Tiger Woods’s Mother-In-Law Confirmed Hospitalized
Earlier today we learned that a “middle-aged blond woman” was rushed to the hospital from Tiger Woods’s Florida home in the wee hours last night after an ambulance was dispatched to respond to a 911 call. It has since been confirmed that this woman is, in fact, Barbro Holmberg — mother of Tiger’s wife Elin Nordegren:
The woman rushed to a hospital from Tiger Woods’s Florida home was his mother-in-law, Barbro Holmberg, hospital spokesman Dan Yates confirmed. An ambulance took Holmberg, 57, a well-known politician in Sweden, to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla., early Tuesday morning. “Last evening Barbro Holmberg, mother of Elin Woods, was admitted to Health Central Hospital with stomach pain. She’s in stable condition and is currently undergoing evaluation,” Yates said Tuesday. “Media reports other than this attributed to this matter have been erroneous and speculative, and we ask that her privacy be respected at this time.” A family member also confirms that Holmberg is stable and is being evaluated. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department released a record of a 911 call from Woods’s house in Windermere at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday. Nordegren is one of Holmberg’s three children with her former husband, Swedish journalist Thomas Nordegren. Holmberg, a member of the Social Democratic party, served as minister of migration and asylum from 2003 to 2006.
HMMMM … a concerned mother flies overseas to attend to her daughter who is dealing with a very public cheating scandal that seems to grow exponentially by the second suddenly comes down with stomach pain and we’re to believe the two matters are not related? OK. It’s really something to know that just over a week ago Tiger Woods was seemingly living the perfect life, the perfect dream and now his “perfect life” is ground zero for an ugly scandal that shows no sign of quieting down. I imagine that Mama Holmberg is more than just sick to her stomach over this growing mess. I wonder what’s next.

This story just keeps getting better and better…the MIL just got here, was in the house for a couple of hours and now in the hospital…when will this story go away.

I am really strongly disliking Tiger right now. It is horrible to cheat on your wife, because it endangers her life (exposure to disease). But to do it with SO MANY women, and now many of them are saying he didn’t use a condom! Over 30% of heterosexual women that get AIDS are in a monogomous relationship with someone that is cheating on them. If Tiger wanted to be a bachelor all his life and go the George Clooney/Leo DiCaprio route, more power to him. But don’t marry a woman and then risk her life because you changed your mind. If you want out, get a divorce.

How can it be a ploy? Tiger’s mother in law is not even on Tiger’s side!! As for Krissy, I totally agree with what you’re saying. Tiger deserves what he’s getting…I feel so bad for his wife and kids, they were totally innocent and now they will have to live with this for the rest of their lives. Tiger is the biggest idiot alive for destroying his potentially perfect life. If his father were still alive today, he’d be so pissed!!!

A man who cheats on a pregnant wife is just the lowest of the lows to me. Poor Elin. Thankfully, her mom and sister came all the way from Sweden to lend her support. I hope her mom feels better soon. If I were Elin, I’d return to Sweden and surround myself with family and friends and get as far away from the paparazzi and Tiger as possible.

Why did he get married in the first place?
