Contrary to one unsubstantiated report
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Are NOT Dunzo!

Despite what you may be hearing in various locales stemming from a singular British report that is completely devoid of fact or substantial information, the happily unmarried Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are NOT separating. To be honest, I’m surprised the initial report has been given as much credence as it has in the day since it came out. When I first heard the ridiculous report, I merely snickered and deleted the message. But, apparently, enough people believe it that Brangelina has to chime in to deny that the report has any merit whatsoever:

While reports are swirling that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are headed for a split, multiple sources close to the family tell PEOPLE that the rumors are false. “Everything is fine” with the couple, who are parents to six kids, a source says. Another source says the split reports, which were first published in a British tabloid, are “totally false.” In recent weeks, it’s been business as usual for the busy couple – movie shoots, family outings, charity work – and several observers say they saw nothing amiss.

Brangelina seem like the most rock solid couple in Hollywood (perhaps because they are not married), I’m certain they will be together forever. They got too many kids to want to split from one another … if anything, they’ll stay together just so they can share the toils of raising the kids! While I was certain the break-up report was false, I’m happy to hear sources confirming the reports falsity. Long live Brangelina! (Tho, they can chill on the kids)

The TV Guide
Crêpes & Art & Wings, Oh My!

Yesterday was a really fun day in Detroit, MI. Because David doesn’t get to The DTM very often, Sarah and I decided that we want to show him how amazing Detroit Rock City is so yesterday was Day 1 of our campaign. We started out the day grabbing lunch at the amazing crêperie Good Girls Go To Paris:

Now I’m not a huge fan of savory crêpes (ie. with meat, etc.) but these crêpes are AMAZING. I enjoyed one with roast beef, brie and cranberries … it was TO DIE FOR! We all shared a sweet crêpe for dessert with granny smith apples, caramel, brown sugar and fresh whipped creme. Seriously, to die. Detroiters, get your ass to Good Girls Go To Paris, I swear you will LOVE it there :)

After we supped almost to death, we made our way to the Detroit Institute of Art then we made our way to Joe Louis Arena to watch the Detroit Red Wings take on the LA Kings. Check out some fun photos after the jump …

Weekend Hotness
Hot Dude Of The Week: Tanner Sarff

Time, once again, to say hello to the lovely chap we like to call the Hot Dude of the Week. Photographed by Rick Day, this week’s Hot Dude looks to be a fine specimen of hotness that folks tend to appreciate around these here parts. Say hello to Tanner Sarff:

I’m not sure if that is a wrestler’s cap on Tanner‘s head but he looks like the kind of guy you prolly wouldn’t mind wrestling, don’t he? Actually, it appears that he’s wearing an askew mask on his head, which I’m glad he’s not wearing properly because he’s far too purdy to cover up his face. I quite like the bird he’s got tattooed on his side and, well, his muscles don’t really hurt either. Yeah, I got no cause for complaint. Enjoy!!

'Basterds' come out on top
The 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards Are Handed Out

Last night members of the Screen Actors Guild made their way out to the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA to attend and revel in the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. As we learned earlier today, Betty White was honored at the SAG Awards last night with the Lifetime Achievement Award but there were many other awards handed out last night. Here are a few photos from the SAG Awards red carpet arrivals:

The Screen Actors Guild Awards are voted on by members of the Screen Actors Guild so, essentially, the actors themselves decide who gave the most award-winning performances of the year. Except for the Academy Awards, I believe the SAG Award is the most coveted by actors because they are given by the actors themselves. Quentin Tarantino‘s Inglourious Basterds took home the top award last night for the Best Ensemble Performance Award (Film) while Glee took home the award for Best Ensemble Performance Award (Television Comedy) and Mad Men took home the award for Best Ensemble Performance Award (Television Drama). After the jump, check out some photos from the show itself and find out who else took home trophies from the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards last night

'Friends' forever
The ‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Plays Hardball With MTV

Now that Jersey Shore has gone from being a ratings hit show to a pop cultural phenomenon, MTV has the hard task of going to the negotiating table with the Jersey Shore cast to try and woo them back for another season of the show. Granted, I would personally like to see a new batch of MTV wannabes cast for the second season of Jersey Shore (making all this talk of contract negotiations with the current cast completely moot) but Hollywood peeps like to bleed a good thing dry before they try something new. As a result of all the attention that Jersey Shore has generated, the cast are banding together to try and get MTV to pay up as much money as possible to get them to return for season 2 of Jersey Shore — they want mo’ money, mo’ money, mo’ money, y’all:

