Last week we learned that the entire Brangelina brood made their way to Venice, Italy to take up temporary residence while mama Angelina Jolie begins work on her new film The Tourist. Just one day after, we saw cute photos of Brangelina taking their eldest daughters Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel out for a boat ride on the canals of Venice … you may recall that some people mistakenly believed that it was not Shiloh on the outing but the youngest Jolie-Pitt son Knox Léon. Today we get to see new photos of Angelina and Brad hard at work in the city of Paris, France … Ange was bizzy filming scenes for her new film and Brad was bizzy caring for the kiddies:

As Johnny Depp told [mentioned] this weekend, director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck began shooting Columbia Pictures thriller The Tourist in Paris, France on Tuesday. [Here is a] first look at photos of Angelina Jolie on the set. The film is a remake of the 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer. It concerns an American tourist (Depp) who finds his life in danger when a female Interpol agent (Jolie) uses him as a dupe to flush out an elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair.

Whitney Houston continues to tour the planet with her Nothing But Love World Tour and has recently made her way to Australia (after performing shows in South Korea and Japan) and has hit a huge snag along the way. Whitney performed her first show in Oz this week (Brisbane, to be exact) and completely failed to impress her audience there. According to Aussie news reports, Whitney Houston‘s live performance on this tour has not been living up to expectations:

Whitney Houston’s Australian comeback is under fire after fans criticised the opening night of her Australian tour claiming the singer sounded ‘croaky and appeared ‘disorientated’. The American star struggled through the opening night of her first Australian tour since 1988, and was left breathless and exhausted after just two songs at her show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, it was claimed. And even more bizarrely, the 46-year-old took a 20 minute break to catch her breath mid-way through the show. After half a dozen songs she left the stage for twenty minutes to take a break, bringing on her brother, Gary Houston, to sing in her absence. The band and backing singers then performed an energetic version of one of her biggest hits, Queen of the Night, from The Bodyguard soundtrack. One fan interviewed on Australian TV after the show said: ‘It was a disgrace. She can’t sing. She didn’t sing one song properly. She was disorientated and she needed a 20-minute break. It was the first concert I have walked out of in my life.’ Another fan said: ‘She couldn’t entertain a dead rat, to be honest.’ Other fans took to Facebook and Twitter to complain about the ‘croaky’ quality of her voice. ‘ ‘We just got back from Whitney Houston concert in Brizzy and I feel so sorry for her. She sounded croaky,’ fan Rick Crystal said on Facebook. ‘#whitneyhouston should have toured 15 years ago. Voice not what it used to be,’ adavidholloway said on Twitter after the concert. Some fans said they would be demanding their money back. ‘The multi-award winning singer appeared disoriented and failed to properly name some of her backing band as she introduced them to the audience, ‘ wrote the Australian Associated Press’s music reviewer. ‘But the final act faltered at the finale when she croaked her way through I Will Always Love You, pausing to get a drink and towel herself down just as she was about to hit the song’s epic high note, which she turned into a soft coo,’ he added … the singer’s spokesman Andrew McManus said Whitney was ‘surprised’ by the negativity and rejected tabloid rumours that she was seriously ill after the performance. U.S. tabloid the National Enquirer claimed the 46 year old had collapsed due to a drug and alcohol binge, and that her health has declined in recent months, with family members begging the star to postpone her planned concerts. ‘It was not a train wreck,’ McManus said. ‘She was hitting most of the notes, yes her throat was a little croaky. ‘Her health is fine but she’s also not 22 years of age anymore.’ The Australian concerts are part of her comeback “Nothing But Love” tour which kicked off at the end of last year. ‘She was not fit to perform,’ wrote one on the Courier Mail newspaper’s website. ‘She seemed to be on another planet and the concert was laughable.’

