Marc Jacobs & Lorenzo Martone Hold An Impromptu Beach Photosession

Yesterday we saw a few sexy photos of designer Marc Jacobs and his beloved Lorenzo Martone as they continued to enjoy their tropical holiday together down in St. Bart’s. Today we get to see a few more photos of Marc and Lorenzo as they frolicked and played on the beach, snapping fun photos of one another all the while:

I’m guessing that Mr. Martone has a differently colored speedo for each day of their vacation. First he rocked the black shorts, then the blue ones and now the red ones. I wonder what color he’ll rock next. Mr. Jacobs seems content to wear the same black speedo on a daily basis, which could get funky if you really think about it. In any event, it really looks like the lovers are having a grand time on holiday. I hope they continue to have fun like this as the week continues … one can never have too many sexy speedo pics in the morning :D

An Xmas Miracle!
Candy & Tori Spelling Bury The Hatchet For The Holidays

At the start of this month, we learned from Candy Spelling herself that she and estranged daughter Tori Spelling decided to end their years long (and very public) feud with one another in the hopes of fostering a new relationship together. US Weekly reports that the reconciliation is still on and was fortified by the mother and daughter’s decision to spend the Xmas holiday together!

Sounds like the Spelling family had a very merry Christmas indeed. After years of estrangement and very public, often nasty sparring, Candy Spelling and daughter Tori spent Christmas 2009 together, ET reports — in Beverly Hills, naturally. Candy, 64, and Tori, 36, made the yuletide gay for a Dec. 25 meal at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Joining them? Tori’s husband Dean McDermott, their children Liam and Stella, McDermott’s son Jack, plus Tori’s brother Randy Spelling and his girlfriend. An eyewitness told ET that “several strangers stopped by their table to give the reunited family unit their well-wishes.” The once-feuding mother and daughter have been hinting of a reconciliation for the past month. “We’re together as a family, and that’s the most important thing,” Tori told E! News Dec. 17. “It’s just a blessing that [the reconciliation] happened around the holidays,” she said. “And it just makes me think, ‘Wow, it’s an amazing thing and it happened this year and it’s just the best gift we could get.’” Earlier in the month, Candy told UsMagazine.com of their patched-up relationship, “I’m so happy. That’s all I want to say about this topic — I’m happy.”

Well it’s about damn time these adult women stopped acting like children and started acting like mature grown-ups. It’s pointless to place blame on either Candy or Tori because they are both guilty of acting like idiots … what is important now is to focus on the fact that the ladies have reconciled and appear to be serious about making their relationship work. I wish the Spellings a Happy, Happy New Year filled with love for one another in the hopes that they can make up for all that lost time they spent feuding with one another. I’m certain that the late Aaron Spelling, wherever he may be in the ethos, is happy at this news of reconciliation.

Sex addiction, you say?
Tiger Woods Reportedly Checks Into Rehab

Tiger Woods has been pretty much M.I.A. for the past few weeks in the wake of the explosion of the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal that erupted around Thanksgiving last month. There are rumors that Woods had to secretly get plastic surgery to fix the injuries to his face, reportedly caused by his wife Elin Nordegren after she bashed him with a golf club … but none of this has been substantiated at all. Today there is a new report that claims that the reason that Woods has been out of sight is because he has checked himself into a rehab clinic in Arizona — for sex addiction:

Golfer Tiger Woods is planning to enter rehab in Arizona for a sex addiction as well as Vicodin and Ambien use, according to The Daily Mail. Questions have swirled about Woods having a “sexual compulsion” after he was connected to numerous alleged mistresses following an accident outside his Florida home Thanksgiving weekend. That accident supposedly followed on the heels of an argument with his wife, Elin Nordegren, regarding a text message from one of the alleged mistresses, Rachel Uchitel. And the officer investigating the accident reportedly requested a subpoena because he thought Vicodin or Ambien may have been a factor in the crash. The golfer is believed to be at one of two upscale rehabilitation centers in Arizona: Cottonwood de Tucson or The Meadows, according to celebrity news outlet X17. Other reports say Woods traveled to Arizona for reconstructive facial surgery that he needed after Nordegren allegedly hit him in the side of the face with a 9-iron during their Thanksgiving confrontation. A message received by legendary sports writer Furman Bisher of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution claims Woods ran from his house, without shoes, while Elin continued swinging the club at him. “When [Elin] hit Tiger, she put a huge gash in the right side of his face next to his nose… knocking out two of his upper teeth, and breaking the bone on the upper right side,” the message details.

