In What Will They Think Of Next to Get Impressionable Teens and Moms with Disposable Income to Part with Their Money news, plans are in the works to release the Twilight Saga in the form of graphic novels. Twlight: The Graphic Novel vol. 1 is slated for release in March, here is our first look at the book cover:

I’m delighted to announce, exclusively, that Yen Press will publish Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 1 on March 16, with a first printing of 350,000 copies. Here’s a first glimpse at the book’s cover, as well as an exclusive peek at one of its panels (for a full ten-page excerpt, and the entire Q&A with Stephenie Meyer, see the issue of EW that goes on sale this Friday). What strikes me, looking at the book, is how faithfully, and how beautifully, artist Young Kim has translated Meyer’s original vision. Kim, who has a fine arts background—in fact, this is her first foray into graphic novels—didn’t just read the book; she absorbed it. Her Bella is the Bella I had in my mind’s eye the first time I read Twilight; her Edward is the Edward I always imagined. It took me back to reading Twilight pre-movie: Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson faded into the background.

Some of you may be too young to remember the days when Winona Ryder got busted for shoplifting here in Los Angeles (an event that sparked the creation of the infamous Free Winona t-shirt in the days before such things became an instant sensation on Facebook and Twitter) but these new images of Winona Ryder out for a run-of-the-mill grocery shopping trip reminded me of that felonious time in Winona‘s life … especially since the first thing I wondered was if she paid for her groceries or not:

I have to presume that Winona did pay since she walked out of the store with grocery bags but it might’ve behooved the merchant to pat her down on the way out, just in case she stuffed a smoked turkey in her coat or something. It’s funny, celebs can be remembered for famous roles or famous romances … but they can also be remembered for famous scandals like this as well. I’m not sure what epitaph will be chiseled into Winona Ryder‘s tombstone when she passes into eternity but I would not be surprised at all if somewhere on her headstone her Free Winona days were memorialized with a message like Winona Free, At Last.

Nicholas Hoult, who starred in the first two seasons of the hit UK drama Skins and appears in the new Tom Ford directed film A Single Man, is featured in the pages of the new issue of VMan magazine … behold:

I’ve been a big Hoult fan since his days as Tony Stonem on Skins and while I’ve yet to see A Single Man, I’m dying to see him in action on the big screen. I understand that Hoult will also be starring in the movie remake of Clash of the Titans which stars Sam Worthington as Perseus. Actress/model/artist Grace Jones stepped out for dinner at La Cecconis in Beverly Hills, CA last night and she was lookin’ the epitome of fierce perfection. A lot of young’ns these days think that some new pop stars on the scene are “creative” and “inventive” because of the way they dress but I think Ms. Jones here reminds us that some divas have been truly creative and inventive for decades, long before the pretenders to the throne of avant garde made it on the scene:

You may recall that last week we learned that Twilight star Kellan Lutz is up for the role of Conan the Barbarian (a remake of the original film of the same name which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger) and I was reminded that Grace Jones played an integral role in the sequel film Conan the Destroyer. I wonder who might be cast to play her character Zula should a remake of that film be made. Producers these days would be hard pressed to find a woman as literally fierce as Grace Jones still is. This is a diva, y’all. It would behoove you to recognize and bow down.

Kylie Minogue, Aussie pop queen supreme, has set the Internets a-blaze with new comments and confessions she has made to Mexican Max magazine. In a recent interview with the mag, Kylie has admitted a same-sex attraction to other women tho she clarifies that she has “never done anything” with another woman. MMM HMMM. Here are a couple pics of a smiley Kylie making her way out of her London apartment today and the deets about her revelatory comments:

The ‘Wow’ singer admits she is a “natural flirt” and can’t help but admire beautiful women, but is adamant she has never been involved in a same-sex relationship. Kylie, 41, told Max Mexico magazine: “I have been attracted to some women. I am a sexual exhibitionist and part of me is a natural flirt. “But although I am attracted to women, I have never done anything with them.” Kylie – who is currently dating Spanish male model Andres Velencoso, 31 – was spotted at the 7th Heaven pole dancing club in the French ski resort of Chamonix three weeks ago. Dancers Faye O’Neil and Katrina Redfern said the singer was “transfixed” as she watched them perform a sexy routine. Kylie has also previously joked about becoming a lesbian because of her huge gay fan base, and admitted to being attracted to late US actress Tallulah Bankhead. She said: “I’d go gay for her. She was a fascinating and exotic woman. There was so much to admire about her. She lived life to the full, maybe a little too fully. I want to release the inner Tallulah in me.” In 2000, Kylie sent men’s pulses racing when she kissed ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell on a British TV chat show.

OMG, I love her. I think there are a lot of folks out there who have some sort of same-sex attraction (I am a firm believer in the Kinsey Scale) and I think it’s quite brave for Kylie to open up about her feelings. It is very natural to feel an attraction towards someone and not feel the need to act on those feelings. While a part of me is certain that Kylie‘s comments come from a place of jest and whimsy, I’m also certain that she is offering a bit of truth about herself as well. I wish other celebs were as open and honest as Kylie Minogue is :)

Last night David and I took our dear Kirsten out for dinner at La Bohème in West Hollywood, CA for a last supper of sorts for just the three of us. David missed out on hanging with us the last time Kirsten and I hung out so we decided to take her out especially, just the 3 of us:

As usual, we had a fantastic time … so fantastic, that I was in the mood to wear my fabulous Aretha Franklin hat. Fun, right?

