Lennon’s star isn’t missing – it has been relocated next to George Harrison’s – with the plan being all four solo Beatles’ stars will be together (McCartney’s isn’t placed yet, and he is working on setting up the date for his ceremony). Word is that the Beatles’ group star will still remain in the same place.