While I’m not totally sure I believe the plastic surgery rumor (which, you gotta admit, does seem plausible) I do kinda believe the rehab report. It makes sense that Tiger would do something positive and proactive in the wake of the mess he got himself into … going to rehab sends a message of contrition and admitted guilt. It also affords him a place to disappear from the world. If Tiger is smart, then he is getting some form of help for the problems he’s dealing with these days. This mess is far from blowing over and he’s got a long way to go to soldier thru this scandal.

My Top Movies & TV Shows Of 2009

Yesterday I posted lists of my Fave Music of ’09 and today I present lists of my Fave Movies and TV shows of 2009. I had a hard time narrowing down my lists for both movies and TV but, in the end, I think I got the list right … at least for me :) Here are my Top 10 Fave Movies of 2009:

At #10 is Avatar:

This movie, in IMAX 3D, was an amazingly beautiful sight to see. I’ll admit that the story (not at all unique) wasn’t the best ever but the storytelling coupled with the amazing special effects makes this movie worthy of inclusion on any Top 10 List for 2009. It was said that Avatar would change the way we watch movies in theaters FOREVER … and while I wouldn’t exactly agree, I will say that James Cameron‘s 15 years devoted to the making of this film were well spent. Avatar may not be a game changer but it very well may be a movie that we look back in years to come as a masterful modern fairytale.

At #9 is Moon:

This movie was all story. While it was cool to look at, the real draw here was the story and acting performance by Sam Rockwell. For most of the film, he acted opposite himself … and he did so very, very well. This movie was not really seen by a lot of people but I think those that did see did really enjoy it … I know I did.

At #8 is The September Issue:

This movie may have been called the “real-life Devil Wears Prada” but it was so much more than that. It was a really intriguing look into what it takes to publish the singly most important magazine issue in the world of Fashion. I loved seeing Vogue Editor In Chief Anna Wintour in action in this film but the real star of The September Issue is Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington. This film prolly wasn’t very interesting to folks not interested in Fashion but I loved it immensely.

At #7 is Taken:

Taken was prolly the biggest surprise for me this year. The film was released in France early in 2008 and then in the UK in Fall 2008. It wasn’t released in the US until January of 2009 and without much fanfare. I think I went to see it on a fluke and I was totally blown away by how fun the film was. Liam Neeson, action star. It was kind of like a Bourne Identity film but with an older, more mature hero. When I sat down to compile this list, I knew Taken would be on it because it’s one of the films that I really remember enjoying this year.

At #6 is Drag Me to Hell:

Okay, I take it back … Taken was not the biggest surprise for me this year, Drag Me to Hell was — for sure! I distinctly remember laughing out loud the first time I saw the trailer for Hell. It looked stupid and I had no plans to waste my time … then word of mouth started going around and people I trusted said that they loved it. I checked it out and, wouldn’t you know it, I loved it too! The movie wasn’t trying to be anything other than what it is … a jump in your seat, fun, horror flick. It’s a lot of fun.

After the jump, check out my Top 5 Fave Movies and my Top 10 Fave TV Shows of 2009

The girl version of R.Pattz
Robert & His Sister Say Hello

Did you know that Robert Pattinson has a sister named Victoria who bears a striking resemblance to him? ‘Tis true, behold:

I dunno … news on the R.Pattz front has been really quite lately and this new photo with his sister looked interesting. I can’t get over how much Vicky looks like a blonder, less hairy Rob.

