Jennifer Lopez, La Diva Latina herself who is rumored to be one of the new judges on the upcoming season of American Idol, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Glamour magazine. In her coverstory interview, J. Lo talks about the level of glam she enjoys in her life even when she’s not in front of the camera … her accompanying photospread also highlights the sexy glamor in her life featuring Jenny from the Block in sexy animal print — meow! Here is our first look at J. Lo‘s new Glamour magazine coverphoto and some excerpts from her coverstory:

Jennifer Lopez has lived through everything from dress scandals to the reviews for “Gigli,” but she doesn’t regret a minute of it. Of course, as she told Glamour magazine in their September issue, she’s had some “ups and downs” like everyone else, including “super highs and some really low lows.” But she added, “I’ve been so blessed that I could never say, ‘I wish this didn’t happen.’ It’s part of who I am. There’s nothing in my life that’s so ‘ugh.’” Of course, there are some memories that may make her cringe, “but not where I’m worried about [Max and Emme] finding out,” she said. “I’ll tell them myself. No secrets from them.” Lopez, 41, had twins Max and Emme in 2008 with husband Marc Anthony, whom she married in 2004. Anthony, she said, is “a passionate person, and he’s the same way with his kids, and I love it. When it comes to all his kids, he’s mush, whatever they want.” He’s probably mush when it comes to what Lopez wants as well – the actress said she doesn’t slack off in the glamour department just because she happens to be at home. “I like to maintain a certain sense of fantasy in my life,” Lopez said, adding that yes, she is a bit like the high-fashion photo shoots readers see in magazines. “Do I have the full hair and makeup? No. But I might have the nice dress on.” It’s all about maintaining a certain state of mind, Lopez told Glamour – and the same theory applies to how to handle feelings of doubt. “If you feel in your mind you can do it, you can do it. You cannot doubt yourself. Doubt is a killer,” she said. ” You just have to know who you are and what you stand for. You can have a great mentor, a great partner, a great love in your life who gives you confidence and makes you feel great about yourself. And that’s all wonderful, but at the end of the day, if you don’t believe it, all of that means nothing.” Well, we guess we know how she feels about her qualifications to be an “Idol” judge…
Glamour got really lucky with the timing of this magazine cover, now that everyone is buzzing about the rumor that J. Lo will join American Idol as a judge, there is a lot of interest to read anything Lopez-related. I still contend that J. Lo on Idol will be a good fit … she’s just as qualified to judge the competition as Paula Abdul was and I’m certain she’ll be more lucid. But, Fox has made NO official announcement about the new judges on AI so we’re still not 100% sure that J. Lo will be on the show … what we do know is that she looks fantastic in her Glamour photospread. After the jump, check out a few photos of J. Lo in the September issue of Glamour …

I’m not usually a fan of animal print but it kinda works well in this spread. I love the photo of J. Lo reclined on the couch while reading Valley of the Dolls. Jennifer Lopez does the retro look very well, this shoot is very cool. So, while we wait to find out if Jenny will be judging American Idol, I guess we can bizzy ourselves with her spread in Glamour mag. You can read the online portion of her interview HERE.

if theres one thing Jenny knows how to do, is work a photoshoot. i love these pics.
She looks great! Also, I liked Gigli! I know it was trashtastic but that is what is appealing to me about it!! Whenever it is on (which is pretty rare) I will totally watch it!
Love th pictures…she looks great in the glasses, so cute
She is sooooooooooooooo irrelevant it hurts my eyes. AI will be the only thing to save what little career she has left. I’m not even kidding, either. It’s 100% true.
Who wants to see a common lip-syncer and auto-tuned singer like JLO having the nerve to judge real vocal talent. She’s done nothing to deserve or earn the right to judge people who are singing in their REAL voice. So she had a musical career for 5 years tops, that’s it and she lip-synced her way through that one. Milli Vanilli would just as qualified to judge AI as she would.
I love love love her! This was an awesome interview! So genuine and sweet.
she is just sexiiiiii
n to all ya haters who have nothing else to do then hate buzz off n stop actin like ur perfect!!!! everyone is so quick to judge n shit