The “Jersey Shore” kids didn’t fall off the pizza delivery truck yesterday — TMZ has learned they have rejected MTV’s salary offer for Season 2. Sources connected with the negotiation say MTV offered Snooki, Pauly D, “The Situation” and the others each a $10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 an episode. We’re told the cast rejected the offer and made it clear — they were negotiating “Friends” style … everyone would get the same amount and it had to be a lot higher than MTV’s offer. Sources say MTV came back and doubled the offer — $10,000 an episode. The cast hasn’t responded to the offer. It’s still a bargain. The season finale of “Jersey Shore” was off the charts with 4.8 million viewers. And, with some members of “The Hills” scoring north of $100,000 an episode, the “Jersey Shore” kids, frankly, should be holding out for a hell of a lot more than $10k. We’ve also learned MTV has a contractual hold on the cast for another year, so technically Snooki and company have no right to renegotiate — but it’s done all the time with hit shows. An MTV spokesperson would not comment on the negotiations and said the network has not made a decision on bringing the show back for Season 2. We’re also told MTV has received thousands of tapes from would-be Guidos and Guidettes.

Firstly, I have to say that I commend the cast for banding together and negotiating as a team. But if they think they are gonna get anywhere close to the money paid out to stars of The Hills, they are sadly mistaken. One short season of any show is not worth $100,000 an episode … sorry Snooki. Again, while I enjoyed this first cast of Jersey Shore miscreants, I’d much rather watch an entirely new batch of tanned, muscled and big boobied fools move into the Jersey Shore house and see what happens. MTV could pay them a pittance and would still be able to deliver the same, ridiculous humor. We’ll see what comes from all of this talk of negotiations but one thing is for sure … Jersey Shore WILL be coming back for a second season. We’ll just have to wait and see which batch of guidos/guidettes will be providing the humor.

My little 'Runaways'
Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning Invade The Sundance Film Festival

The much-anticipated biopic The Runaways makes its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT tonight but actresses Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have made their way to Park City ahead of time to partake of the various film festival events and to begin promoing for their film. Kristen gave a brief interview to E! News at the Sundance premiere of the film Welcome to the Rileys (a film that K. Stew also appears in as the character Mallory) and posed for a few portraits with her Runaways co-star (Fanning) and director Floria Sigismondi:

We had the pleasure of interviewing one of our fave girls on the planet, Kristen Stewart, earlier today at the Sundance premiere of her film Welcome to the Rileys. K.Stew looked Park City chic, bundled in a green jacket with her dark Joan Jett hair loosely pulled back, and was eager to talk about one of the roles she claimed to be most proud of. In WTTR, Kristen plays a “working girl,” as she prefers to say, making it clear to her fans out there she’s not just Bella Swan from Twilight.

Everyone is raving about your performance—how did you prepare for this particular, shall we say, slightly more risqué role?
“Umm, Jake [Scott, the director] had a lot to do with my preparation and understanding of the type of person I was playing, and his serious regard of sensitivity towards those people. I play a girl who has sort of been stripped of any choice and really stripped of any normal upbringing. Like she couldn’t establish who she was because of things that have happened to her and she became a ‘working girl,’ if you want to call it that. So in preparing for the role I talked to a lot of people, actually like three people in New Orleans, that were strippers that were working in this bar that we ended up using in the movie…I don’t really prepare for anything, it’s just about like, keeping it in your mind the whole time. If it affects you…it’s just about understanding it more, it’s not about having to like physically—oh, but I did have to do pole dancing lessons! But you don’t really see that in the movies.”

Oh, so you’ve got some sexy skills now!
“Yeah yeah.”

Do you get nervous when you have to shoot the more provocative scenes?
“I was freaking out! The thing is my character is so, like, she just doesn’t care. Basically nothing belongs to her. She’ll give it to you like it doesn’t bother [her]. So I had to drop that. She literally walks around with an open sore. Literally! She’s just constantly like, ‘Ugh, I’m fine, whatever.’”

Now that you’re getting back to work, please tell us you were able to enjoy your time off after all the New Moon press.
“Yeah, I’m actually bored for the first time in, like, ever. So, yeah, I really want to get back to work.”

We doubt Robert Pattinson is boring, but glad to hear our gal really is a working girl…well, you know what we mean.

I can’t help but like Kristen Stewart. She seems like a totally down girl and considering how ungodly rich she is at such a young age, I’m quite impressed by how “unrich” she always looks. You would think from the way she looks in these Sundance portraits with Dakota and Floria that the theme was “unkempt”. Kristen keeps it real at all times, you gotta love that. The Runaways premieres at Sundance tonight so we should be reading reviews tomorrow … I can’t wait!

