Mike The Situation Sorrentino, one of the stars of MTV‘s hit show Jersey Shore, has updated his official Facebook profile with a couple of new photos from a recent photoshoot he did for Interview magazine. I can’t believe I’m actually saying this but … The Situation got to pose in this new photoshoot for Interview with supermodel Bar Rafaeli — yeah, Leonardo DiCaprio‘s lady. Will you please join me in a hearty WTF?!

Nicole Richie Is A Fly Girl

Did you know that Nicole Richie can fly airplanes? Neither did I … which is why I was very pleasantly surprised to learn from her official blog that in addition to being a mother, fashion designer and fiancéeshe is also an airplane co-pilot:

This past Thursday I flew to Montreal to promote my two lines Winter Kate, and House of Harlow 1960. And by flew, I mean I actually flew. My partners, Rick and Brian, let me be the co-pilot once again on their jet! It was so much fun! Now if only everyone else on the flight felt the same way.

This is so cool! Now, I’m not sure if Nicole is an actual licensed pilot or not but I would assume that she is based on the release of these photos. I love me some Nicole but I’m not sure I’d be entirely comfortable letting her pilot a plane I was on … but she must be a good pilot, right? I wonder what other secrets Ms. Richie has up her sleeve that we don’t know about?

Kellan Lutz Springs Into Action

Here are a couple of cute, very cheesy, photos of Calvin Klein Underwear model and Twilight star Kellan Lutz actin’ a fool for the paparazzi outside NineZeroOne Salon in West Hollywood, CA last night:

Yeah, I’m not entirely sure what he’s doing in these photos … but he looks good doing it. I bet Kellan is a lot fun to hang out with. Le sigh.

"She's the only woman I've been attracted to ... We might reconcile the relationship"
Lindsay Lohan Opens Up About Her Relationship With Samantha Ronson

Yesterday we read a bit from Lindsay Lohan‘s tell-all interview with British tabloid newspaper The Sun and today we learn that there is a second and final part of the interview. While the topic of discussion yesterday was Lindsay‘s previous substance abuse, the topic this time around is of a romantic nature. L. Lo talks a bit about her enduring love for ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson and explains what the future may have in store for her romantic life:

LINDSAY LOHAN today tells all about her lesbian relationship with SAMANTHA RONSON – and says she wants her lover back. The Hollywood tearaway had a fiery 18-month fling with DJ Sam. It ended last April after the pair were frequently pictured fighting and crying in public. Yesterday Lindsay exclusively revealed to The Sun the extent of her devastating drug and drink problems, which she admitted could have killed her. In Day 2 of our exclusive interview, she reveals she is still in love with gay Samantha, 32 – sister of super producer Mark, the man behind AMY WINEHOUSE hit Rehab. Bisexual Lindsay, who has had three stints in rehab, says she will never love another woman and plans to go back to BOYS if she can’t win Sam back. Mean Girls star Lindsay says: “I never really thought about women before, it kind of just happened with Samantha. It surprised me. We’re still in touch. We live in the same apartment building in LA and see each other often. She has always been one of my best friends. If I wasn’t with Samantha, I would probably be with a boy next. She’s the only woman I’ve been attracted to. We love each other. We might reconcile the relationship, maybe. I don’t know.” Former child actress Lindsay – nicknamed Li-Lo – admits her relationship with Sam was “passionate”. She also reveals they split because Sam’s family and friends did not approve of her and the way her life is constantly played out in front of the paparazzi. She says: “There have been a lot of ups and downs. Her family is very involved in her relationships and that was difficult. I think Samantha was growing as a celebrity and a musician and I think that might have scared her family. But I’ve always been her biggest supporter and, yeah, I love her.”

OOOH, now the real juicy deets — from Lindsay‘s point of view — are coming to light. Want more? The second part of Lindsay‘s interview with The Sun continues after the jump …

We may never get to hear her new album 'Love?'
Jennifer Lopez Dumped By Her Record Label

Oh snap!! New reports out today reveal that Jennifer Lopez, La Diva Latina herself, has been dumped by her record label Sony Music Epic Records. I understand that her contract with the label was fulfilled by the last two singles she released (the horrid Louboutins was one of them) and the label decided they do not want to re-sign her and have no interest in releasing her new album Love? Yikes! At this point, J. Lo‘s recording career is dunzo, y’all!

