Candie’s Releases Behind The Scene Promos Of ‘Britney Spears: Through The Lens’

Yesterday we got to check out some new promo photos from the new Candie’s ad campaign, titled Britney Spears: Through the Lens, and today we get to check out a bunch of behind the scenes photos AND video from the various photoshoot sets. Among the behind the scene photos are the promos that were photographed by Annie Leibovitz, Terry Richardson and Mark Seliger. Here the first batch of campaign photos culled together and some info from the latest press release:

Iconix Brand Group, Inc. unveiled today its spring 2010 marketing campaign for its junior brand, Candie’s®, which is exclusively available at Kohl’s Department Stores and Kohls.com. The campaign entitled, “Britney Spears Through The Lens,” showcases international superstar, Britney Spears, as seen through the lens of three famed photographers, Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger and Terry Richardson. Each iconic photographer shot Spears at Paramount Studios in Hollywood late last year. Britney Spears, commented, “Annie, Mark and Terry are three of the biggest photographers in the world, I am honored to be working with them for my Candie’s Only at Kohl’s ads. It was an amazing shoot and I know my fans are going to love the cool images.” The campaign, a series of photographs of Spears as seen through the lens of each master photographer will debut with a four page insert in the April issue of Seventeen Magazine as well as online at candies.com and Kohls.com. Each photographer has their own unique and trademark style. Annie Leibovitz’s photograph features Spears against an industrial backdrop, Terry Richardson photographed Spears on a plain white set with colorful props, while Mark Seliger created elaborate sets. Seliger’s first set was a French burlesque inspired pink dressing room and the second was a custom designed pink Harley-Davidson motorcycle against a perfect blue sky and green grass background. “This is the most exciting shoot we have ever produced for Candie’s. We have three master photographers; Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger and Terry Richardson shooting the biggest pop star in the world, each in their own iconic style,” stated Dari Marder, chief marketing officer, Iconix Brand Group. Julie Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, stated, “The new Candie’s spring advertising campaign is innovative, authentic and provides a unique brand expression in the marketplace. We are confident this will resonate with our junior shoppers who trust Candie’s to provide style and value.” The “Britney Spears Through The Lens,” campaign will be seen in fashion magazines, outdoor billboards, in-store, circulars, online and direct mail. The Candie’s Only at Kohl’s marketing campaign was created by the Iconix in-house marketing team in partnership with Annie Leibovitz who is famous for her celebrity portraits, Mark Seliger who is recognized for infusing music and fashion in his photography and Terry Richardson who is known for his ability to capture the true essence of his subjects.

When taken as a whole, this campaign looks very strong, very solid. These photographers do amazing work all on their own … in combination, they’ve come up with a campaign that should really do well for Candie’s. Our dear Britney looks FANTASTIC!! While there may a photo here and there that I don’t like all by itself, I contend that the campaign is prolly the strongest Candie’s has put together when you take all the photos in concert. Thus far, the Richardson shoot looks to be my fave but I love the Seliger photos as well. What do y’all think … isn’t this a fantastic campaign? I can’t wait to see more!!

    It’s a great campaign and she was adorable in those videos! I don’t get why the released that first picture that wasn’t the best, but the new ones more than make up for everything .

    i think she changed a lot since her last year Candies photoshoot…
    plus she looks amazing in all the pix and the best part is..there’s no excissive photoshop <333

    The pictures look amazing, actually – but am I the only one to find it strange that a 28-year-old mother of two is the face of a clothing brand that’s catering to teens?

    She looks so amazing! When you look at the pics you think that they HAVE to be photoshopped but then you look at the behind the scenes footage and you see that she really does look like that in real life.

    @Winona – I really don’t think it’s weird. You have to realise that Britney’s fanbase still consists mostly of teens and twenty year somethings….also…Fergie modeled for Candie’s when she was 32, Jenny McCarthy at 30 and Pat Benatar at 53.!

    This set is WAY better than last year’s. The pictures were so heavily photoshopped that she didn’t even look real. But these pictures are playful, beautiful, and definitely a real Britney. That’s what I like to see, and that’s what teens deserve to see.

    Britney definitely seems to have her spark back, Personality is back and she seems much happier and relaxed. I hope that this is how she really feels and not just a case of good acting. It’s nice seeing her like this. The photos are lovely, the pics of her with the pink teddy bear and on the pink harley are stunning! Come on Britney bring it to the stage! Love ya girl!

    I’m really loving these pics and I think seeing the videos has given me a new appreciation for them..She looks almost the same as she did when she was 17! It’s insane! That girl knows how to turn it on for the camera..I love her! Wheee!

    britney is so cute! you can’t deny this girl is definitely the sweetest superstar ever to walk this planet. she’s so REAL and you can see it when she’s in the photoshoot with annie leibovitz….”can we just play?” ADORABLE! i don’t think it’s an act…that’s just britney being britney…she’s always been like that. also, i hate how everyone says oh everything is so photoshopped, blah blah blah. first of all, you can see from the video that it isn’t THAT photoshopped. second, who cares….EVERYONE, even the most gorgeous women in hollywood have their flaws and are photoshopped, ugh. anyway, britney looks and sounds fantastic! gotta love her! =)
