Just yesterday I was lauding the new “dressed down and semi-normal” Victoria Beckham because I’ve been digging the more casual look she’s been rockin’ lately both in public (like at the beach in Malibu, CA last weekend) and in the media (like in the pages of the new issue of Glamour magazine). But today we learn that VB is gettin’ back to her überPosh ways to offset the dress-down look she’s been rockin’ as of late. VB flew out of LAX Airport last night and already made her way back to the UK … while carrying a $30,000.000 Hermès Birkin crocodile bag:

Damn. That’s an expensive purse, y’all. You may recall that VB showed off her shiny white crocodile Birkin around the holidays (which came with a £80,000 price tag) but it would seem that she was in dire need of a less expensive bag, in a different color. I guess no matter how “down-to-Earth” Vicki B. appears from time-to-time, she will always be Posh at heart. I ain’t gonna lie, the bag is hot … but it’s kinda gross how the price tag of this one purse is roughly equal to a year’s pay for some people … and is more money than other people will ever accumulate in their lifetimes. OY!

70′s teen heartthrob Leif Garrett, who has suffered with substance abuse in his adult life (which was famously chronicled in an episode of VH1‘s Behind the Music back in 1999), was arrested again last night on charges of drug possession. TMZ reports that Garrett was arrested early Monday morning at a Metrolink commuter train station in downtown LA after he was found with a controlled substance on his person:

Leif Garrett was arrested Monday morning in Los Angeles for possession of a controlled substance. The former teen idol was busted at 11:20 AM at the Metrolink station in downtown Los Angeles by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. Garrett was taken into custody and placed behind bars. He wasn’t released until this morning. Garrett’s been busted on the Metro Red Line before — back in 2006, he was caught for allegedly riding without a ticket … but heroin and Quaaludes were found in his possession. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail for the incident. Garrett is due back in court on February 24.

Naturally, the photo above is from his younger, more successful days. Leif doesn’t look like this anymore. Ugh. I remember being so taken with Garrett‘s episode of Behind the Music (back in the early days of the series when it was still really good) and then being so disappointed when Garrett got busted for drugs back in 2006. Clearly, it would seem that Leif Garrett has yet to completely overcome his demons. Perhaps Garrett will be able to parlay this latest arrest into another stint on a VH1 show … Celebrity Rehab, perhaps?

Last night the final season premiere of Lost aired on ABC to much fanfare and in celebration, Lost producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about the season 6 premiere ep and to spill some deets about the ep and the final season ahead. Cuse and Lindelof announced on the show that the series finale of Lost will air on Sunday May 23, 2010 … the other stuff they teased about could be considered very spoilery for those of you who have yet to watch last night’s ep (we’ll keep those comments behind the cut):

[Last night] “Jimmy Kimmel Live” welcomed the “Lost” executive producers and creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse in support of the last season of their hit series. At the end of the guest interview, the masterminds exclusively revealed to host Jimmy Kimmel that the “Lost” series finale will air Sunday, May 23, 2010 on ABC. “We are eternally grateful to him (Steve McPherson, President of ABC Entertainment Group) for allowing us to end the show on our own terms,” said Lindelof. “Then, on May 30 the “Hurley and the Smoke Monster” spin-off starts?” joked Kimmel.

This end date announcement came at the end of the interview but the producers talked at length about semi-spoilery, important things to look for in last night’s season 6 premiere episode. Back in December we learned that Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz had signed a deal to be the new spokesmodel for Calvin Klein Underwear and today we get our first look at Kellan‘s FIRST hawt campaign photo. Lutz is joined by a few other men for CK‘s new ad campaign, here’s a tease:

And boy, are we glad he did… The American actor, best known for playing Emmett Cullen in the Twilight Saga films, joins three other male models in the ads promoting Calvin Klein’s latest male underwear collection, X. And he’s looking a whole world away from his vampish on-screen persona. Also featuring in the campaign is actor Mechad Brooks, who starred in hit series True Blood, alongside Spanish tennis star Fernando Verdasco, and Japanese footballer Hidetoshi Nakata. But not only do we have these hot shots to feast our eyes on, the new X campaign promises to be Calvin Klein’s most digital to date. That means we’ll also be treated to behind-the-scenes videos and interviews with the four leading lads, as well as innovative 3D-effect versions of the adverts. ‘We’re thinking bold, graphic and provocative, as always,’ says Bob Mazzoli, chief creative officer for Calvin Klein Underwear. Kellan Lutz in 3D? Now that’s something we’d quite like to experience… The full digital campaign is set for release on 1 March!
