Last week we saw the first photos of David Beckham training with his European soccer team AC Milan in Milan, Italy and today we get to see a few more photos of Becks in training as he continues his quest to try and measure up in order to make the English Soccer team later on this year:

As any Beckham fan should be well aware, it is his life’s mission right now to prove to the English soccer team that he is good enough to play for them in the 2010 World Cup (which will take place later on this year). It is integral that he succeeds as a member of AC Milan in order to prove to his homeland team that he is good enough to play for them … so Becks is training as hard as he can. Until he shows his prowess on the fields of glory in actual soccer games, tho, he really cannot be sure of his success. I’m pullin’ for him to make the English team … it would be a nice way for him to end his soccer career. I understand the English team might even have a chance at winning the World Cup this year. It’s not as if Becks already lives an incredibly charmed life … but a World Cup championship at the end of his career might seal that deal. Good luck, Becksie poo!

It’s because we have a genuine chance of going far (i.e past the quarter-finals) that he’s unlikely to make the squad. It’s not simply that he’s too old but that he hasn’t adapted his playing style enough in the same way that people like Ryan Giggs has.
he looks great and i can’t imagine the england squad without him and i disagree with colette. whenever he comes on as a sub in england games he livens up the game and especiallly gets the crowd excited which gets the players excited. he comes on as a sub for about 10-25 mintues and yet always makes an impact.also his magic crosses and freekicks are better than anyone else’s on the squad. plus he has the experience of three previous world cups and has been the only england player to score in three world cups. last world cup he saved england from losing atleast twice.he may be the quite old in terms of the game but he’s still a valuable player to have. he proved that the last time he was with ac milan and is continuing to do so.you can tell he wants to be able to play with england in the world cup so bad not only is he working hard in the games and training. he has helped with englands world cup bid and took all that critisism when he went on loan last time.good luck to david.thanks for posting
He’ll make the squad. Capello already said that if he plays regularly for Milan then he’ll go. He’s versatile enough that Capello can use him in various spots and circumstances.
But don’t get your hopes up about England winning, not gonna happen.
@Meg, glad you mentioned Capello saying he’d take him. FC was watching him yesterday actually, albeit in a strange position up front (from what was a 4-3-3 apparently). I love me some Becks but England winning the World Cup? I don’t think I could EVER read a British newspaper or tabloid ever again if they did. They still make a big deal about 1966, let alone 2010.
He’ll make the England squad for sure. After watching his performance with Milan v. Genoa yesterday… he really made a difference. And the standing-O when he was taken out late in the game was awesome.
I really just can’t support the guy. He really screwed over his US team, and that isn’t cool now matter how much money you might be making.
@krissy — Well, he didn’t actually screw over the Galaxy, he’s playing in Milan during the MLS offseason and will return after the World Cup.
@krissy–so Landon Donovon, his teammate at the Galaxy, is playing in England with Everton in this off season.. does that mean he’s screwing the Galaxy over? No. Seriously, read up on the matter before passing judgement. Beckham helped the Galaxy make the finals this year. Screwed over his US team? I don’t think so… Just saying…
Beckham is doing something amazing… basically playing soccer 12 months of the year so that he can fulfill his contracts and his dream of playing in the World Cup. Hardly screwing anyone over except maybe his family… but there are certain sacrifices a professional athlete needs to make in their (short playing) careers. Bravo to Beckham.
I think he’ll make the England team for sure..As much as I hope they go far, I’m still standing behind the US, of course, and Spain!
Hey Trent – No comment on the manpris the team appears to be wearing?
