‘The Runaways’ Releases First Teaser Movie Trailer

Last Sunday we got our first look at the first movie poster from the upcoming biopic film based on the 70′s band The Runaways which, as you should know by now, stars Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Curie. Today we get our FIRST LOOK at the first teaser movie trailer for The Runaways … here are a few screencaps:
Look, I realize this clip is under a minute long but I gotta say … I’m impressed. This trailer is meant to be just a tease but in the glimpses we see of the actresses playing the parts of The Runways, you can tell that they really look like the people they are playing in the film … particularly K. Stew. She looks exactly like Joan Jett. Don’t take my word for it, check out this trailer after the jump …
It looks good, y’all. I suspect we’ll be seeing a more substantial movie trailer soon but, thus far, I’m loving what I’m seeing here. What do y’all think … impressed or notsomuch?

Hm, not so impressed and there Kristin goes with her lip-biting thing. Seriously, is she even aware she inserts that into all her characters?
I’m actually impressed, as well! This looks a lot better, in the small glimpse, than I would’ve predicted!
the lip biting thing actually fit for her Bella character. Lets hope there isnt to much of that in this one. I will def go see it looks really interesting and the girls do look like the people they portray. Hopefully it is good or christen endured having a mullet for nothing! lol
Oh my god- KStew did the lip lick/bite. I don’t think its a co-winky-dink that they featured it in the trailer. Twilight fans associate the lip thing with Bella, and the movie producers would LOVE if all Twilight fans went to go see The Runaways. Cha-ching!
It looks promising. I can’t believe how grown up Dakota Fanning is!
I think it looks frickin’ sweet. I’ve never really cared much for these girls but I’m all for improvement and they look pretty killer here.

This looks good. I really hope it is. Also, after seeing the Secret life of Bees I got really excited about Dakota Fanning and can’t wait to see her in this movie.

I can’t wait for this to come out. I hate anything Twilight, so don’t know any of Stewart’s work, but she looks great in this. And eerily like Joan Jett.
looks good to me – kstew is hot and when did dakota fanning grow up so fast? I swear the last time I saw her she was doing a red carpet with Tim Mcgraw and now she’s showing off cleavage like pam anderson! but looks good, the lip biting thing kstew does doesn’t bother me, i don’t see the “big” deal. More haters cuz she gets to kiss that scrawny british guy I guess :P
i’ll be seeing it in theatres. and as far as the lip biting thing goes…. if the directors didn’t like it. it wouldn’t be in there and she wouldn’t have gotten cast. i think she’s a great actress. if you doubt it look up a movie called speak! it will blow your mind.
the lip thing is SO distracting….and from the looks of these comments, I’m not the only one who noticed. Did Joan Jett do that? Otherwise, I’m reallly geting tired of seeing it in every single clip of Kristen Stewart. I’d prefer the vapid empty stare to that. Arg.
I’m impressed, it looks good to me so far. Kristen does look good as Joan Jett, I’m sure she put all she could into this movie, because I read in an interview that she is a big fan of Joan. Dakota has grown up fast, and I’m interested in seeing if she can pull off any role, I’m glad she always seems to take on different roles. It shows her talent as an actress

Oh and Kristen only bit her lip/licked her lips ONCE, that doesn’t mean it happens all the time through this movie as it does in Twilight. Generally when people do that it is when they are troubled/thinking. So I was just thinking, maybe she did it a lot in Twilight because Bella is always troubled or seems to be thinking about SOMETHING? I swear, the girls thoughts are always in a mess, so I think her doing that as that character helps express that one actual ‘character trait’ that Bella has.

But it doesn’t mean she will be doing it all through this movie, from the scene in this trailer, I got the impression that she-as Joan- was thinking over something(or had just made up her mind) Anyways, I’m done. Looks like a lot of good movies will be coming out in 2010. N’ I’m looking forward to it :D
