The new Christopher Nolan film Inception, which stars half of Hollywood and is meant to tide us over until Nolan tackles the next Batman film due to be released in 2012, will not open in theaters until July 19 but right now we get to watch an entire 5 minutes of the film! Isn’t that exciting? Well, not really but if you’re chomping at the bit for any bit of Inception info leading up to the film’s release next week then here you go:

Christopher Nolan’s Inception may not come out in theaters for another week, but it’s already gotten great reviews, and its mysterious plot has generated plenty of buzz. Now you can see some of the film yourself thanks to a five minute segment of clips courtesy of Adictoalfilm … Inception opens July 16th. Get details on its viral campaign at the Inception Viral Page.
To be honest, I’m not really sure what the hell this movie is about … but considering that it is a Christopher Nolan film, I’ll be seeing it for sure. The only drawback for me is that Leonardo DiCaprio is the star and I’m not a huge fan of his. But, I will be seeing this movie nonetheless. After all, this 5 minute clip looks pretty damn good. Check it out in full, after the jump …
Sooooo … what do y’all think? Are you intrigued enough by this clip to check out the movie?

I dunno. This movie looks cool and trippy, but it kind of looks like one of those movies that won’t make sense until the very end, you know? And Leonardo is showing his age big time…
Interesting, but not a must see now- maybe a rental- that way you can rewind any confusing parts. I agree about Leo D- he’s hard to take for 2+ straight hours- another reason to watch on dvd- you can pause when you need a break fr him or anything else!
Why don’t you like DiCaprio, Trent? (i’m not instigating, i’m just curious) I rarely find myself rushing out to buy tickets to one of his films, but whenever i catch one on tv or something i’m reminded of what a good actor he is. (The Departed, Revolutionary Road, Gilbert Grape…)
And, Chase, what’s wrong with ‘showing age’ as long as you’re not still trying to play a high school student? Hollywood is agist enough already, no need to perpetuate.
i’m excited for Inception. Christopher Nolan doesn’t disappoint and there are several great actors in this one. It’s one of the few i’ll make a point of seeing in the theaters.
definitely seeing it – hopefully this weekend. We need more thought provoking, “confusing” films instead of pablum.
might be good might not.not sure.i am not a fan of leo but i think it will be like a very puzzling movie.
Love,
i will definitely see this one, these two being in the same film is a pretty good bet for an amazing movie, haha. i’m excited!!!!!!!!
His back & forth storytelling reminds me of what lindsay lohan’s brain must be like ;)
Inception looks amazing. Every pre-release review has given it 4-5 stars. It’s supposed to be his masterpiece.
And as a film enthusiast Im excited for a big budget hollywood movie that actually makes you think or that isnt a sequel!
@kana: agree with you. don’t rush out to watch his movies but when i do watch them, i too am reminded of what a good actor he is. he was really great in the departed, gilbert grape, etc. will definitely watch the inception!!
Cant wait to see this movie!!
Lol I’m going to sound like a huge snob but the fact that there are actually people who are hesitant about seeing the film itself is baffling. I mean seriously what do you want to see then??? Give yourself a chance people, you’re smarter than what the movies at the box office give you credit for.
I don’t go to the movies much anymore, but I cannot WAIT for this to come out! I will definitely spend the $12 or whatever ridiculous amount it costs these days. haha. leo dicaprio can do no wrong, he is a phenomenal actor. and christopher nolan has made some of my favorite films of the past few years (memento, the prestige, dark knight). win! and as an added bonus, I can get a JGL fix too. :)
When I first heard about this movie a couple of months ago there was something about it that intrigued me but I wasn’t exactly sure what it was, but then again that’s the whole point of the movie isn’t it? Now that I’ve seen this clip my excitement for this movie has risen expediently! I don’t usually see Leo movies cause they tend to be to dark or historical (and I’m a self proclaimed “chick flick” lover for the most part) but I’m getting my butt to the theater ASAP!
I love me some JGL! :) Can’t wait to see this! Leo, JGL, and Ellen Page have all made very wise decisions in the films they’ve taken on as adults, so I think this movie will blow all our minds and be the talk of the country for the next few weeks. I. Can’t. Effing. Wait. :)
Chase: Memento was also a movie that really didn’t make sense until the very end, and that was awesome. So I have high hopes for this. It’s good to go to a movie and have to *think* about what’s going on, instead of leaving your brain at home and watching Michael Bay blow up half the universe.
Why aren’t you a fan of Leo, Trent? I guess you’re not a fan of great acting then? Maybe he’s just not pretty enough for you, you do seem to have a weakness for the hotties of Hollywood :p
I’m so excited for this movie that I don’t want to see the first 5 minutes! :-) Don’t want to spoil it. I studied psych in school so that’s what’s peaking my interest with this film (and my boyfriend is a fan of Leo).
Happy Birthday Trent! Yay July babies :-) Mine’s on Saturday ;-)
My big bro is an extra in this movie!
It looks AWESOME.
