A couple of weeks ago we got our first look at the album artwork for the new Good Charlotte album Cardiology, which is scheduled for release on November 2. Today we get our first look at music video for the first single from the album. Here are a few screencaps from the just-released music video for Like It’s Her Birthday:

As you might imagine from a song with such fun lyrics (She’s so wasted / Acting crazy / Making a scene / Like it’s her birthday / Drinking champagne / Going insane / Falling on me / Like it’s her birthday) the video is pretty fun, too. In the vid, the currently single lead GC guitarist Benji Madden is the Mack Daddy gettin’ his freak on with his hard-partying ladyfriend. After the jump, check out the video in full …
I love the song, I love the vid … it’s so great to have the Good Charlotte boys back with new tunes. I’m really anxious to hear more.

This song is great but i wonder what their album will be like if this is the lead single
Bahah, I just saw them a couple months ago in Pittsburgh, acoustic set…compared to this.
Love it though.
Um, I guess I don’t get it. It sounds like music for little kids or something. Not the content, obviously, but the tune sounds like something preschoolers would sing!
Paul is looking good! Not fond of the video though.
The song and video obviously is for fun, they have one of these types of songs on each album, I love it. I was at the acoustic show in Pittsburgh in June as well, it was amazing, I’m a little sad they didn’t belt this one out acoustically then. Highly anticipating November 2nd for when ‘Cardiology’ comes out.
I prefer their older album.
This music video made me feel bad about myself. Who knew you could be jealous of a girl in a video. haha
Benji is a HUNK! hahaha
And go Billy with the guitar solo.
I like it, but I think it will have to grow on me a bit to really love it. :)
Do you also think that this song is about Paris?
i love them.. i love the song… i love the video…. i love that billy busted out a solo like synyster gates would lol and all the boys are lookin REALLY good! i cant wait for their album to come out!
and im jealous of that chick all over benji…
song came out soon after nicoles birthday, yeah?
in my head, its a birthday song to her xD
i dont really like it… but i love good charlotte. so i do… just not a fave
its a shame they’ve done this already. does anyone ever write deeper lyrics? popcorn punk, as my friend calls it.
The song is too pop for me. I like old Good Charlotte, “Another loser anthem” and stuff.
Are they corrected by Photoshop in the video? Their skin is soooo smooth and unnatural. Shouldn’t they be rough, rock guys? I’m sorry, to me it’s like video for “Girls don’t like boys” but this time, being a boyband is not a joke…
Wow… this sucks. I was a huge GC fan back in the day and I was very curious and eager to listen to their new music (and even more after they supposedly started over just when their “new album” was about to be finished because it wasn’t perfect enough or something like that), and they come up with THIS?? the song is irrelevant and lame and the lyrics, oh the lyrics… a 12 year old could’ve written that… blah! I’m disappointed.
I don’t think they have their true fan base from the 1st album anymore. Motivation proclamation will always be my favorite song. Benji still looks gorgeous.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
I’ve been a fan since the 1st album, and I see this song and video for what they are: Pure, simple FUN.
So disappointed.
This song is just… terrible.
Also, I’m waiting for the day when they just drop the name “Good Charlotte” and go by “The Madden Twins” considering it’s been made apparent on more than one occassion the other members of the band are not nearly as important as Benji and Joel.
Oh well, I guess good things can’t last forever =(
I just found out(rather late) that one of my favorite artists(Miyavi) did a collaboration with Good Charlotte for this song(Though it was just his guitar) So, I thought I’d share that version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpViVI6Q5dU&feature=player_embedded#!
