‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ Releases A New Video Trailer

"Why do you live?"

Yesterday we got to see a few promo photos from the upcoming first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and I mentioned that Warner Bros. would be releasing a new video trailer for the film last night. Today, we get our first look at the new trailer (the second after the first teaser trailer was released last December) for Deathly Hallows … here are a few screencaps:

The end is almost near for the “Harry Potter” movies as the trailer for the final installment of the series has hit the web. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” will not only mark as the end of a saga, but will also bring an end to the long-awaited final confrontation between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. In a scene from the trailer, The Dark Lord, played by , grabs the face of Harry and quietly asks, “Why do you live?” Harry proudly replies, “Because I have something worth living for.” Soon after, the two opposites battle it out in an intense wand fight and Voldemort offers the final words of the trailer: “Only I can live forever.” The film will be released in two parts, with the first installment slated for a November 19 release. Part two will arrive in theaters July 15, 2011.

The end is nearly nigh, y’all — after the jump, check out the trailer and see how it will all end in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I think it’s safe to say that this trailer is truly epic … we don’t get to see very much but you can tell, the action will be significant. As we are ALL very well aware, Part 1 of the film will hit theaters in November while Part 2 will be released in July 2011. Are you excited? Are you sad? Are you, like me, wanting to see more?

I just got goosebumps! I cannot wait. I have read these books numberous times and have had to replace several in my set from wear and tear. I think that I am more excited to see these movies than any kids I know! These looks like they are going to be the best so far!

  14. Katrin Sedai

@Britney: Omg I had goosebumps too! I don’t know how I will feel when I get out of the movie theater July 2011… When everything will be over. I basically grew up with the actors (same age), with the books, and now something that has been with me for so many years is about to end. NO! :’(

  15. Tori

so i think im going to re-read the books yet another time before the movie comes out!!! sooooo exciting!!!

  16. Irma

@Tori I reread the 6th book before the last movie and all it did was make me mad because everything was so fresh and I couldn’t help but compare book and movie. Maybe read it a few weeks before?

  17. Tracy

OMG!!! I’m so excited. I’m all of the above. I’m excited, happy, sad, and I want more. I love the HP series. I’m going to need to take some time off of work when the last one comes out.

  18. taikwan

Wow what a journey – don’t want it to end but then, I didn’t want the kids to grow up either.

Those responsible for the films always do everything with class and the best of everything: trailers, editing, music, CGI = really does the job of wanting you to see it NOW.

  19. cant wait to see it in 3d for both parts

  20. Aislin

    Bring on November!

  21. Meagan

I cried just watching it! I DO NOT want this franchise to end. I wholeheartedly agree that this will be the most epic finale of an entire generation. Ugh… I do not want November to roll around just yet, I’m not ready to lose Harry Potter!
