Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, who can be seen in the new film Country Strong next month, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Seventeen magazine. In her coverstory interview, Leighton waxes poetic on life, love and music. For the most part, the accompanying photospread is … nice … but the coverphoto, I’m afraid to say, is absolutely horrendous.
I’m blind. The mere sight of this coverphoto has left me blind … and hating my eyes for having seen the photo in the first place. I have no idea what in HELL made the editors at Seventeen think that the outfit chosen for this coverphoto was a good idea but … no … just no. As I said, the rest of the photos in the spread are … nice … and better … but not by very much:
UGH! Am I crazy or are these printed outfits just … ugly … and way too bizzy. I can’t say I’m really crazy about the hair styling either … I never noticed how large Leighton‘s forehead is … but there it is … large and in charge. Without question, Leighton Meester is a beautiful young woman … it’s just a shame that this Seventeen magazine photospread doesn’t really highlight that fact very well :/

I remember one of the first episodes of Gossip Girl when she does a photoshoot and sucks at it. This looks pretty similar. No expression, just blah. Sorry, pretty girl, bad model.
Awww, Leighton. Such a pretty girl. These pics are NOT doing it for me, but I mostly just can’t stand any of the outfits. Goodness… there’s at least one stylist who needs to be fired! Haha.
i bought this magazine on tuesday and i have to agree i dont care for the cover photo either. it is a very good magazine though.