Yikes! Those Aussies and their concert reviews … they’re quite vicious, no? You may recall that the folks in Oz unleashed this kind of ire towards Britney Spears last year when she performed her Circus tour there … but, in their defense, they may be right about Whitney‘s lackluster performance this time around. Okay … hold on to your hat’s, y’all and take the following information with a HUGE grain of salt. The Sun newspaper, the British tabloid who yesterday shared with us an interview they conducted with Lindsay Lohan wherein she openly confessed her past substance abuse, is now reporting that Twilight star Robert Pattinson has confessed to them that he is “together” with Kristen Stewart in a romantic fashion. The couple attended the 2010 BAFTA Awards in London, England earlier this week and while the couple arrived separately, they did leave the awards show together … could The Sun be right? Are K. Stew and R. Pattz really an item?

After months of speculation, Robert Pattinson has finally confirmed he is dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. The actors, who have been dating since last year, were due to make their first public appearance as a couple at Sunday’s Bafta Film Awards, but ended up arriving separately. Pattinson, 23, was proudly cheering from the audience when his American girlfriend, 19, was named as the winner of the Bafta Rising Star accolade at the star-studded ceremony at the Royal Opera House. After refusing to comment on their relationship for months, Pattinson finally broke his silence and admitted they were an item. He told The Sun: ‘It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.’ After the Baftas, the couple headed to the Grosvenor House Hotel for the after-party, where they were spotted leaving at a relatively-respectable midnight. While Stewart attended the Elle Style Awards alone last night, Pattinson was busy working all day on his new film Bel Ami. Romance rumours have surrounded the couple since the first Twilight movie came out in late 2008.

HMMMM … yeah, I’m not sure I believe this report at all. It is quite easy to believe that Lindsay Lohan would sell her story to The Sun but I cannot believe A.) that Robert Pattinson would be so open about any romantic involvement like this with anyone and B.) that R. Pattz would give such information to The Sun of all publications. It occurs to me that Pattinson could’ve been talking about the fact that he and Kristen attended the BAFTAs together as friends and his comments have been taken out of context, that sounds more likely. So … I suppose it’s up to the individual to decide if they believe this “confession” from R. Pattz to be genuine, misconstrued or a complete fabrication. What do YOU think is going on here?

First we learned the happy news that Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie got engaged, then we saw just how appreciative Hilary was to Mike for the lovely ring he gave her. Today we learn how much Comrie dropped on that ring for his new fiancée … and he dropped quite a lot of dough. Hilary and Mike have already made their way back to SoCal from their Hawaiian holiday (where the couple got engaged) and made a very public stop at Katsuya in Hollywood, CA for a coming out party of sorts. Hilary made sure to proudly show off the $1,000,000.00 ROCK that Mike gave her:

Hilary Duff’s NHL-playing fiancé, Mike Comrie, knows how to give good ice. A source close to the Edmonton Oilers center, 29, tells us that the engagement ring he gave the former Disney star, 22, cost—gulp—$1 million. The source tells us that Comrie bought the14-karat princess-cut sparkler in Las Vegas. After two years of dating, Comrie popped the question while he and Duff were on a recent vacation in Hawaii. A wedding isn’t the only thing these two have in the works. Our source also tells us the pair are close to buying a $10 million home in Beverly Hills. (While he probably takes home a nice paycheck from the Oilers, Comrie also happens to be an heir to Canadian home furnishings retail empire, The Brick.) A rep for Duff declined to comment. Comrie has proven himself to be a generous beau. Just a few months after they became a couple in 2007, he reportedly bought his ladylove a $100,000 Mercedes.

Yowza!! Yeah, we knew that Mike was very generous with Hilary and this phat ring is further proof of that generosity. I’ve always liked these two as a couple and I am thrilled for them. Tho, I’m actually very surprised how flashy Hilary was with her ring last night … considering she did everything she could to hide it when Hila-rie were departing Hawaii after their vacay. In any event … congrats to the happy couple!! Now the countdown begins to the day they say I Do.