"I knew that my princess needed her glass slippers and her castle"
Newlyweds Kevin Jonas & Danielle Deleasa Do ‘People’ Magazine

Last week we learned that Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa got hitched in NY and then shortly thereafter the newlyweds popped up on their honeymoon in Mexico (you may recall Kevin was rockin’ some shorty shorts). Today we get our first look at the couple’s wedding photo as featured on the cover of the new issue of People magazine:

Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa’s wedding earlier this month was like a fairy tale – complete with a castle, an enchanted forest and glass slippers in the bride’s shoe size, a gift from the groom. “I knew that my princess needed her glass slippers and her castle,” Jonas told PEOPLE of the nuptials. “I always wanted my wedding to have that princess feel,” adds the new Mrs. Jonas. “I couldn’t have imagined this,” she says of her lavish wedding Dec. 19 at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York. Despite a blizzard blanketing the roads around the castle, the wedding went forward without a hitch, and the bride, escorted by her father Thomas “Bucky” Deleasa, walked down the aisle to “Bella Notte,” from Lady and the Tramp, played on the guitar by a friend of the Jonas family. “I’m an Italian girl. It just fit me and my dad,” said Danielle of the song choice. The groom’s father Kevin Jonas Sr., an ordained minister, officiated along with Danielle’s childhood pastor, Rev. Ron DePasquale Jr. After reciting traditional vows, the couple exchanged Jacob & Co. wedding bands that they designed for one another. “I’ve never seen a more beautiful bride,” said Kevin of Danielle, who he calls his “Jersey Girl” and who wore a strapless tulle and Chantilly lace Vera Wang gown at the ceremony.

Uhhhhhh … glass slippers? Seriously? LOL … you know it was all his idea, too. I mean … yeah. Doesn’t it kinda sound like this wedding was orchestrated like a couple of kids who were playing “wedding”? HMMM. Well, whatever … as long as they are happy together, that’s really all that matters. Here’s to many happy years ahead for the happy couple … full of glass slippers and shorty shorts galore ;)

It's Miller time
‘A View From the Bridge’ Goes Into Previews On Broadway

The new Broadway production of Arthur Miller‘s A View from the Bridge, which stars Liev Schrieber, Scarlett Johansson and others, went into previews in NYC last night at the Cort Theater ahead of it’s official opening on January 24, 2010 (for a limited 14-week engagement. Here is a photo of Scarlett and Liev as they stopped to sign a few autographs after last night’s debut performance and some deets about the show itself:

Tony Award winner Liev Schreiber plays bruising Italian-American longshoreman Eddie Carbone in the new Broadway production of Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge, beginning previews Dec. 28. In director Gregory Mosher’s new staging of the Greek tragedy-inspired drama, Golden Globe nominee Scarlett Johansson (“Match Point,” “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”) makes her Broadway debut as the object of Eddie’s affection, his niece. She’s attracted to a newly arrived immigrant cousin, Rodolpho, played by Santino Fontana (Billy Elliot), arousing Eddie’s anger. Also joining Tony Award winner Schreiber (Glengarry Glen Ross, Talk Radio) at the Cort Theatre are Jessica Hecht, Michael Cristofer and Corey Stoll, plus Alex Cendese, Anthony DeSando, Antoinette LaVecchia, Mark Morettini, Joe Ricci, Morgan Spector, Robert Turano and Marco Verna. Opening is Jan. 24, 2010. A 14-week engagement has been announced. According to production notes, “In A View From the Bridge, Miller’s most passionate drama, Schreiber plays Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman obsessed with his 17-year-old niece Catherine, played by Scarlett Johansson. When Catherine falls in love with a newly arrived immigrant [played by Fontana], Eddie’s jealousy erupts in a rage that consumes him, his family, and his world.” The play was first seen on Broadway in 1955 as a short play paired with A Memory of Two Mondays. (Miller is, of course, the major American playwright known for All My Sons, Death of a Salesman and The Crucible.) A View From the Bridge resurfaced Off-Broadway in 1965, starring Robert Duvall. A 1983 Broadway revival starred Tony LoBianco. In 1997, Anthony LaPaglia played Eddie in a Roundabout Theatre Company Broadway revival. The actor won a Tony for his turn, and the production won the Tony as Best Revival.

