Once upon a time, Claire Danes (who played Angela Chase) and Jared Leto (who played Jordan Catalano) co-starred on a ill-fated TV series called My So-Called Life which managed to strike a cord with viewers with its stark and honest portrayal of teen angst despite the fact that the show only lasted for one season. All these years after the show ended it’s run, Danes and Leto ran into each other again in London this week at the Elle Style Awards. Here are photos of Claire and Jared back when they were on My So-Called Life together and then at the Elle Style Awards this week:
I LOVE these two together … I am one of the legions of So-Called Life fans that still fondly remember the show. I didn’t watch it when it aired on ABC but became a fan when it ran in re-runs on MTV shortly after the show was canceled. My So-Called Life was the show that introduced the world to Jared Leto … and I dare you find a So-Called fan who wasn’t in love with Jordan Catalano. They both sure look different all these years later … but I think they still make a perfect match :)

Ohhhh…the good ol’ days before JL went off the reservation. I, along with all my friends LOVED, no OBSESSED over this show and was so sad when it was cancelled. We actually started a petition to try to save it…lol. It really did capture the angst of crushing on that hot boy in your English class…and yes – we were all in love with Jordan. Still am when I think about it! And who can forget Ricky? One of the first gay besties on TV! You are right – they do still look good together.
Loved that show…..i remember being seriously devastated when i heard it was ending, lmao. Gonna break out the DVDs!

Thank the t.v. Gods for introducing Jared Leto into every teen girls heart. That show still rocks a nerve with me, and Jordan Catalano’s grungy band attitude… I still love in my men.

Oh, how I wish he still looked like Jordan Catalano. I will never forget the first time I saw the ep. where he saing “I Wanna Be Sedated”. I believe that was my first experience with lust, lol
That was such a great show and I fell in love with Jared Leto then. He was/is so freakin hot! Time to break out the DVDs for a little reminiscing.
love her! took a yoga class with claire at OM Yoga in NYC last year – actually did some partner yoga work with her too! she was so gracious and “normal” – changing in the lady’s locker room with her and she was so cool talking to all of us about her friend’s pregnancy…she was a nice lady! wish her well.
I never got hooked by My So Called Life (only caught a few episodes), and I was still in love with Jordan Catalano!

I love the expressions on their faces – like they are truly excited to see eachother again. MSCL was the best show ever. Everyone wishes they had a Jordan Catalano in their life. The makeout episode? Hello?!?!? That was every high school girls dream in the 90′s. Love them together, then and now! Great pic.
Even though my sisters were obsessed with it in the 90′s I never bothered to watch it until LAST YEAR! I was absolutely blown away by how good it still was a decade later….”it is the way he *leans*” :)

I was so sad when this show was cancelled. I was in middle school and had pictures of Jared plastered all over my wall. I was so disappointed when he disappeared and then came back w/ the whole goth phase that he went through.

Is it just me or does Jared Leto look like Jake Gyllenhaal in the recent picture? I mean, he doesn’t usually, but in profile, in this picture… and I still miss My So-Called Life.
in 9th grade I dyed my hair red like hers. I took some heat from my mom for that one…oh memories.
Oh man, I have such fond memories of that show! I used to make sure I was home every week to watch it. None of my friends were into it when it first came out, (but they fell in love later on) but my little 7th grade heart beat for Jordan Catalano :)
