I am stunned at how big Sunday Rose has grown. Wasn’t she just born like a week ago and now she’s this little girl, big enough to feed carrots to giraffes. These photos are very cute … but considering how quickly this little Miss has grown already, I’m sure it won’t be very long before she turns into a bona fide big kid. Here’s to a happy and prosperous new year for the Kidman-Urban fam.

Trainwreck Amy Winehouse spent the last moments of 2009 pretty much the same she spent most of the last 3 years of her life … in a dazed haze of messy confusion. Here are a few tragic-looking photos of Amy doing what she does best as the last hours of 2009 slipped away and she stumbled towards 2010:

She famously refused to go to rehab, but it seems Amy Winehouse could do with a few days’ rest. The Grammy award-winning singer looked as though she had taken getting into the festive spirit a step too far after a night out in Camden. Winehouse, 26, emerged worse-for-wear from the North London pub with the assistance of a friend on Wednesday. Wearing a fur-lined brown jacket and a red Fred Perry T-shirt – as well as her trademark thick black eyeliner and beehive hair style – Winehouse appeared bedraggled as the evening’s antics seemed to take their toll. And it also seems Winehouse, rumoured to be ‘remarrying’ ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil, experienced a make-up malfunction, revealing a large circle of cover-up above her top lip. Winehouse was rumoured to have spent New Year’s Eve in hospital after collapsing. However, her representatives have strongly denied this, adding: ‘It’s just not true. She won’t be checking into hospital, she has no need to.’ Winehouse, who is due to appear in court over assault charges on January 20, said she has been hard at work over the festive period.

I would bet good money that Amy Winehouse has NO IDEA what year it is so I doubt this messy outing had anything really to do with celebrating New Year’s Eve. I’m constantly amazed that she continues to blather her way from day to day in a seemingly conscious state. The woman is the epitome of messiness and it’s a wonder she is still able to be stumble thru at all. I sincerely hope that 2010 is not a repeat performance of her previous years because I doubt she’ll be able to keep up this kind of lifestyle for very much longer. Ugh.

David and I spent the last hours of 2009 with our new, dear friends Emma and Josh in Manhattan Beach, CA where the plan was to celebrate with a fabulous home-cooked dinner before ringing in 2010 on the beach under the full, Blue moon. Emma and Josh put together a feast that was beyond amazing … lobster tails, steak, baked potatoes, stuffed mushrooms … it was to die for. We whooped it up a bit when it turned 2010 on the East Coast and ended up throwing a bit of a dance party. In the last hour of 2009, we got on bikes and rode down to Hermosa Beach to ring in the New Year on the Pier with a huge group of revelers there:

I cannot even convey to you how much fun we had. The weather was perfect, the company was perfect … the setting was absolutely perfect! After we rode back to Manhattan Beach, we parked the bikes and made our way down to the water’s edge. There we were, at the end of the continental US standing in front of the Pacific Ocean under the brightest moon possible … it was truly magical. David and I waded a bit into the water so that we could touch the ocean … it was just amazing.

We spent about 20 minutes on the beach before we returned to Josh’s place. That’s when the Polaroid photosession took place. After the jump, check out a few of my fave Polaroids that were snapped last night …

Jennifer Lopez was among the artists who performed live in Times Square, NYC last night as part of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010 and La Diva Latina really put it all out there by choosing to perform on national television while wearing a body-hugging unitard bodysuit. In all honesty, J. Lo‘s got a bod worthy of being on display but I’m not sure the sparkly dark unitard she wore really did her any favors. J. Lo performed a medley of three songs — Louboutins, Waiting for Tonight and Let’s Get Loud — and really did a fantastic job, IMHO, with her performance … complete with booty jiggle and everything. But as Jennifer Lopez cavorted on stage in an utterly unforgiving diamanté-studded catsuit last night, her once ample bottom appeared to have been downsized. Suffice it to say, there was no space for any lumps or bumps in a figure-hugging outfit which stole the show. She teamed the catsuit – which looked see-through under the stage lights – with a pair of matching diamanté studded ankle boots. The 40-year-old singer was performing her 1999 hits Waiting For Tonight and Let’s Get Loud and her new single Louboutins at Times Square in New York to celebrate the start of 2010. Despite miserable weather, more than 750,000 revellers braved the cold and rain to watch J.Lo sing. Millions also watched the show on television. ‘You didn’t think I could do that in the rain did you?’ she said after risking a major wardrobe malfunction with a hugely energetic routine. Her audience cheered as she writhed on the stage before high-kicking along to Frank Sinatra’s classic New York, New York. J.Lo grew up in the Bronx but admitted she had never been to Times Square to celebrate New Year’s Eve. After her performance, she told host Ryan Seacrest: ‘This is my first time ever coming down here. It’s just so much good, hopeful, amazing, loving energy. I feel like a little girl!’ Seacrest, who was presenting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, couldn’t hide his admiration for J.Lo’s costume. He grinned: ‘That outfit has made my year!’