Jennifer Lopez has spent most of her singing career at Sony Music Epic Records. The bland version of what happened, I’m told, is that the contract period had ended and that Lopez had fulfilled it with her last two singles, and that Lopez and Stringer decided together not to move forward with an album. Others insist the Sony label dropped her. There also is disagreement on how finished her upcoming album was before it was canceled. Internet reports say her 7th studio album, titled “Love?”, was supposed to come out in April and featured production from Danja, Jim Jonsin, Darkchild, Chris n Teeb from Dropzone, and The Neptunes among others. A song from it titled “Fresh Out The Oven” surfaced online in October 2009 as a buzz single and reached #1 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. But the official lead single, “Louboutins”, had its radio debut on November 23 following the song’s premiere and performance at the 2009 American Music Awards and then peaked at #31 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. Lopez insiders claim to me the album was “by no means done” and everyone was “only a few songs into it” and “unlike movie dates, street dates rarely hold in the music biz”. But that album was real enough to delay the release of her upcoming CBS Film, The Back-Up Plan. Others tell me the album isn’t being released because “Louboutins” bombed, as did her performance at the American Music Awards, and Sony Music execs “aren’t sure who her audience is anymore. Where once she had little girls, she’s been supplanted by Beyonce, Gaga, and Rhianna. Lots of fighting going on between Benny Medina (who, of course, is spending their money like it’s 10 years ago) and the label.” But when I began inquiring about this, her manager Benny Medina emailed this morning to confirm the split. “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together” … eanwhile, I understand that Sony will still be releasing her “Greatest Hits” album in the fall. Supposedly, Lopez has not wasted any time getting signed elsewhere: it’s rumored she is already in talks with Island Def Jam’s bigwig L.A. Reid to come to his label. Granted, this is a tough time for music artists, especially those like Lopez who were once big in the biz and now are battling not only the changed economics and rampant piracy but also the moving target of today’s music fans. JLo insiders insist none of this is fazing Lopez, who took time off to have two kids with her recording star husband, Marc Anthony, and who is just now returning to her acting career with the release of the feature The Back Up Plan.

Yeah, I don’t care how “amicable” they are trying to spin this story … Sony Epic would not be letting J. Lo go if they thought she could make them more money. The music biz is in shambles and an artist like J. Lo, who commands a lot of money, can be seen as dead weight if she is not able to bring the hits. I have no doubt that Lopez will get a new record contract, she may even get one that is pretty lucrative, but the fact that she is no longer a hitmaker means that her days in the music biz are very limited. If Love? is made up of garbage like Louboutins then it’s prolly for the best that we never hear it. I’m not sure how much longer Jennifer Lopez can stretch out her music career but this is not a good sign for her longevity. Mebbe it’s time she pack it in now and save some face.

Joan Jett Talks To ‘Interview’ Magazine

Rocker Joan Jett is featured in the new issue of Interview magazine wherein she talks to interviewer Evelyn McDonnell about her life in The Runaways and the upcoming biopic of the same name. While new photos of Joan are not featured in the mag, new photos (shot by director Floria Sigismondi) of Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett (along with Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie) are featured with her interview. Here is one of those photos and some excerpts from Joan‘s interview with Interview:

