Supermodel and TV host Heidi Klum, who kinda made being pregnant her favorite extracurricular activity, is launching two new maternity clothing lines this year. Love by Heidi Klum was created for Motherhood Maternity while Lavish by Heidi Klum was created for A Pea in the Pod. Both collections have a “due date” of February 12th. Hmmm … two different lines for two different companies sounds like a pretty sweet deal for Mama Klum:

Just three months after welcoming her fourth child, daughter Lou Sulola, the Project Runway host announces plans to launch two maternity lines next month. Lavish by Heidi Klum and Loved by Heidi Klum will debut online and in stores Feb. 12 for A Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity, respectively. (Heidi follows in the footsteps of Nicole Richie, who debuted her own line for A Pea in the Pod in August.) In keeping with Heidi’s own sexy maternity style, Lavish includes 15 pieces of “iconic style and seamless fit.” One highlight? A slinky black maxidress, $128, worthy of a red carpet arrival! Loved will offer 14 affordable items made for comfort. Pieces include a loose-fitting floral print top, $40, and blue button-down tunic, $30. Heidi brings a heck of a lot of sartorial expertise (including a combined three years of pregnancies!) to her lines. “I experienced fashion challenges during my four pregnancies and combined my knowledge of what works in terms of style, comfort and practicality to create these lines,” Heidi said today in a statement. “Being pregnant shouldn’t stop you from being fashionable and feeling great about your changing body. It’s an exciting journey.”
Seriously, if anyone needs their own maternity line it’s Heidi Klum. The woman is pregnant ALL the time! Even tho she just gave birth to a baby girl a few months ago, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if she got herself pregs again sometime this year … prolly just to be able to wear her own maternity clothing collection. After the jump, check out two promo photos that show the different styles of her different clothing lines …

Yeah, I’m thinkin’ Loved by Heidi Klum will be more flowy while Lavish by Heidi Klum will be more stretchy … depending on the mood of the pregs consumer, she will have the option to wear either or both. Heidi is one hell of a smart business woman, she’ll be reaping the benefits of both lines! I’m not sure if any of y’all are pregs or planning to be pregs but does this look like something YOU’D like to wear?

They are the same company, just different levels. Motherhood is like Old Navy and Pea in a Pod is like Banana Republic. One is cheap, the other over priced.
The flowered shirt is *gag* but the black dress is pretty. I’d wear it.
@Cindy, couldn’t have said it better.. it’s all about price point and name brand :-P
Very cool that Heidi is issuing a line for Motherhood (i.e., stylish and AFFORDABLE maternity clothes, unlike A Pea in the Pod – and Cindy nailed it with the descriptions). I wish Nicole Richie would have done the same because I loved the styles she created but did not want to plunk down $130 for a dress I was only going to wear a few times.
But I’m done having children so I won’t be buying any of this anyway!!!
I’m 8 months prego and yea I would wear either. When you are pregnant you find that there is really very little selection out there. Cindy….so right! but then again sometimes I like to shop Old Navy and sometimes I shop Banana Republic. Depends on what occation I’m shopping for. Maybe with the next pregnancy I’ll look for her line.
I swear, Heidi is Superwoman. If I were with child I would buy some items from one of her lines.
I will hopefully be preggo pretty soon, and will definetly be looking forward to some of these clothes!!!
I’m 8 months pregnant so it’ll be a little late for me to buy this stuff, but its good to see more maternity wear out there. Though to be honest I’ve skimped out on mine, I hate the idea of spending a lot of money on clothes I grow out of really quickly.
so excited for both of these lines! These lines will come out just in time for me to buy a few pieces for myself. Can’t wait!
[...] beautiful Heidi looks while pregs to mean that they ain’t done birthin’ babies. Since Heidi is about to launch 2 new maternity fashion lines next month, it would come as *no surprise* if she were to get knocked up again. The woman spends most of her [...]
Iam in my 50′s, a few years ago i was dx’d with a disease that is very painful so wearing comfortable clothing is of utmost importance to me, no more tight anything! i was so sick of wearing sweats and overalls, plus the look was not really me, one day whie passing my the maternity store in our mall i thought about trying on some maternity clothes, they have so many cute styles that do not look like pregnancy outfits, my entire closet if loaded with maternity clothes, iam always 100% comfortable and i have never received as many compliments as i now do, i feel good and look good1
my point is that you do not have to be pregnant to wear maternity clothes , especially for other women my age who want comfort and yet be stylish!
