Last month we learned that filming production for Transformers 3 got underway in Los Angeles, CA and earlier this month we got to see a few photos of star Shia LaBeouf filming his first scenes with Transformers newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Today we learn that filming has moved to the Midwest windy city of Chicago, IL … a town that has been made to look like a disaster area:
Josh Duhamel has joined the set of the new Transformers movie and the 37-year old actor got stuck right in shooting one of his many action sequences. Wearing an all black military uniform and toting a large machine gun the handsome star looked every bit the action hero as he reprises his role of Major Lennox. The star filmed on the set in a closed of part of central Chicago which has been made to look completely destroyed with overturned burnt out cars and piles of rubble. At one point he waved at waiting fans in-between takes.
If the photo above is any indication, it would appear that Transformers 3 is shaping up to be a big budget Summer blockbuster. As much as I loved the first film, I HATED the second film. I am seriously hoping that Jerry Bruckheimer gets it right this time and makes me love this third movie. At this point, all the action looks very much the same as it did in the previous movies. Shia runs thru rubble again (only this time, he’s running hand in hand with Rosie rather than Megan Fox). Tyrese and Josh are on hand to help the Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons … we all know the song and dance. I just PRAY they get it right this time. The Transformers franchise means a lot to me, they made up a huge part of my childhood. I don’t think my frail little heart can take another shitty movie like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Please get it right, you guys.

What time are they filming on Sunday July 18th?
I was just downtown this morning and they were setting up the shots and setting boats on fire under the Michigan Ave bridge so I think they’re filming all day. All we saw was piles of fake rubble, wrecked cars and Bumblebee hiding under a tarp … which was cool enough for us.
Can anybody confirm a report i read on some website that they’ll be filming around N. Lincoln Ave?

I’m in Chicago now and they are currently filmingon wacker near the wabash street bridge. There have been some minor explosions and you can see some action…worth checking out if you are in the area!
HEY, PROPATAINMENT INDUSTRY TROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERBODY KNOWS this junk is an insurance movie at the very BEST it will EVER be. And, SERIOUSLY, who is THAT? They hired an unemployed, unemployable third-world “fashion model” to star in it??? WHAT???!!! HA HA HA HA This whole movie smells of box office DISASTER and EVERYONE knows it. BOMB.