Yeah right, Seacrest, whatever you say. I was not able to watch J. Lo‘s performance as it aired live last night but I did get to watch it this morning online and, in all honesty, I think she did a great job. Yesterday we learned that Patrick Disney Miller, grandson of the late Walt Disney, was formally charged with multiple felony counts of weapons and drugs possession and today we learn that Miller appeared in court in Van Nuys, CA yesterday to answer those charges against him. Miller plead Not Guilty on all counts leveled against him … but because of the severity and number of charges laid against him, his bail was set at $550k and he was immediately taken into custody. TMZ managed to get a photo of Miller so that we can see what the naughty Disney heir looks like:

Walt Disney’s grandson pled not guilty to 24 felonies in Van Nuys Superior Court today — which is officially the number of charges it takes to make DMX blush. As we first reported, Patrick Disney Miller was arrested earlier this month after cops busted him for possession of ammunition … a violation of his parole from a 2005 drug conviction. Prosecutors tacked on 23 felonies yesterday — including 19 counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, one count of possession of an illegal assault weapon and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm. Miller — who was free on $35,000 bail — was taken into custody after the hearing and his bail was upped to $550,000. He’s due back in court on Feb. 4.

Geeze! It sounds like Miller is in some deep trubs. It’s bad enough that he was found in violation of his former drug conviction but to allegedly get busted with so much weaponry and drugs … I find it hard to believe that he will be able to avoid prosecution of all 24 felony counts leveled against him. Miller will be back in court next month so we’ll have to wait and see if he is able to get himself out of this mess. I bet he’s wishin’ he could use some of that Disney magic to save himself from these charges. Yikes.

Lindsay Lohan made her way down to the isle of St. Bart’s just in time to countdown the last moments of 2009 and to ring in 2010 and made sure to share the fun with all of her Twitter followers. Lindsay posted a series of celebratory and positive tweets on her official Twitter profile along with a couple of personal photos:

I’m glad to know that Lindsay had herself a great time and it sounds like she was in great spirits. I’m taken with her tweet, tho, that mentions that she is starting the new year without “boyfriends and the other drama”. Considering that her last serious, longish-term relationship was with Samantha Ronson, it appears that she is admitting that she has gone back to dating men rather than women. I suppose we can assume that “the other drama” might refer to her relationship with Ronson but we can’t be sure. Whatever the case may be, we can be assured that the promise of LOHAN MAYHEM!!!!!!!! in 2010 is one that will be kept. Are y’all ready?

I can’t think of a better way to kickstart the new year than with a bunch of photos of Kellan Lutz, of Twilight fame, standing around on New Year’s Eve down in Miami, FL wearing nothing but a pair of boardshorts:

Mr. Lutz was chillin’ with his homies poolside at the Shore Club Hotel as the last hours of 2009 were slipping away and, I might add, was lookin’ damn good doing so. I’m not sure what Kellan‘s new year’s resolutions are for ’10 but I’m hoping he has resolved to spend a lot more time out in public in various states of undress … the more undressed the better. Woot!!

And so … a new year and a new decade begins. David and I managed to survive the raucous night unscathed, well, mostly unscathed. There were a lot of fun shenanigans last night but we absolutely enjoyed amazing time on the beach with our friends Emma and Josh … and as a result, things will be a little slower today:

I might’ve had a bit too much of the bubbly last night (hence the pounding in my head) and I *know* David had a bit too much to drink last night (hence the fact that he is still passed out in bed) so today will prolly be a bit of a shorter day for me. Here’s hopin’ y’all are feeling a bit better today in the wake of last night’s festivities ;) But, it’s the first day of 2010 and we must soldier on. I’ll share a few of my fave photos from last night a little bit later on … and I know many of y’all snapped a lot of fun pics last night so I’m hoping you’ll send your fave ones to me at pinkisthenewblog @gmail.com so I can post them tomorrow :)
