Earlier this month we learned that Precious star Gabourey Sidibe would be hosting an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live and today we get to see the promo videos promoting her hosting gig for this Saturday’s episode. Gabourey teams up with Andy Samberg for these promos, which you can watch below:
Okay, seriously, I literally laughed out loud 3 times watching these promos. I just KNOW Gabby is gonna KILL this ep. She may have played a very serious role in Precious but something tells me that she can do comedy. I guess we’ll find out for sure this Saturday night … but if these promos are any indication, promos — might I add — that are funnier than whole previous episodes of SNL this season, then hers will be one of SNL best episodes of the year. I’m not a fan of Andy Samberg, but this was pretty hilar! I’ll definitely have to tune in OR watch it when you post em on here. Also, the musical guest is MGMT which I just discovered not that long ago and I absolutely love them!!!
Ack I can’t watch the promos, so I can’t comment on that. But I do think she will be able to pull off comedy, and be good at it. I watched a few interviews she had done, and she has such a bubbly personality, and seems to have a good sense of humor too. I can’t wait to see her on snl. I’m sure it will be good!
they are perfect comedy duo…I don’t think I have laughed so unforced so loud in such a long time..I’m so excited for this!

my hopes arent too high for lots of laughs..cause well…we’ve seen where this season has gone so far…but this promo was good…so im keepin my fingers crossed.

oh my god she is ADORABLE! I too am not holding too much hope for the episode but I will be checking for highlights of this. and yes they better put those two in sketches together, instant magic and funny with them.
She is SO gonna get the giggles in at least one sketch. That alone is worth watching for. I love watching people lose it on that show.
She was hilarious when she was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel so I have no doubt she is going to kill it.