In the four years that they were together, the quintet of teenage girls that made up The Runaways cut a swath of hard rock, harder kisses, and, eventually, scary-hard drugs through the legendary glam scene of 1970s Los Angeles. Their exploits-and exploitation-are the stuff of legend and now of The Runaways, the debut feature film from photographer and video director Floria Sigismondi. Based on trouble-doll lead singer Cherie Currie’s 1989 autobiography, Neon Angel, Sigismondi hones in on the relationship between Currie and the band’s co-founder, songwriter, and guitarist Joan Jett (Currie’s book, written with Tony O’Neill, is being published in an updated version this month by HarperCollins). Dakota Fanning plays the beautiful, damaged Currie; Michael Shannon steals the show as the evil genius svengali Kim Fowley; and Kristen Stewart plays Jett, all black-leather attitude and sex appeal-Elvis plus estrogen. In part because of rights issues, The Runaways pays short shrift to the band’s other members-guitarist Lita Ford, bassist Jackie Fox, and drummer Sandy West. But driven by great songs, the film-and the feeling of liberation, love, and pain teenagers find in music and each other-is dead on. “I was looking for raw,” says Sigismondi, who has directed videos for the likes of Marilyn Manson, The White Stripes, David Bowie, Björk, The Cure, and Interpol. “This very short period of time held a big place in all of their lives. It was a very delicate thing, but it wasn’t all heartfelt. There was anger. There was resentment. There was sorrow. They were breaking new ground. They were taking risks. They were doing things that brought them up against walls.” I recently spoke to Jett-creator of some of the greatest-of-all-time anthems like “Bad Reputation” and “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” and who, with her manager, Kenny Laguna, executive-produced The Runaways-about what it was like to see her youthful triumphs and excesses (including some steamy scenes with Currie) on screen. “Joan Jett-she’s just one of a kind, and has never veered from her path,” Sigismondi says. “She’s gone out there and said, ‘This is who I am.’ And she’s still doing that.”

Joan‘s interview begins after the jump — where you can also check out other photos of Kristen and Dakota as photographed by Floria

1, 2, Freddy's comin' for you ... in April
‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ Releases An Official Movie Poster

Last July we got to see the first teaser poster for the new remake version of the classic 80′s horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street and in September of last year we got to see the first movie trailer for the film. Today, just about 2 months from the film’s release in theaters, we get our first look at the first official movie poster for Nightmare:

While Warner Bros. Pictures A Nightmare on Elm Street doesn’t arrive in theaters until April 30, the studio wants you to dream of the day by torturing us with all sorts of goodies from the forthcoming redo … this evening you’ll be dreaming of good ol’ Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley) thanks to this brand spanking new one sheet! Watch MySpace Thursday for the final trailer.

“A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley), a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another…but when they sleep, there is no escape.”

Nice poster but I’m still reserving judgment. I’m very curious to see what the upcoming new movie trailer looks like … while I liked the one we saw last September, I really don’t think it holds up to the original film. I’m cautiously optimistic that the film will be fun but I highly doubt it will surpass the classic original. What do y’all think of this poster … are you skerred?

‘Kill Bill Vol. 3’-D?

Ever since news broke last October that Quentin Tarantino is planning the make the third installment of the Kill Bill series of movies, there has been MUCH interest in any new information about the planned production. In December, Tarantino revealed that the next film will not be titled Kill Bill … and today we learn that the new film, whatever it will be called, may be made in 3D:

Quentin Tarantino is set to make his movies even more graphic – he wants to make the next “Kill Bill” sequel in 3-D. James Cameron’s Oscar-nominated 3-D epic “Avatar” has inspired a number of other filmmakers to adopt the popular technique. George Lucas is planning to revive his “Star Wars” films in 3-D, while studio bosses at Warner Bros. have confirmed the technology will be implemented for the final installments of the “Harry Potter” franchise. Tarantino has been a fan of 3-D movies for several years and wishes he had acquired the technology prior to the release of “Kill Bill” in 2003, because he would have happily included the popular effects. Tarantino is set to make a third film in the franchise and he’s hinted he may use the technology for “Kill Bill 3″, which is due for release in 2014. He tells WENN, “I was thinking of 3-D after I saw ‘House of Wax’, I’ve always liked 3-D. I was thinking 3-D after I saw “Friday the 13th”. I’ve always liked 3-D. So if I had the right stories, for instance if I could do ‘Kill Bill’ allover again I’d be tempted to do it in 3-D.”

Wee!! Altho I feel this 3D fad may be getting out of hand just a touch, I’m really all for it. I remember back in the 80′s when “all” the movies had to be in 3D (Amityville 3D, Jaws 3D, etc.) and I loved them all … even if the movie sucked, seeing it in 3D was a treat. During this period in the 80′s, many movies broadcast on TV were in 3D as well. I am very much looking forward to seeing Alice In Wonderland in 3D next month and I would LOVE to see the next Killed Bill film in 3D when it gets released in theaters. I am ALL for this idea … are you?
