Congratulations are in order for Miss Dakota Fanning … because she was voted this year’s Homecoming Queen by her classmates at Campbell Hall Episcopal School here in SoCal on Saturday night. Here is a cute photo of Queen Dakota and her Homecoming King football stud during the coronation ceremony at this weekend’s Homecoming football game:

While I certainly send my heartiest congratulations to Dakota on her Queendom, I must also express my most profound consolations to all of the other girls who attend classes at Campbell Hall School because I imagine it is quite difficult to compete for the title of Homecoming Queen against a fairly popular and very successful Hollywood actress. Still, I’m sure Dakota will rule honestly and fairly during her tenure as Queen of Campbell Hall. All Hail, y’all!

cute!
I love seeing Dakota doing her regular-girl high school thing! She’s so cute and grounded, and she’s getting to experience her teens as normally as she can under the circumstances.
Last year, she was just a princess in the court…not queen. So cute!
You know some of those other girls just hate her! Awww. I think she’s so talented and so lovable. But you know how high school goes…
HMMMMMMMM… muy interesante!
I bet she is so cool to everyone at school! She seems like she wouldn’t waster her time with that “what group you fall in” bullshit at school!! Congrats!
It’s adorable how she went to the big game dressed up as Kate Hudson!
I agree Mr Gyllenhaal! I think it shows that she must be a really cool classmate that everyone probably likes. They could all easily hate her!
Yes, Trent, I agree with Bob.
Last year she was a princess, not the queen.
@Bob @g — Gotcha, thanks!!
Maybe it’s the picture but I am totally seeing a re-make of Carrie. This picture totally made me think of it.
she looks like shes going to some kind of award show… lol. look u can see that one of the other nominees is just wearing jeans…. that’s cute.
that’s shocking…she’s a hollywood celeb. who else would they choose???
What a shame. If she had any class at all she’d of declined even being in the running. Isn’t being a movie star enough of an accolade. Hey, let some other teenage girl’s dreams come true.
@Rongrant- what’s wrong with her wanting to be the same as other teenage girls? Is she not allowed to, just because she is a recognized actress?
I’m sure her classmates don’t see her as ‘Dakota Fanning the actress’ and just ‘Dakota Fanning, another student in our school’
I think Dakota has a lot of class and seems to be a very down to earth person.
She is growing to be a beautiful young woman, so congrats to her for getting this! It seems like she is living a very nice high school life :)
agree what ama said. So she should just stay in the shadows because she is famous? Just like if she didn’t want to come first in a science fair or get the top mark in exams because another kid had dreams of winning such titles etc.
Dakota seems soooo down-to-Earth during interviews when she talk about her high school experience. I’m sure she is overall pretty well loved at her high school. She’s adorable! I’m glad that she is able to go through her teen years as normal as possible!
I rarely comment on these but, I think it’s great that she’s homecoming queen. A lot of teen actresses face ridicule and bullying during their high school years. I’m sure she deserves it.
Too cute just gotta love her!! She was phenomenal in Hounddog! Stellar actress and Stellar HCQ too!
