Wee!! At last, my shiny beautiful new iPhone 4 arrived! I’ve been so preoccupied with my new toy that I’ve had a hard time focusing on anything else. But at last … the FedEx Santa Claus knocked on my door and delivered my new baby:

I’ve been spending way too much time playing with, setting up and outright marveling at this glorious piece of technological beauty. I’ll need to play with it and use it for a few days before I can write up a full review but my right-out-of-the-box first impression is — WOW! The screen, wait ’til you see the screen resolution … it will blow you away. I’m curious about the battery life so … stay tuned for my full remarks on the new iPhone 4.

Tonight, David and I will be trekking to the ArcLight Theater in Pasadena, CA to see a screening of the amazing 1995 film Clueless:

My close friends know that the ’95 films Clueless, Empire Records and The Craft have all had a profound impact on me … if you get those films, you get me. I’ve not seen any of these films in the theater since they were released in ’95 so I am very excited to see one of my fave films on the Big Screen again. So excited … about the phone and the movie. Today is going to be a really great day :D

Did you order from AT&T and do you happen to know if you have to sign for it? Mine is also set to arrive and I don’t know if I can get home in time!! Thanks!

  2. debho

I absolutely LOVE Empire Records. It’s a true gem. Clueless is pretty special too. However, never was a big fan of the Craft…not really what I’m into.

  3. Jstar

I have Clueless on VHS!!!! Love that movie!!

  4. Clueless is the best movie in the world so no wonder I love reading PITNB so much. I just re-watched it the other day and it was still full of awesome (though sad because Britney Murphy was so adorable in it). Have fun tonight!

  5. Margie

    “You’re just a virgin who can’t drive.”

    “It’s Rex Manning Day!!!!”

Seriously, I love all of those movies. 1995 was a great year, I graduated HS and it was on.

  6. Mr. Gyllenhaal

I love all three of them but the Craft is probably one of my top 2 movies of all time. I watch it at least once a week and I always tell my friends if they have a problem we can call the corners. Everyone makes fun of me but whatever!

    • @Mr. Gyllenhaal — OMG, I want to call the corners with you! See, I’m not surprised to hear that some of my fave commentators love the movies I love … it’s why we all get along so well :D

  7. Lisa.

I have seen Clueless way too many times to be healthy, but I still love it.

  8. mandi

It’s Rex Manning Day!! Gah, I love that movie. Empire Records is easily in my top 5 movies of all time.

Me and my friend used to watch clueless every time we had a sleepover, we knew the dialogue, but it was just the ultimate girly night film!
I also remember trying ‘light as a feather, stiff as a board’ with my friends. Didn’t work though ;)

  10. Dani

I LOVE Empire Records!! It’s still one of my favorite movies ever. I had such a crush on AJ ;)

I actually just watched Clueless this morning. It was on one of the movie channels and I got sucked in. I remember going to see that when we had a camp sleepover in 7th grade. Oh, the memories…

  11. katherine

OMG, I LOVE those three movies, with the Craft being one of my top 2 – and I have to admit, Hackers may beat it out though (old-school Angelina) :)

  12. Wow! Everytime I see Clueless on HBO I never pass on watching it and I never get tired of it. and by golly, I miss Empire Records.

  13. Z

I was just thinking about “Clueless” today! Of course I’m reading “Emma” so I guess that makes sense… How sad is it when you’re reading a Jane Austen novel and to understand all the characters you have to think, “Ok, who were they in ‘Clueless’?” ;) I love the Craft too but I think I saw “Empire Records” too late for it to affect me the same way as the other two movies. Margie, I graduated in ’95 too. *sigh* Those were the good ol’ days! :)

  14. ashlou

All 3 of those movies speak to me!!! Have fun tonight!!!

  15. Val 2.0

We mustn’t dwell… no, not today. We CAN’T. Not on Rex Manning day.

  16. CJ

@Trent. I got my iphone 4 in today as well. It really is a beauty! I haven’t put it down since it arrived by FedEx. I ordered a bumper for mine because I am scared I will drop it and crack the screen like I did my previous iPhone! Enjoy yours to the fullest! :)

  17. Jess

Love all three movies too, but Empire Records is my fave of all time. ALL TIME. :) Looking forward to a ‘real person’s review on the new iPhone…! :P

  18. Ali

I am so glad there are more people out their like me who LOVE these movies!

  19. Mr,.Gyllenhaal

Trent anytime you ready let me know but with one condition I want to be Mother and Earth!

  20. Juxterjinx

You basically just rattled off my middle school / high school movies… Neve, Alicia, Liv; I miss those girls!
