In 2008 Courtney Love promised the world that she would be releasing a new solo album titled Nobody’s Daughter on New Year’s Eve 2009 and when that date came and went, no new album was ever released. As 2009 progressed, C. Love changed her tune (as it were) and decided that Nobody’s Daughter would be released as a Hole album instead of a solo album and promised that it would be released sometime in 2010. I guess in between posting crazy rants online and losing custody of her only child Frances Bean Cobain, Courtney actually did some recording because she has launched a new official website at NobodysDaughter.com which features some of her new music and a few upcoming concert dates:

Well … okay … so the site doesn’t actually feature any new music per se but it does feature a guitar riff that Courtney is particularly proud of and cannot stop bragging about on Twitter. The fact that she’s got 3 shows lined up (in London, Milan and Amsterdam) means that she must surely be serious about getting back to her music career, right? Right. Well, now that she’s no longer burdened with the task of being a custodial parent to her child, she must have more time to work on her craft. I, along with the rest of the world, will be right here waiting with breath that is bated.
