Lindsay Lohan Behaves In Jail, Does ‘Complex’ Magazine & Posts Her Last Tweets

L. Lo Jail Watch: Day 01

Yesterday morning Lindsay Lohan obediently turned herself in to the court so that she could begin serving her 90 day jail sentence (which, it is being reported, is believed to be whittled down to 13-15 days of actual jailtime) but amidst all the hoopla surrounding her surrender to the court, a couple of other things were going on as well. Lindsay, who will NOT be allowed to have access to a mobile phone, a computer or any other electronic device that would keep her connected to the outside world, posted her last tweets on her official Twitter account the night before she was due to surrender and begin her jail sentence. A couple of tweets were directed at her estranged and former jailbird father Michael Lohan:

And, because homegirl has got to earn some money while she’s cooling her heels in the big house, one of her last tweets was a sponsored advertisement:

She also posted some nonsense about being unfamiliar with the “booking” process, despite the fact that she was booked and mugshotted back in 2007 when she got arrested and thrown in jail the first time around. Her final tweet was a Re-Tweet of a post by Ian Somerhalder asking for help about the oil spill. I’m not sure how we will survive without having access to her daily tweet missives but I guess we’re gonna hafta find a way.

Additionally, Lindsay will spend her time in jail as a magazine covermodel. As you may recall, last week we got our first look at Lindsay on the cover of German GQ magazine. Today we get to see that, here in the US, Lindsay is featured on the cover of the new issue of Complex magazine. After the jump, check out her latest magazine cover …

Lohandemonium. That’s what it’s been like in the Complex office for the past few months, after getting the chance to shoot a cover story with one of our favorite actresses. Lindsay Lohan has had a crazy couple of years months, and we found ourselves at the center of her personal drama after our August/September cover shoot ended up in the tabloids back in May. Fast forward a couple of manic months, and her legal woes are coming to a head (LL reports to prison tomorrow), so we consider ourselves lucky to be able to present this super-sexy photoshoot just to remind everyone of just how bad (meaning good!) Lindsay is. Featuring art by none other than KAWS, the story kicks off our 2010 Style & Design Issue in ultimate Complex style. Unfortunately, Lindsay got caught up in the madness—Cannes, court, and conviction—before we had a chance to interview her, so we instead used the cover story to ask the question everyone’s forgetting: what’s it like to be LiLo right now? For all the hand-wringing and schadenfreude everyone seems to love indulging in, this is still a human being, and one who’s contending with a world that clearly wants her to fail. Not us, though—if it were our call, all she’d do is win. We got your back, Linds!

If you are interested, you can read the interview-less Complex coverstory HERE. At least Lindsay can rest in the comfort of knowing that she can score magazine covers even thru all of her legal woes … well, you know, magazines that are not tabloid mags.

TMZ, who is all over Lindsay‘s life behind bars, is reporting that thus far, L. Lo has been a model inmate in jail. She’s been cooperating with her jailers and has overall been playing well with others. Additionally, they report that Lindsay will be scoring some of her beloved prescription drugs while she serves out her jailtime:

Lindsay Lohan is actually handling jail well, sources at Lynwood tell TMZ. We’re told she’s “polite, compliant and responsive.”  She’s not crying and is handling it well. And there’s good news for the newly-minted jailbird.  A Sheriff’s official tells us she will probably be released around August 1, after serving only 13 or 14 days.   A lot better — for her — than 23 days behind bars and, even worse, without cigarettes.

TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan has found a friendly pharmacist to fill her prescriptions in the pokey. Sources connected with the Lynwood Correctional Facility tell TMZ … Lindsay’s prescriptions were being processed yesterday and she will be allowed to take several drugs, including Adderall, a psychostimulant used to treat ADHD.  She also has a prescription for Ambien. It’s pretty ironic … friends of Lindsay, and Michael Lohan, tell TMZ it’s the prescriptions that have gotten her into this mess in the first place.  Nevertheless, doctors say the meds are justified and Lindsay will get her daily dose.

And there you have it folks, one day down and about 12-14 more to go. I’m pretty sure Lindsay will have access to electronics when she enters her 90 day rehab program … I wonder what her first tweet back will be. I don’t believe she’ll be able to do any magazine photoshoots in rehab but I’m certain it won’t be long until Lindsay scores another magazine cover. With access to her allotment of prescription meds in jail and the ability to watch hours of I Love Lucy, it sounds like Lindsay‘s time in jail will be a breeze. Will this be enough to save her life? I’m gonna be cautiously optimistic and say … hopefully.

Can’t we take a break from the LLO while she is in jail?? I am so over this girl and her BS!

  2. CHASE

Why do they always take mugshots at such a high angle? I kind of don’t get it…

I highly doubt that jail will reform her. I highly doubt the “sober living” will help her either, I mean you’re not really sober if you are taking a bunch of prescription drugs… But who knows she is either going to change for the better or die at some point from her stupidity. Hopefully not the latter.

…regarding the booking process, she probably doesn’t remember much from back in 2007, since whatever trouble she may be in now, it’s nowhere near as bad as it was then.

I remember thinking at the time that she might not live another year.

What is the point in giving an obvious addict more medications that are addictive? And then being completely shocked when she can’t manage to stay sober?
