Robert Pattinson Gets Camera Shy
No "Cheese!"

Robert Pattinson, who is trying to enjoy some downtime in between the frantic craziness of promoting anything that has anything to do with The Twilight Saga franchise of films, made his way out to the Hotel Cafe here in SoCal last night to attend a Bobby Long concert … but that was pretty much all he was interested in doing ‘cuz when the paps came out to take some photos, R. Pattz was not at all interested in smiling for the cameras:


Poor Robbie. It must be really hard to be rich and famous. You’ve got all that money to worry about, all those amazing perks to sift thru and enjoy, all that insane loyal devotion from legions of fans … rough biz. Ah well, hopefully the crush of fame will ease up at some point. Sure, he still has one more movie to promote (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and one more movie to film (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, which will most assuredly go into production soon enough) and then he might get his life back. Of course, there is a chance that future Twilight movies might come his way, resulting in even more ghastly amounts of money going into his bank accounts. Poor guy. You gotta feel sorry for him, right?

    again, they never thought twilight was going to be THIS big. He is an actor who enjoys his profession. Enough is enough. If you are NOT seeking it out, we should not be snapping them at every bit. It’s tacky & classless

    i don’t understand why intelligent bloggers like yourself can’t or don’t want to understand that these actors are human too. they are not robots, they wont always be in the best mood… are you perky and happy after a long flight? are you never tired? do you always feel like taking pictures with your own friends and family? i know i certainly don’t and they are my family.

    just because you want to be and artist and you’ve made it doesn’t mean the media can exploit you and you’d have no personal preference or say in how you behave. i think it’s outrageous that instead of doing something positive we’re picking on celebs like it’s our full time job. this is not gossip but just poor taste and judging people unnecessarily.

    and just for the record i’m not a RP or twilight fan

      @sam — What you don’t seem to understand is that I DO understand that celebs don’t always want to be photographed but I also understand that it doesn’t matter if they like it or not. They make millions of dollars by selling themselves to the public and the public will take as much as they can in exchange. Trust me, I get it … celebs don’t always want to give up privacy but that comes with the territory. I’m sympathetic but to a degree. For example, If a fireman decided that he no longer wanted to deal with smoke, ash and the risk of dying in a house fire I’d be very sympathetic to those concerns … but if they still want to do the job then what more can be said?

    I didnt think famous people worked 24 hours a day, so if he was to smile for cameras and sign autographs etc all day and night, that would mean he is still in work mode, that would be exhausting!

    They do that to purposely ruin the shot as it reduces the value of the pic. The paps make their living of the backs of these celebs but the lengths they go to is ridiculous. Keira knightley would get called a whore and all sorts of names just to get a reaction out from her. No wonder she’s all moody and prissy in her pics. if you watch some of the paps vids, they can be just as nasty to Pattinson, but he just lets ot roll over his shoulders. So what if a celeb chooses not to be so accomodating now and then? Its the only way they can fight back in their own way, even if that results in a bunch of elitist bloggers getting all snarky over it.

    so following your logic Trent, if you are a fireman you have to fight fire 24 hours a day with your bare hands even if you were not working and had no equipment at your disposal? no personal time to rest or vacation with the family or ever be in a pissy mood.. yes?

    listen everyone’s selling something.. you’re selling your blog, I’m selling IT solutions.. actors are selling their performance art, doesn’t make them any less human. their fortune doesn’t take away their basic human rights. it’s not really about being sympathetic but recognizing that we’re all the same.. with or without money and deserve the same considerations.

    Yes i do feel bad for him. he cant even step outside without mass people taking pictures and grabbing him! for one thing i’m sure when he decided to do the twilight movies he did not know what he was getting him self into.. lay off alright? he’s a great guy and needs his privacy…
