’t know that I think it’s ever a “happy” occasion when parents breakup. As far as CA being a “all-to-young baby daddy’, well she is a all-to-young baby momma. At least they were in the same age group. And just because the new guy is older does not in anyway mean he is going to be a better person than the baby’s own father.
The chances of this new relationship lasting are slim to none. Why not take sometime to yourself after breaking up with the father of your child? Spend some time with your baby and reevaluate your life’s situation? I do applaud Jamie for being there for his daughter’s in their darkest hours. I agree 100% with Jennie on her views about Lynne. You only see her around during the girls good times and not really the lows.
@ LV – I agree.I find it a bit harsh of you Trent to assume that her breaking up with Casey is a good thing. Both parents were incredibly young. There is no real evidence that he was a bad parent. Also, she is 18 and the idea of her being with a 29 year old man is odd. She is young and has a child and he is okay with this. I mean good for him but it is still odd.
I have a feeling they will end up back together.

Yeah, I have to agree with the majority here too, what does a 29 year old want with an 18 year old single parent? Sounds suspicious to me, I know I wouldn’t want a 29 year old man anywhere near my daughter when she is 18. And yeah, Casey may be immature, but he stuck around to raise his daughter which is more than you can say for most teenage fathers, and at least he didn’t rebound with someone almost twice his age…seems to me that JL is the one with the problem this time…

she shouldn’t be jumping on a new man so soon, if this is true. and if casey had gone and dumped jamie lynn for an older woman, no one would be applauding him or thinking he was doing the right thing.
She needs to pack up her child and hop on the nex jet plane to LA and get herself a job. She was good on the Nickelodeon show and She has done a pretty good job thus far at parenting, had she not gotten knocked up, she’d be competing with miley and selena for film roles now and dating Taylor Lautner. If she doesn’t get outta the stixx soon, she’ll be knocked up again and married to a fat country bumkin and she will never have a chance in the business again.
