First Look: Britney Spears For Candie’s, S/S ‘10
Last month we learned that Brintey Spears has re-signed with Candie’s to appear in their ad campaign for a second year in a row and it was announced that legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz would be among the photographers photographing the campaign. Today we get our first look at the first promo ad poster that has been released from the Candie’s Britney Spears: Through the Lens campaign featuring our dear Britney Spears:
HMMMM. To be honest, this is a nice photo and all but it doesn’t strike me as having the same caliber that we have come to expect from Leibovitz photographs. If we weren’t told that Annie Leibovitz was the photographer, I wouldn’t have guessed or even wanted to believe that it was true. This photo is cute but nowhere near as extraordinary as one might expect from Annie Leibovitz. I’m curious to see what the rest of the campaign looks like. If we can expect more of this to come, then I’d rather Candie’s go back to using the photographer who came up with the pink hay motif from last year’s ad campaign instead. What do y’all think of this photo? Impressed?

so maybe im just unaware and candies has branched out to include clothing but i thought it was a shoe company, so where are the shoes in this pic? i agree with trent, the pic is just so so

i like this one better than the first one. at least she looks happy and cute in this one. the first one she looked pissed off and sad.

Yep, Candies sells clothes. I know at least Kohls has them , not sure where else…

That is a terrible picture! Her body looks so distorted, her neck and upper chest look more like Rachel Zoe than Britney!
Sidebar – I wish she would go back to her natural light brown hair at some point, kinda sick of her having bleach colored hair or cheap bottle brown/black…she looks so much nicer with natural color

love me some britney, but this pic — meh — i agree that she looks kind of funny. first thing i thought is that they should have photoshopped her right armpit/boob area — got some overhang there & that’s not attractive! she looks a bit like she is poo’ing! LOL!

I think this is a super cute pic of Britney..I don’t see ANNIE LEIBOVITZ in them at all..Hopefully next time ANNIE LEIBOVITZ will work more of her magic..(Do I sound smart now, too?) ;)

I hated the first picture so wasn’t expecting much and i was proved right. i think its her hair that does it. Its horrible and fluffy and just.. gross.

I bought an indian costume for halloween last year and the dress it came with looks almost exactly like the one brit is wearing in this pic

Compared to the heavily photoshopped previous campaign, this one looks classy. Perhaps we need to see more photos to get the Leibovitz feel.
And it only looks distorted because the photo of the ad was taken from a higher angle.

Annie Leibovitz is kinda overrated imo. But at least a) Britney looks good (though sitting kinda weird) b) there’s no pink hay and c) the clothes look good. So I guess it’s an overall win!

Candies has not released this image yet. It was snapped at one Kohl’s store by a fan and sent in to a fan site (WOB). I’m sure Candies is none to happy since they plan to release the campaign in 2 weeks from now, according to their tweets.
I personally think she looks better here than the hotmess picture they used as the press release image. This one is much better.
