Our dear Britney Spears ventured out into Beverly Hills, CA yesterday to enjoy her first shopping trip of the new year. And try as I might, I am having a *very* hard time not noticing the tacky gold fringe she’s got going on on her purse. I’m also trying not to pay attention to the obvious coffee stains on her shirt in the following photos:
Ah Britney … I do love you so. I’m a bit concerned at how messy she is lookin’ in these photos mainly because they remind me of her really tragic days a few years ago. To be fair, anyone can spill coffee on themselves at any given time … but sadly, I can see how Britney might’ve just picked out an already stained shirt to wear on this excursion. Let’s just assume it was a careless accidental spill from earlier in the day, shall we? Incidentally, there’ve been some rumors that Britney has broken things off with her agent/beau Jason Trawick since the holidays. It would appear that those reports are false — after all, it was Jason who drove her to this store in Beverly Hills yesterday. Check out the photo after the jump …
They look very much together to me ;) I love that he seems to just adore Britney for who she is — coffee stains, fringe, scrunchies and all. That man is a keeper, Brit Brit. Hold on tight girl.

I’m not worried about the coffee stains, either. I spill shit on myself every time I eat, so I can relate! It’s a running joke with my coworkers.
Regarding her clothing/accessories: I figure she should wear whatever she wants for stuff like shopping trips, or family outings. I only really pay attention when she’s working, or making appearances. Then she just HAS to look great!
Please take out the extension and wash your hair Britney.
I still don’t get why everyone think she’s crazy if she wears ugly clothes and a shirt with 2 stains on it…
Coffee stains notwithstanding, it usually seems like a bad sign when she goes brunette….even though I think she looks good with dark hair.

I think Britney’s just destined to have a stain on her clothing when she’s going about her everyday life. She’s just not that into cleanliness. Never has been. So, I guess what I’m saying is, a stain on her shirt doesn’t necessarily mean she’s on a downward spiral, it just means she’s being Brit.

It doesn’t matter what is really going on with her, because her fans and non-fans will always have this set image of her, and apply it to whatever they see. People were defending her actions as “normal” right up until she went into the 5150. A judge says she is a habitual drug addict, and her fans say she has mental illness. Her fans say she has done a tour and is better than ever, and a judge says she still has to be under conservatorship. Anything is possible in the reality show that her life has become.

@frisa — That guy has been her personal bodyguard for a while now, he’s usually cropped out of photos but that’s him.

All I can really say is mental health is key for her. I SINCERELY hope she’s received proper care for herself, which doesn’t seem likely. Talking to a therapist is one of the most important parts of depression and mental health issues, which were very clearly happening a couple years ago. I’m VERY disappointed, no matter the success of the tour and album which I commend her for, that she was right back into work, whether forced or not, instead of taking time off for herself.
She’s got a stain on her top, she isn’t walking around topless. Most mothers I know have stains on their shirt. I’m not a mother and I ALWAYS get something on my clothes when I eat. It’s pretty pathetic. It happens.
Oh c’mon, Britney is the queen of tacky! She never looks clean or put together. But that’s just how she is I guess. Fans will love her anyway.
@Lana…I’m a mother and I never have stains on my clothes. Neither do my friends, who are also Mum’s. Motherhood is no excuse for looking grubby.
Eh she’s the mother of 2 little boys and a busy woman. Give her a break!
She should keep a spare blouse in that huge tacky purse.
