Tiger Woods Admits Infidelity, Announces Hiatus From Professional Golf
"I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf."

And so … the latest installment of the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal is upon us. Late afternoon Friday, Woods posted an official statement on his official website first acknowledging his marital infidelity and secondly announcing that he is taking an “indefinite break” from competing in professional golf. Here is the full text of his latest statement:


I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try. I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What’s most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing. After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person. Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

In order for a person who so desperately tries to protect his privacy to release 3 official and very public statements (first one HERE, second one HERE) in the wake of a firestorm of cheating allegations, you just KNOW the shit had to hit the fan, like, Whoa! In the span of a couple of weeks, Tiger‘s assessment of this Cheating Scandal went from a mere “embarrassing situation” to “transgressions” and now to admitted “infidelity” … at least he seems to be more comfortable coming clean about what it is that is really going on. I’m not sure who he’s referring to when he thanks those who offered “compassion and concern” for him during this “difficult period” … I’d be very interested to know who these people are that feel bad for him because he got caught cheating on his wife with reportedly (and at last count) 10 different women. With this announcement, I suspect that Tiger Woods will find himself a dank hole to crawl into in the hopes that this mess will eventually go away. It remains to be seen what his wife Elin Nordegren will do with the couple’s children but I’m guessing that she will not be following faithfully behind him as he tries to hide away from the world in said dank hole. At least Tiger Woods is being more forthright about this behavior … I guess we’ll have to see what will come next from this ongoing and UNBELIEVABLY messy saga.

    I think it’s a stupid decision to leave golfing. His golf schedules were not the cause of his marital problems, his infidelity was. What’s getting out of golf going to do for his marriage? He can continue being a jerk whether he golfs or not. It doesn’t make any sense.

    You know… He is just a man. He is not a god, nor is he GOD. If he was your husband would you really want everyone in the freaking world in your business? Have we as a people sunk so low that we take pleasure in others real life problems. Let us pray that his children have been keep out of this. Are the newspapers and the television stations so desperate for ratings that they always have to spread trash? It is near Christmas time. Find something better to do!

    This is something him and his wife needs to take care of not all of us!! He is an awesome golfer. He has made a mistake. GET OVER IT!!!! It is not like any of us has never done something that we were not proud of. What if some one started spreading YOUR business in the street; what would you do?

    If his endorsers started pulling out; if I were him I would pull out the contract and see if there was something written in the contract about his sex life! If there was nothing in the contract remotely stating what he could or could not do sexually and with whom he could do it with I would sue the sponsors for every thing they had in the bank.

    We allow the television producers and directors to show all of us a lot more than what he has done and yet we sit in judgment over him. That is funny. This could be a comedy!
    A brand new freaking reality television show.

    I hope when you all get home the worst thing that you have ever done in your life is on the front page of your local newspaper and everyone is looking down their nose at you.
    And throwing it in your face.

    I understand when you are in the public eye you forgo some privacy, but to make it so you cannot even turn on a television without your name plastered all over it, what a shame. His wife and his children are already enduring this challenging time without being reminded of it over and over again. Yes, she should leave him, but why try and instill a hatred in his children as well? On a two hour drive Thursday morning I heard this story on FIVE different radio stations and on Dateline and other news outlets that night including CNN and ESPN. Our “respected” news outlets have let this story get completely out of hand by letting these mistresses steal the spotlight.

    He is an athlete. One of the greatest we will ever get to see. I don’t care if he had affairs with other women because his talent has nothing to do with his character. The public will suffer the most through this because we will see a great athlete leave too soon.

    Tiger continue to play golf – who cares how many women you slept with – you are a great golfer you do it well so why quit? As for your marriage let it go – get visitation rights – Tiger – when you were having fun with the other women – it felt good to you – don’t pretend that it was not good – stop holding your head down feeling sorry for yourself – pick yourself up you are a man – yes i would say the same if it was a woman. pick up your head- stop that wimping crying looking sad – The media are cruel people and in this world you are making to much money for a black man – so the women wanted to throw you under the bus they must be getting paid lovely. Its all about the benjamin. They are getting paid lovely for their story- Tiger keep your head up —-None of the women said that you spend your money on them. So what does that make them – FREE ASS!! LOL
