Madonna‘s young stud and sometimes fashion model/DJ Jesus Luz is featured in a new photoshoot by photographers Erik Asla and Shavawn Rissman. Basically, all you get is Jesus Luz wearing nothing but a skimpy (and wet) white speedo and a Kabbalah string:

Tori Amos sat down to do an interview with Spinner to promote her holiday album Midwinter Graces and shared a few memories from her Xmas celebrations from days of yore. In one particularly vivid memory, Tori remembers heading a children’s choir while she wore a pair of sassy red leather pants:

“Red leather pants was one of the things I remember. I was teaching the children’s choir at Potomac United Methodist’s Church, right outside of Washington, at one point in my teens. I guess I was about 15,16, and I had these great red leather pants. I was really inspired to take on the job because it’s not as if anyone was banging down my door to offer me anything other than playing the bars — which I was doing six nights a week. But I wanted to give something to the kids, and if that was the place that was letting me do it — because of my dad — and they did have a shortage of people who wanted to teach, I thought, ‘OK.’ It was kind of religious music but it didn’t have to be filled with shame. We would pick the material that would make the kids feel good, and I had a really stormin’ choir.”

The producers of the big screen adaptation of Sherlock Holmes have come under fire by Andrea Plunket, the person who controls the US copyrights to the character Sherlock Holmes, because she feels that the movie presents the master sleuth and his able cohort Dr. John Watson a little bit too gay for her taste. Plunket has threatened to deny the rights to any future movies made by Guy Ritchie that star Robert Downey, Jr. (as Holmes) and Jude Law (as Watson) if they continue to allude to a homosexual relationship between the characters:

Plan to make “Sherlock Holmes” sequel has been put under fire due to homosexual hints. According to several sites, the executors of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s literary estate have threatened to withdraw Guy Ritchie’s rights to the Sherlock Holmes story if the director suggests that there is romantic relationship between the lead characters in his upcoming movie. Recently, Robert Downey Jr. appeared in “Late Show with David Letterman” and hinted at a homo erotic subtext in the relationship between his detective character and Jude Law’s Dr. Watson. During the interview, the 44-year-old let the audience to determine whether Holmes is “a very butch homosexual.” Infuriated by Downey Jr.’s statement, Andrea Plunket who controls the remaining U.S. copyrights to the Holmes story responded, “I hope this is just an example of Mr. Downey’s black sense of humor. It would be drastic, but I would withdraw permission for more films to be made if they feel that is a theme they wish to bring out in the future.” She then added, “I am not hostile to homosexuals, but I am to anyone who is not true to the spirit of the books.” “Sherlock Holmes” [was released] in theaters across the U.S. on December 25. A month before it was released, Robert Downey Jr. has revealed that storyline for two sequels have been planned, saying “Between Guy [Ritchie] and me, the missus [producer Susan Levin] and Joel Silver [producer], we definitely know what we would like to do for the next two sequels.”

LOL. Now, not only are people being attacked for their sexual orientation but fictional characters are now being targeted because of their alluded to sexual orientations (which don’t even exist because they are fictional characters). I’m sorry, but I personally feel that Ms. Plunket sounds like a complete idiot with these comments. It sounds like she fears that the popularity of a literary character like Sherlock Holmes might be “marred” if he is perceived as gay. Does she really have so little faith in the popularity of such a giant literary character, one that has existed for many many decades? My guess is that the producers of a Holmes sequel will do whatever they can to placate the ridiculous fears of this person and will still present the very same characters they offered in the first film. Is this not the most ludicrous thing you’ve ever heard?

Last June we learned that Emma Watson, of Harry Potter fame, was chosen as the new spokesmodel for Burberry fashion house and at the time got our first look at some of her promo photos for the Fall 2009 ad campaign. Today we get to check out a new batch of Burberry photos featuring Miss Watson as we get our first look at the new Spring/Summer 2010 campaign and some info from a new press release:

As I said back in June, I love Emma as the new spokesmodel for Burberry … they seem a perfect fit for one another. They are both classic, classy and distinctly British. In 2008 Courtney Love promised the world that she would be releasing a new solo album titled Nobody’s Daughter on New Year’s Eve 2009 and when that date came and went, no new album was ever released. As 2009 progressed, C. Love changed her tune (as it were) and decided that Nobody’s Daughter would be released as a Hole album instead of a solo album and promised that it would be released sometime in 2010. I guess in between posting crazy rants online and losing custody of her only child Frances Bean Cobain, Courtney actually did some recording because she has launched a new official website at NobodysDaughter.com which features some of her new music and a few upcoming concert dates:

Well … okay … so the site doesn’t actually feature any new music per se but it does feature a guitar riff that Courtney is particularly proud of and cannot stop bragging about on Twitter. The fact that she’s got 3 shows lined up (in London, Milan and Amsterdam) means that she must surely be serious about getting back to her music career, right? Right. Well, now that she’s no longer burdened with the task of being a custodial parent to her child, she must have more time to work on her craft. I, along with the rest of the world, will be right here waiting with breath that is bated.

