Of the 3 music videos released from this new album, this track is the most up-beat … and yet, it still is not a club banger. It occurs to me that all the yeah yeah yeahs in the track hearken back to the ella ella ellas in her biggest hit song Umbrella … like she was trying to score another massive hit song. As much as I do like Hard, it’s really not on par with the awesomeness of Umbrella. That said, the music video is pretty kick ass. After the jump, check it out in full …
I’m sure Rihanna‘s detractors will have many negative things to say about this video but I like it. It’s fun, sexy and apropos for the lyrics. This is the song I want to hear remixed into a club jam … the song just needs to be kicked into gear with a faster beat. What do y’all think, do we like Rihanna‘s video for Hard?

I love the video…I think this song is probably the catchiest on the album too. The album is really good….Every time I listen to it, I find myself liking it more and more.
I don’t know…it’s only 2 bpm slower than Hypnotize by B.I.G… I guess it depends. I think that it could be remixed a bit for a club atmosphere. I love this song. The video is some craziness, but I’ve just got so much love for this new album of RiRi’s. I was never a huge fan of her before, but this album is wicked.

I like this song although I’m already getting sick of it. The video is okay, she looks super hot – I guess she wants to support the war and try to make it sexy!
I don’t like the gun use though. Guns are not cool and they are not toys, having her use one isn’t really cool in my books as it implies that she supports the use of guns.

im over this whole need too act “hard” (no pun intended) she comes off as fake & trying to much.
and IMHO – shes turned into another lack of talent industry slut and to that i say…..NEXT.
I like it, but it almost seems like they ran out of footage around the end and kept using the same shots over and over again. Other than that it’s pretty good! Such a disappointing CD though :(