On the one hand, I would LOVE to see Liev Schrieber on the Broadway stage. He is actually a pretty fantastic actor (X-Men Origins: Wolverine notwithstanding). On the other hand, I can’t for the life of me imagine that Scarlett Johansson would be very good on the live performance stage. But … what do I know? After the jump, check out a short promo video that features Liev and Scarlett (among others) talking up the play …

The Cast Of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ Does ‘Life & Style’ Magazine

The cast of MTV‘s hit reality TV series Jersey Shore (minus Angelina Jolie Pivarnick who was booted off the show by the 4th ep of the series) are featured in the new issue of Life & Style magazine … and holy moly, they did they get make-overs! For the most part, everyone looks pretty fantastic … save for Paul Pauly D Delvecchio (whose horrible hair cannot be made-over to look good at all). Here the photo and some deets about their transformations:

Gelled hair, micro-minidresses, Ed Hardy emblems and muscle tees have become the signature look of the hit MTV reality show Jersey Shore. “My personal style is fresh to death,” Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio — famous for his ultraspiked hair — tells Life & Style. “Have you ever been to the supermarket? You know the produce section, like where the food is fresh? That’s my style.” But on Dec. 21, Life & Style gave these up-and-coming stars a fresh new image, inviting them to ditch the shore and step onto the red carpet at one of NYC’s most exclusive nightclubs, Greenhouse, which has a strict dress-your-best policy. There, they modeled the most iconic Hollywood looks of the past few years. And they pulled it off like the A-list pros — including Kim Kardashian and Megan Fox — they were emulating. “I like to walk into the room and have everyone notice what I’m wearing,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi tells Life & Style. Mission accomplished! Makeover’s from left to right: Sammi and Ronnie as the new Brangelina, Sexy ‘Jwoww’ as Megan Fox, Mike gets into a Jake Gyllenhaal ‘situation,’ Snooki is a mini Kim Kardashian, Vinny dresses as Justin Timberlake, and Pauly D has Taylor Lautner’s style.

I mean … wow. Jenni Jwoww Farley looks the best, by far. I gotta give it up to Mike The Situation Sorrentino cuz he cleaned up pretty nicely as well. This goes to show that clothes really can make the man or woman and lotta money goes a long way. I gotta say, I’m impressed. Which one of these kids do YOU think looks the best?

Pick A Card, Any Card

Yesterday was a pretty cloudy day, perfect for keeping me indoors. I ventured out to run an errand yesterday afternoon only to find the shop I was visiting is closed on Mondays. Meh, it was good to get out of the house ;) I spent a quiet night in after David and I decided to scrap plans to go to the movies. I dug thru some of my books and found my copy of the Vertigo: Tarot Deck Set and decided to give it another read. I hadn’t read the book in about 10 years and had forgotten that Neil Gaiman wrote the introduction to the book:

I’ve been interested in tarot cards for years but I’ve never studied their use very seriously. I’ve always been better with working with runes than tarot cards (which is why I was SO elated to find a beautiful set of runes on my holiday in Iceland last year) but I still find the cards extremely fascinating. The Vertigo deck is just beautiful … Dave McKean‘s artwork is just — stunning. The book is a great quick read and is paired with this particular deck. I’ve always been partial to Aleister Crowley‘s Thoth Tarot deck but that’s another story. In any event, that’s what I did last night.

Today, I plan to run my errand again (hopefully, I’ll be more successful this time around) and will most likely keep things quiet and relaxing again ;) 2009 is slipping away … I’m really anxious to get 2010 underway.