Last night David and I met up for dinner with my good friend Tony at The Grove. I hadn’t seen Tony since before Xmas so it was a nice chance to get together and catch up. We decided to grab some eats at the world famous Cheesecake Factory and practically walked right into actor Louis Lombardi (Sopranos, 24) who played the amazing CTU tech (and nemesis/BFF to Chloe O’Brien) Edgar Styles on 24 a few years ago. I damn near lost my shizz … I loved him on 24. It turns out that he and his dinner date were seated right behind us … like, right directly behind me. I kinda had to sneak a stealthy photo of him:

I remember that fateful day back in March 2006 that I sadly had to Peace the Spork Out Edgar from 24 … he was sorely missed from the show ;( It was very fun running into him tho :)

Tonight, David and I are venturing out to enjoy Date Night. Now that the holidays are dunzo, we can get back on schedule. In early December we got our first look at Lisa Kudrow‘s upcoming guest appearance on BFF Courteney Cox-Arquette‘s hit ABC series Cougar Town and a couple weeks after we got to see the first video promo for the ep. Today we get to see a couple new promo photos from the set of Cougar Town and we learn a bit more about Kudrow‘s appearance on the show. Be warned, the following report contains spoilers for the ep that has yet to air:

It seems Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow became companions for life after working together for almost 10 years on Friends. Because six years after the hit comedy show ended, the pair are still keen to work together … She guest stars as a nasty dermatologist who digs her claws into zany divorcee Jules Cobb’s (Cox) ex-husband. The episode airs in the U.S. on Wednesday. Cox and Kudrow starred as Monica Geller and Phoebe Buffay for 10 seasons on NBC’s Friends. During a break from filming the episode last November, the duo – who are pals in real life, as evidenced by their unabashed banter – chatted about working opposite each other again. ‘I get to play a really mean person,’ teased Kudrow, ‘so that’s really fun.’ Last year, Cox guest-starred on Kudrow’s wry online improv series Web Therapy as a psychic looking to get her sixth sense back from Kudrow’s matter-of-fact therapist. Kudrow insisted she would have taken just about any role offered on Cougar Town, as long as it didn’t require any nudity. Cox, 45, however, has not had such an issue with stripping off on screen and has done so in the name of laughs on more than one occasion since Cougar Town debuted on ABC last September to more than 11million viewers. ‘I’ve turned a corner,’ Cox said jokingly. ‘Now that I’m this age, I’ve decided to go as nude as possible.’ ‘You look great,’ Kudrow told her. ‘No, Lisa, I’m lit well,’ Cox retorted. ‘Well, I could be on the surface of the sun, and it wouldn’t look good,’ Kudrow quipped. Cox said there was an open invitation for all her Friends co-stars – Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston – to stop by Cougar Town. But she was most anxious for a visit from Kudrow, a Groundlings improv vet who starred in such films as Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion and Wonderland during her Friends tenure. ‘I really wanted Lisa to be on the show, if she would,’ said Cox. ‘First of all, she’s so unbelievably talented. I knew she’d go out there and play a really fun character, so it just kind of worked out perfectly for her to play a dermatologist that is very judgmental and not nice. She takes those risks… It was great.’

Congratulations are, apparently, in order for designer Marc Jacobs and his fiancée Lorenzo Martone because it is being reported by Guest of a Guest that the men got hitched while on holiday St. Bart’s! As you may recall, we’ve been following the speedo-clad lovers as they enjoyed the beaches of St. Bart’s over the past couple of weeks but today we are learning that the couple said I Do somewhere along the way. Here is a photo from the couple’s wedding reception. I guess they really did get hitched, y’all!

Marc Jacobs made an honest man out of Lorenzo Martone this week, by marrying him in a private ceremony in St. Barts. Following the ceremony, the couples were feted at an exclusive private dinner hosted by Larry Gagosian … The couple got engaged in March of 2009, after a year of dating, and both men have expressed interest in eventually adopting. The most adorable part of their wedding? The cake toppers, which were molded to look exactly like the couple, with mini-Lorenzo in a tux, and mini-Marc wearing his signature kilt and no shirt so as to best showcase his Sponge Bob Squarepants tattoo. Also joining them on top of the cake was Jacobs’ pitbull Daisy.

Woot!! This is great news! It was rumored that the couple were wed in France sometime last year after they got engaged but nothing substantial ever came from those reports (which is why I wasn’t sure if they were really married or not). But I guess the pair finally went and did the deed while they’ve been vacationing in the tropics. The couple have been lookin’ awfully lovey-dovey on their almost daily beach excursions, I guess now we know why. It’s not entirely clear when the men tied the knot (either in 2009 or 2010) but they may have beaten Vince Vaughn and Kyla Weber as the first married couple of the new year.
