The singular reason I will be seeing 'Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel'
Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel doesn’t open in theaters until December 23 but I’m already counting down the seconds ’til its release. Now, I must clarify that I had ZERO interest in seeing the first Alvin & the Chipmunks movie but I was a fan of the little guys when I was a kid. But, because the sequel film, er, the squeakquel features The Chipettes performing Beyoncé‘s hit song Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), well, I’m seeing this movie damnit:
OMG, cute right?! Yeah, I know … I’m kinda ashamed but … well, not all cinema has to be Oscar worthy. I’m going to see this movie! Who’s with me?

I love the first movie! I used to watch the cartoon all the time growing up too, so I was excited when the movie came out. lol
I prefer the Chipettes to the Chipmunks. The Chipmunk Adventure is one of the best animated films ever, in my opinion. I liked the first one, but I’m dying to see the squeakquel. Eeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh. When I saw the commercial for this, I just looked down and shook my head. I guess its cute for little kids, but I think its just plain stupid. Not my style at all.

I used to LOVE the cartoon when I was younger..I never saw the first movie..It kinda freaked me out..I LOVE the Chipettes, but most likely won’t be seeing this in the theater..I have a limited supply of cash and can’t waste it on something that might just be kind of fun.. :(

For a really fun kids movie you need to see The Princess and the Frog. That movie was amazing.
i cant wait for this movie! my inner child loved the first one (i had thier christmas song stuck in my head for days) and my inner child is super geeked yet again.
That clip was cute, but those voices would send me screaming out the movie theater. I admire those of you that can withstand those voices, but not me.
trent, i know what you’re saying loved the cartoon as a kid took my son to the 1st when it came out and when i saw brittney on the preview i wanted to scream i was so excited!!!! we’ll be seeing the 2nd for sure!

I thought it was cute! It wasn’t intended to be deep and meaningful, just fun. I was actually surprised by how much vocal texture she had. She purred and growled quite a bit. Made me interested to hear what the real voice behind the effects sounds like…
