‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ Releases A Final Movie Trailer

"Don't. Fall. Asleep."

Earlier this week we got our first look at the newest movie poster for the new remake of the 80′s classic horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street and today we get our first look at the final trailer to be released before the film opens in April. Here are a few screencaps from the just released trailer:

Twilight/Calvin Klein Underwear/PETA star Kellan Lutz is featured in this trailer and, I’m thinkin’ he ain’t gonna get outta this one alive. Last September, we got to see the first teaser trailer for Nightmare and, I’m happy to report, this trailer looks much better. Check it out in full after the jump …

Yes, this trailer looks MUCH better. I’m still trying to get used to Freddy Krueger‘s new face (which looks like a plastic surgery operation gone wrong) but overall … I’m intrigued. April 30 will be here in no time … and then we’ll find out of this new Freddy is really the stuff nightmares are made of. What do y’all think of this trailer … scary?

woohoo! I can’t wait for this to come out. Freddy used to terrify me when I was a kid, but now he’s one of my all time favorite villians. Even though in the original he didn’t crack any jokes, I wonder if he’ll do it in this one?

    wooohooo it looks good.
can’t wait. nightmare on elm street has always been some of my fav movies, hope he can pull off freddy.

  3. Laura

It looks like a combo of all the originals! But you are right, what is with his face?? They should have gotten Robert Englund to reprise his role…I mean does it really matter how old he is if he’ll have all that makeup on anyway?

hmm interesting. It does look like it will be pretty good, but then they might be doing the whole ‘show all the good scenes in the commercial’ thing like most movies do. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Oh and, I think it’s a given with any horror movie that the hot-jockish guy will be one of the first ones to go.

    SO EXCITED

  6. Kendra

I’m a big puss when it comes to horror movies, but I might have to put on my diapers and head to see this one! It looks so good! I love the Elm Street movies of yesteryear and I hope this one does them justice!

  7. Mr. Gyllenhaal

This does look better but why didn’t they say it was another Freddy instead of remaking the first one?? I don’t get it! I agree, his face looks weird!! I am more excited now!

  8. Jennifer

His voice sounds like Christian Bale’s Batman, but other than that it looks freaky :-)

  9. IM SO EXCITED! Freddy is my all time favorite villain!

I still have faith that Jackie Earle Haley will make Robert Englund proud. And I love them both, for the record. I think that had they cast anyone else I would have probably skipped this one, but Haley is haunting (to say the least) in the roles he takes on. Heh, BAD NEWS BEARS and BREAKING AWAY being the exceptions!

It’s going to be bad… Just remember, a bad movie can always have an intriguing trailer.

Looks absolutely awful! The original is perfectly fine as it is why have a remake? Pure Hollywood laziness. Death to Michael Bay etc, they keep ruining the classic horrors. It’s pathetic how people still flock to this crap, just like people still flock to SAW 2million and Final Destination 800! Why can’t the industry have new ideas and why can’t audiences stop wasting their money on remakes. Please please just watch the originals!

This looks awesome! Can’t wait for it to come out!!

Gaah, it looks awful. I’m a huge Elm Street fan and I was mildy skeptical when I heard about the remake, but open minded. Perhaps a reimagining a la Zombie’s ‘Halloween’? An origin type story maybe? Nope, instead I get this piece of teen trash that directly “remakes” exact scenes from the original. Booooring. I wonder if a Depp look-a-like gets sucked into his bed.

Part of Freddy’s appeal was that he was a funny son of a bitch that would claw your face off. Now he looks like another run of the mill horror villian. /cry

does anyone else see a similarity between mickey rourke and freddy?

  16. Daymo

With this trailer I have become quite the eager beaver for this movie. I have been a big Freddy fan since it’s inception (the original had me stay awake because I was scared Freddy would get me) and feel Jackie will do the role some justice. I am a little skeptical about the writers/producers of this movie after the Friday the 13th debacle hoping that nightmare of a movie will not transfer to this new nightmare. Trent you rock and MEGA harts to Pink!

It’s film-making at its worst! Don’t watch it people! Save your money!
