Last month we got our first look at the new biopic The Runaways which stars Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie and today we get to see a few new promo pics from the film. The Runaways will be making its film festival debut at the Sundance Film Festival this month but these pics give us a peek at what’s to come:

The Runaways follows two friends, Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning), as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. They fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley (Michael Shannon), who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself-and so do its two leads: Joan is the band’s pure rock’ n’ roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten.

Apparition will open THE RUNAWAYS in over 1400 theaters on March 19. The music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s stars Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Danielle Riley Keough, Scout Taylor-Compton (TV’s “Arrested Development”), and Michael Shannon. The film marks the first theatrical collaboration between Apparition and River Road Entertainment. Executive Produced by Joan Jett and Produced by River Road and Linson Entertainment, THE RUNAWAYS will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival Sunday, January 24.

While embattled papa Tiger Woods is reportedly holed up in a sex rehab clinic in Mississippi, his children — Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel — spent the day yesterday with their aunt Josefin Lonnborg (who is an identical twin of her sister Elin Nordegren) having a grand ol’ time as if they didn’t have a care in the (sea) world … behold:

Sam and Charlie Woods were spotted at the marine mammal park with their aunt, Josefin Lonnborg, who is their mom Elin’s twin sister, in town visiting from Europe. “The family took a tour of Sea World that lasted for a couple hours,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They had a wonderful time, everyone was laughing and enjoying the park.” Sam, 2, and Charlie, 11 months, looked happy as they fed the animals then watched the popular “Believe” show starring Shamu the Killer Whale. A couple of weeks ago, the children and their mother Elin temporarily moved into a friend’s home in Windermere, Fla., not far from the Woods family estate. “The house is beautiful and they seem to enjoy being there for now,” a source in Orlando tells PEOPLE.

With all the insane family drama going on between Tiger and Elin, it’s fortuitous that the kids are still young enough to A.) not really understand what is going on and B.) be distracted with stuff like this to keep them occupied and away from the drama. Sam and Charlie are so cute … it’s nice that they can get away from everything with auntie Josefin when their mother is bizzy elsewhere. I’m sure Sam knows the difference but I wonder if Charlie has a hard time recognizing his mother from her twin sister.

David Beckham and his bulge fell prey to Italian TV comic Elena Di Cioccio who ambushed him on the streets of Milan recently for her TV show Le Iene (which translates to The Hyenas in English). Di Cioccio took it upon herself to grab David Beckham‘s family jewels to determine by touch if his package is really as impressive as it appears in his Emporio Armani Underwear ads. Here are a few screencaps of Di Cioccio‘s grabby ploy to find out for herself what sort of heat David Beckham is packin’ in his undies:

David Beckham fell victim to a wacky prank on Italian TV when a female presenter wearing yellow rubber gloves tried to grab his ‘crown jewels’. Blonde TV star Elena Di Cioccio carried out the ‘assault’ on a stunned Beckham, 34, as part of a popular TV show called Le Iene (The Hyenas). He was in the middle of a television interview when she pounced on the unsuspecting footballer in the street. Beckham was clearly unamused and was immediately hustled away by his security into a nearby hotel. But not before giving Ms Di Cioccio a filthy look. Di Cioccio targeted the former Manchester United star – who is now on loan at AC Milan – saying she wanted to see ‘how he measured up’ after it emerged he had been dropped as a Giorgio Armani underwear model by Cristiano Ronaldo. During his two years with the Italian fashion house, England midfielder Beckham was thought to have benefited from a spot of airbrushing to accentuate his six pack – and his package. Shortly after the campaign, in which Beckham was seen wearing a tight white pair of Armani pants, there was suspicion that he had benefited from some computer enhancement in the brief department. Although at the time his spokesman refused to comment on the reports and Armani also remained tight lipped. A source close the footballing superstar told Mail Online: ‘It was done in jest and that’s how David took it. She didn’t actually grab it, it was an attempt. She just got his trouser leg.’ Ms Di Cioccio told viewers: ‘Off the pitch we have seen fascinating photographs of David Beckham in his underpants and seemingly very well endowed and even his wife says that he is well equipped and calls him Golden Balls. ”Well the image may have slipped slightly as he has been replaced in the Armani campaign by a younger footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, but we wanted to find out if he was as well endowed as the pictures suggest or if they were touched up.’ The programme then cut to the outside of a smart Milan restaurant where Beckham was giving an interview to an American TV network while Ms Di Cioccio could be seen putting on the yellow rubber gloves. She then worked her way past the camera crew and attempted to touch Beckham’s testicles who jumped back with a start and looked at her stony faced before he security guards stepped in and dragged her away. As she was led away Ms Di Cioccio called out:’I touched it but it’s small. David you have conned us all. What did you use cotton wool ? It’s all a trick.’ Insiders at Le Iene said: ‘It was just a joke and we hope that Beckham took it in the spirit it was meant.’ … A spokesman for AC Milan said:’We are aware of the incident and we have spoken to David about it but we have no comment to make.’ Today Beckham was in training with his AC Milan team mates ahead of Sunday’s crunch derby with Jose Mourinho’s cross city rivals Inter – apparently none the worse following the incident.

