Congratulations are in order today for Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow for each winning a Golden Globe Award (Hall for Best Male Performance for Drama Television Series and Lithgow for Best Supporting Performance by an Actor in a TV Series) last night. Each man gave an utterly AMAZING performance all season long last year on Dexter and not only did themselves proud but also did the show very, very proud:
When last we saw co-stars Hall and Lithgow together, they were discussing the events that took place during the shocking season finale ep of the 4th season of Dexter … so it’s nice to see them side-by-side again in this way. The only award that Dexter was nominated for that they didn’t win was Best Drama Series (which is a damn shame, I think) but, again, these men truly did the series proud and their wins are much deserved. MCH has been nominated 4 times and this was his first, overdue, win. After the jump, watch video of each man giving their acceptance speech at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards last night …
There were many winners that I agreed with last night and far fewer that I did not agree with but I am so happy that Dexter was honored in this way, by these two men, that I have no real cause for complaints about the show at all. I’ll have lots of red carpet photos, on stage photos and more coverage of the Golden Globes later on today … but I couldn’t wait any longer to give my personal congratulations and send out all my love to Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow today. Again, congrats!!!

I love that Chloe Sevigny and Toni Collette won awards last night as well, but this is by far one of my favorites.
This truly made my day.
I didn’t realize how overly excited I would be when both John and Michael until I caught myself applauding in my own living room.
I cried, yes I actually cried cause I was so happy for him after so much is happening to him. He soo deserved it after his confrontation with John, that single scene made the whole season.
Go Dexter! What an awesome show. I’m glad he won an award. Lithgow totally deserved his as well. He played one of the best TV villains I’ve seen in years.
So stoked for both of them!! I was saying all season long that both of them deserved recognition..I”m just worried that, by the time the Emmys roll around, their performances won’t be as fresh in everyone’s minds..I really hope that’s not the case..
I was just thrilled that both men won. They were very deserving. MCH has been robbed for a few years now and I was so glad to see him get his due.
I love this series. Dexter deserves this. His role get more maturity season by season. I have also read the novel on which Dexter series is based. Thanks for this post. It’ just feel good when i saw any post or review about Dexter
