The singular reason I will be seeing 'Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel'
Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel doesn’t open in theaters until December 23 but I’m already counting down the seconds ’til its release. Now, I must clarify that I had ZERO interest in seeing the first Alvin & the Chipmunks movie but I was a fan of the little guys when I was a kid. But, because the sequel film, er, the squeakquel features The Chipettes performing Beyoncé‘s hit song Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), well, I’m seeing this movie damnit:
OMG, cute right?! Yeah, I know … I’m kinda ashamed but … well, not all cinema has to be Oscar worthy. I’m going to see this movie! Who’s with me?

I hate how Hollywood recycle their film projects from awesome cartoons, tv shows and movies, to a trashy newer version… I wish single ladies would just go away already, but you know its reached mass burnout when they trickle it down into kids films
I agree the song has been beaten to a pulp but it’s adorable with them performing it. I saw the first one and honestly I did like it. It’s one I wouldn’t mind seeing more times.

OH MY GOD I am sooooo excited for this movie, I watched Alvin and the Chipmunks when I was little and I loved the Chipettes so I am just like counting down the days
As someone who LOVED The Chipmunk Adventure and the Chipmunk Christmas albums, I couldn’t bring myself to watch the new Chipmunk movie- it just looked awful. But the Chipettes? If they’re heavily featured, I might be using the 2 and 3 yr olds in my family as an excuse to go watch!!!
does it bother anyone else the way these Chipettes are dressed, shaking their thangs and in essence, being tiny commercial whores?
if this is what kids movies are coming to, imagine what those teenagers are gonna get up to…
I have always loved the chipettes, my 2 year old loved the 1st movie and i think my hubby and i are going to take him to see this when it comes to the cheap shows