Much deserved
Betty White Honored With The SAG Lifetime Achievement Award

The luminous and absolutely fantastic comic actress Betty White was on hand at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA to collect her Lifetime Achievement Award at The Screen Actors Guild Awards last night. As you may recall, we learned earlier this month that White was selected last year to receive this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award and last night was her big night. Here are a couple photos of SAG nominee (and winner) Sandra Bullock presenting Ms. Betty White with her award trophy during the show last night:

Betty White accepted a lifetime achievement award at Saturday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards with the wit and grace that have punctuated her six-decade career. White was the guest-of-honor at a gathering of Hollywood’s top actors and actresses. She walked the red carpet and was treated to lavish praise by her peers. She reflected on her career, which included roles on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “The Golden Girls” and several film appearances. “Seventy-one years ago when I sang on an experiment thing and it was called television, who would have dreamed it would culminate in an evening like this,” White said after accepting her award. She joked backstage that all the attention was going to go to her head. “I’m not going to be fit to live with the next few years.” White, 88, accepted the award from Sandra Bullock after a lengthy montage of White’s work. The pair then exchanged quips. Bullock joked that she finds White annoying, to which White shot back, “Isn’t it heartening to see how far a girl as plain as she is can go?” White had only praise for Bullock backstage. “She’s the epitome of what a movie star should be,” White said. “She’s not only gorgeous and talented, but she’s also the most down-to-earth human being.” Bullock and White recently costarred in “The Proposal,” the latest but not last act in a storied film and television career. White spoke on the red carpet before the awards show of her upcoming film, “You Again,” which is slated for release later this year. “I was only 88 last Sunday, so I have lots more stuff to do,” she said Saturday.

Betty White is a NATIONAL TREASURE and we are very lucky to have her. She has provided countless hours of entertainment over her long career and will forever hold a special place in heart as a result of her storied career. Of course, I love her most on The Golden Girls which also starred the late Estelle Getty, the late Bea Arthur and the ailing Rue McClanahan (get better soon, RUE!) but watching the montage of Betty‘s accomplishments in Hollywood as shown during the SAG Awards last night, I really realized what an amazing actress she has always been. After the jump, check out a couple photos of Betty posing with her Lifetime Achievement Award and watch video of her award presentation last night …

Sets a new record for public donations in a disaster relief telethon
‘Hope For Haiti Now’ Raises $57 Million For Haitian Relief

Amazing news to pass along concerning the multi-network Hope for Haiti Now telethon that aired on Friday night, it turns out that the telethon set a new record for public money donated in a disaster relief telethon by pulling in a staggering $57 million dollars for Haitian relief. As I understand it, 100% of that $57 million (and counting, donations continue to come in and iTunes sales of the telethon performances have not been factored in yet) will go straight to the people of Haiti:

The “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon, led by George Clooney and Haiti-born rapper Wyclef Jean, has raised more than $57 million for relief to the earthquake-ravaged country, organizers said on Saturday. They called the $57 million a record for public donations in a disaster relief telethon, and said the figures were still “preliminary” as they exclude donations by corporations and large private donors and sales figures on website iTunes. Organizers said the “Hope for Haiti Now” album was the biggest one-day album pre-order in iTunes history and was currently No. 1 on iTunes’ album chart in 18 countries. The two-hour telethon featured more than 100 celebrities singing songs, telling tales of loss and survival in Haiti and taking donations by phone. It was broadcast on television networks around the world, online and on mobile carriers … Proceeds will be split among relief organizations including the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, the U.N. World Food Program, Oxfam America, the Red Cross, UNICEF and Yele Haiti Foundation. The January 12, magnitude-7 quake killed up to 200,000 people, Haitian authorities said, and left up to 3 million people hurt or homeless and clamoring for medical assistance, food and water in the Western Hemisphere’s poorest country.

If you considering the hundreds of thousands who have been killed in Haiti, this amount is no match … but I sincerely hope the money gets used in way that will help save the lives of the massive amount of injured people left in the wake of that deadly earthquake. Yes, the country is in dire need of help in all areas but the main focus has to be on the injured people of Haiti. There has already been too much death there. It warms my heart considerably to see that altho many people are struggling financially here in the US and abroad, they still opened up their wallets in a way unmatched by any other disaster relief telethon before. $57 million is a lot of money but keep the donations coming. There are 3 million people who are seriously injured and/or left homeless! They absolutely need our help. Click HERE if you would like to donate to Hope for Haiti Now.