As the rain continues to fall here in SoCal, we Los Angelinos continue to do as much hibernating as possible. That’s pretty much my plan for today :)

Rumors have been flying all over the place as to Where in the World is Tiger Woods these days in the wake of the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal which drove him into hiding. While we’ve had a few sightings of embattled wife Elin Nordegren in the past few weeks, the only place Tiger Woods has shown up is on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. There was a rumor back in December that Woods checked himself into a rehab clinic in Arizona but no real proof emerged from that report. Recently, The National Enquirer and others have claimed that Tiger Woods is actually in a sex rehab clinic in Mississippi … and this time, the Enquirer is claiming to have photographic proof:

Tiger Woods is receiving treatment for sexual addiction at a sex rehabilitation clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi according to two television stations and an author on the topic. Television stations WJTV and WLBT reported, citing unnamed sources, that Woods was at the Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services center, where security is tight and dark tarps have been placed upon wire fences. Benoit Denizet-Lewis, who wrote a book on sex addiction, wrote in a blog entry that Woods was receiving treatment at the sex-rehab facility, where he spent time while working on the book regarding sexually compulsive behavoir. Clinic officials have refused to confirm Woods is there to the television stations. ESPN also reported officials would not confirm Woods is a patient. Woods has admitted infidelity to wife Elin and more than a dozen women have claimed to have had affairs with the world’s top golfer, a scandal touched off when Woods drove his vehicle into a hydrant and a tree nearly two months ago.

HMMMM. I’m not sure that this photo provided by The National Enquirer is actually of Tiger Woods at all … but that doesn’t necessarily invalidate the claims that he is, indeed, checked into a sex rehab center in Mississippi. I mean … it could be him in the photo … just like it could be a staged photo to make it look like it’s him. What do y’all think … first, do you think Tiger Woods is really gettin’ help for his supposed sex addiction in Mississippi? And second, do you think this is a photo of Woods at said Mississippi rehab clinic?

Ever since I can remember, Sweetheart candies have been a part of my Valentine’s Day celebrations. In Elementary School, we used to fashion cardboard mailboxes to attach to our desks so that on Valentine’s Day, our friends could deposit Valentine’s Cards and gifts into those boxes … gifts that always included small boxes of those chalky Sweetheart candies with messages like “Love U”, “True Love”, “My Cutie”, “Too Hot”, “Kiss Me” and more (and I distinctly remember giving a few “Kiss Me”s to some lucky girls in my classes over the years … ’tis a shame those young ladies didn’t snap me up while I was still available). Over the years, the folks who imprint these sweet messages onto these candies have added more modern messages to the mix (like “Fax Me”) and this year they have added a few new modern messages as well:

Sweethearts, those tiny heart-shaped candies with expressions of love printed in pastel, are boasting new phrases for a new decade that respresent the ever-changing times we live in. The treats have been a Valentine’s Day tradition since the days of Lincoln, but for the first time in the candy’s 145-year history, this year Sweethearts will feature contemporary sayings chosen by an online poll. Manfacturers dumped all the previous expressions and asked candy fans to write new ones. Voters came up with “You Rock,” “Soul Mate,” “Love Bug,” “Tweet Me,” “Text Me.”and “Me & You” The company even has a Twitter account! The new Sweethearts will also offer some new flavors – including green apple, blue raspberry, strawberry, lemon, grape and orange.

While I love the idea that new, modern phrases have been added to the mix I’m bummed that all “previous expressions” have been dumped in the process. Some of those phrases may sound corny now but they’re iconic. In the end, tho, it’s really about how the Sweethearts taste and I am very much looking forward to enjoying me some Sweethearts this VD season. Are any of y’all Sweethearts fans? On Sunday we learned the surprising (yet not so shocking) news that Jennie Garth, who plays the role of Kelly Taylor, is “leaving” 90210 (which is a redux of her original series Beverly Hills, 90210) and today we learn that another elder actor on the show is leaving as well. Rob Estes, who plays West Beverly High principal and father of the sibling protagonist characters on the show, is also leaving the show either due to a contract dispute with the network or because he feels the need to move on to another project. Whatever the case may be, Estes‘s character Harry Wilson will NOT be returning to the show next season:

Veteran actor and past soap star, Rob Estes, who plays Harry Wilson the school principal, has abruptly and unexpectedly quit the show amongst rumors of contract negotiations falling short of the mark. “The bottom line is that Rob won’t be on the show next season,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “ The producers, the studio and Rob came to the conclusion together that his role had ran its course. There just wasn’t enough for Rob to do because the show is more about the kids.” But going on to hint at the real reason for Rob quitting the show, the source continues, “Rob’s an expensive actor and wants to be challenged and it became increasingly clear that most of the penny lifting was going to the younger cast members of the show, who Rob adores. He’s absolutely leaving the show on good terms.” But another source tells a slightly different story about Estes’ departure. “Rob’s not happy about it all,” the source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Basically they couldn’t agree on money and that’s all it comes down to. Rob’s an experienced actor and feels he deserves to be compensated accordingly, but the CW just want to cut costs and they want to reward all these young, hot, up and coming, and therefore cheaper, actors and actresses instead. Rob was loving working on the show and was really looking forward to continuing to do so. Plus, to be frank, he needs the money, this is going to hit him hard.”

HMMM. I personally think the latter explanation is the true one, Estes is most likely not happy to be leaving the show. His character, altho an adult on the show, is a pretty key character. Not only is he one of the parents of the main sibling protagonists on the show but he is also the main adult character at West Beverly High, where all the action takes place. I wonder what Estes‘s leaving the show will mean for Lori Loughlin‘s character (she plays his wife on the show). Are all the adults gonna get axed from the show next season?
