Jake Gyllenhaal Roots For The Celtics Courtside In Boston

On Friday we learned that Jake Gyllenhaal, who stars in the upcoming action film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (due out in theaters next Friday May 28), made a surprise appearance at a fan screening of his new film in SoCal last week but he was spotted in Boston, MA sitting courtside at last night’s NBA Eastern Conference Championship game featuring the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic. Here are a few photos of our dear Jakey poo lookin’ his Jakey-adorable best last night:

Despite the fact that he is seen chattin’ up one of the players from the Orlando Magic team, Jake made it very clear that he was rootin’ for the Boston Celtics to win the Eastern Conference Championship so that they can face the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals next month. After the jump, check out a short video interview that Jake did with ESPN where he talked a little bit about where his basketball loyalties lie …

HMMM … is he really a Boston fan or an LA fan … I guess we won’t know until the teams face off in the NBA Finals (it’s lookin’ very much like Boston will surely make it to the finals, they beat Orlando by a score of 94-71 last night). No matter where his loyalties lie, I’ll still be a huge fan of Team Jake! Woot!!