I know this is terrible because had this Di Ciccio woman intended to harm Becks, she deffo could have … but you gotta laugh a little bit when a dude gets his junk grabbed by a bold woman like this. You gotta admit, Elena Di Ciccio has got balls! The day that Pee-Wee Herman fans have been dreaming about has finally come … Paul Reubens has brought back to life his famous character Pee-Wee Herman in a new live action stage show at the Nokia Theater based roughly on his long-running TV series Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. The show has been in previews for about a week now but last night was the big premiere. Here are a few photos of Pee-Wee and some of his character friends as they made their arrivals last night on the red carpet:

The Pee-wee Herman Show officially [opened] at Club Nokia @ L.A. LIVE Jan. 20. Directed by Alex Timbers, the production, which began previews Jan. 12, will continue through Feb. 7. In addition to Paul Reubens as Pee-wee Herman, the cast also features Lynne Marie Stewart as Miss Yvonne; Phil LaMarr as Cowboy Curtis; Jesse Garcia as Sergio, a new character; Josh Meyers as Firefighter; John Moody as Mailman Mike; John Paragon as Jambi; Drew Powell as Bear; Lance Roberts as King of Cartoons; and Lori Alan and Maceo Oliver as voices. Pee-wee’s talking chair Chairry, Pterri the pterodactyl, Conky the robot, Magic Screen and Randy, are also on stage at Club Nokia. “Pee-wee dreams that one day he can fly,” according to press notes. “The play follows Pee-wee’s quest to see this lifelong wish fulfilled. Pee-wee is torn when he has to choose to have his wish granted or better the lives of his friends. This show was originally meant to open last October at the much smaller Henry Fonda Theater but due to popular demand, it got moved to the larger Nokia Theater and was upgraded to the nth degree. It’s been raining cats and dogs here in SoCal (almost literally) so it’s about time that David and I get out of Dodge. We’ve so had it with all this unsavory weather that we are jetting off to enjoy the more temperate climes of Detroit, MI:

Actually, this trip back home to Detroit has been in the works for a while. We are going back East to surprise my dad for this birthday so we’ll be taking off for Detroit tomorrow afternoon for the rest of the weekend. Trust me, I’m not all that jazzed about the cold weather back home but, meh, it’ll be a nice change of pace for a few days.

Today we are expecting another rainstorm so I’ll prolly be staying in all day long, again. With all the packing and laundry I’ve got to take care of, the weather is perfect. Because we fly out tomorrow at midday, it’ll be a shorter day here on the blog … but things will be back to normal from Saturday on. Hope the weather is treating you well wherever you are :)

Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, the principal stars of the CW TV series The Vampire Diaries, share the cover of the new issue of Nylon magazine this month. This ménage of actors will return to the TV airwaves in an all new ep of the series TONIGHT but right now we get to check out their hawt three-way chemistry in the pages of Nylon magazine beforehand:

Those well acquainted with Serena and Little J may find this fact hard to believe: Vampire Diaries, The CW’s budding show about bloodsuckers and the teen girls who love and / or get eaten by them, has double the number of Gossip Girl viewers. What makes it such a hit? It could be the current cultural zeitgeist of Edward, Bella, Sookie, Bill, and immortal drama. It could be the lingering teen appeal of star Nina Dobrev (remember her from Degrassi?). Or maybe it’s just damn fun and funny. Luke Crisell – who calls the show “like Dawson’s Creek with less talk and more action” – sat down with the cast of and asked them himself.

I didn’t think I was going to but I have really become a fan of this show. I started watching it just because it was new but I didn’t expect to get wrapped up in the storyline … at all. I’m not sure what it is, exactly, but I keep wanting to tune in to see what is going on in the shadowy town of Mystic Falls. I’m glad the show is returning from hiatus tonight because, as I understand it, things are about to get really interesting. But, I digress. When last we checked in with Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales, he was making his way around New Zealand to press the flesh with his loyal subjects … but he has since made his way to Australia to tour the country there and continue the flesh pressing. Here are a few photos of Prince Wills enjoying the various aspects of Oz and read some deets about his short tour Down Unda which included gettin’ a smooch from a lovely young Aussie:

If Australia has taken Prince William to its heart, then the feeling is very much reciprocated. On the last day of his hugely popular visit to the antipodes, William spoke from the heart about his passion for the country – and even thanked the nation’s female population for continuing their long-held tradition of kissing members of the Royal Family. The prince – who has been kissed by hundreds of women, young and old, during his many impromptu walkabouts over the last three days – was jokingly referring to the moment during the visit of his father, Prince Charles, in 1979 … William was speaking at historic Government House in Melbourne after being invited to give an address to mark the country’s annual national celebration, Australia Day. The Prince was given a royal fanfare as he entered and such was the crush amid the 1,000-strong crowd of guests invited to hear him speak, that one woman guest fainted in front of him. Earlier William had made the most of his last 24 hours in the country, mixing tea and sympathy with those affected by last year’s devastating bushfires with one of the country’s national religions – cricket – as well as popping into the Australian Open tennis … A combination of record temperatures, high winds and forests dried by years of drought created a series of infernos that swept through vast areas of the state of Victoria last February, killing 173, destroying more than 2,000 homes and displacing more than 7,50 people. Out in the countryside William listened to the harrowing stories of those who survived the country’s worst ever natural disaster and saw for himself the devastation caused by the ravaging flames … During his visit William also met several Australian cricketing legends including Matthew Hayden and Brett Lee, who had travelled down to Flowerdale to give some of the local children a lesson, and was even persuaded to take part in a game. It was like the Ashes all over again as one of the world’s most famous Englishmen stretched his arms in a mock warm-up before he picked up a tennis ball and bowled to Matthew Hayden, Australia’s legendary opening batsman, who was standing at the crease. ‘This is it, this is the moment,’ said the prince as, with a flick of his wrist, he sent the ball flying down to the Australian batting legend.

Much like he charmed New Zealand, Prince Wills appears to have charmed the hearts and minds of the people of Australia as well. I imagine it is quite a spectacle wherever members of the Royal Family appear but it sounds like a fun time whenever Prince William is around. He seems so down-to-Earth and approachable. I’m not saying I’m a fan of monarchies or anything but being ruled over by a prince like William doesn’t sound at all like that bad gig ;)
