Jermaine & Jermajesty Jackson Invade London

The little prince
December 14th, 2009

Yesterday we saw photos and learned that Janet Jackson has coupled up with a new man and today we get to see photos of another, less famous member of the Jackson family. Jermaine Jackson, who stars along with his brothers Tito, Marlon, and Jackie Jackson in a new reality show on A&E, has made his way to London, England with his son Jermajesty (yes, his name is actually Jermajesty) just as the new show The Jack5ons: A Family Dynasty premiered here in the US:

Because of the way that Jermaine and the Jackson brothers have seemingly been relishing in the fame they have received in the wake of Michael Jackson‘s death, I cannot stomach the idea of watching them on TV. It’s sad but to me it looks like Jermaine thinks that MJ‘s death is the best thing to happen for his career … it’s gross. Never one to turn down an interview or pose for a photo, Jermaine seems to be teaching his young son the ropes of being a Jackson. I hope for his sake he takes a few lessons from his aunt Janet … cashing in on the death of Michael Jackson will only take the less famous Jacksons so far. So … have any of y’all watched The Jack5sons: A Family Dynasty? Thoughts?

Jermajesty O_O…… ppl fucking kill me .

  2. Kendra Says:

How could his wife have let him name their kid Jermajesty?? Horrible..And this is def one cheesy reality show I’ll be avoiding..I agree, Trent..The whole thing just disgusts me..

  3. Shannon Says:

I’m so glad you mentioned the new show making you sick… The thought of it disgusts me. To cash in on the death of a family member is lower than low.. I for one refuse to watch any part of that monstrosity and hopes it won’t be on the air long *gag*. Also.. Who the hell would name their kid “Jermajesty”…. SERIOUSLY!?!?!

  4. TJ Says:

I absolutely refuse to watch this show. It’s exactly what you said, Trent…. these “men” are totally doing their best to cash in on their brother’s death. It’s disgusting.

  5. Lauren Says:

You couldn’t pay me to watch this show. I didn’t care for Michael Jackson when he was alive but his brothers make me sick! No one should try to profit from a death in the family like they have. On a side note…if my parents named me Jermajesty, my butt would be at the court house as soon as I was old enough to change my name!

  6. J to the Da Says:

I watched the premiere episode of the show and I refuse to watch another episode. It is so obvious that they (mainly Jermaine) jumped at the chance to be in the spotlight. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. ITA that Jermaine thinks MJ’s death is the best thing for his own career. I’ve never gotten a great vibe off of Jermaine, even when MJ was alive. Jermaine always struck me as an opportunist who claimed such closeness with Michael even though Michael wasn’t in contact with most of his family for years. As much as MJ loved his family, I doubt this is what he would want.

  7. Ailene Says:

I’m with you. I cannot even look at the promos for the series on A & E. Sad.

  8. victoria Says:

THIS SHOW WAS IN THE WORKS BEFORE MICHAEL DIED AND HE WAS VERY SUPPORTIVE TO HIS BROTHER’S.ABOUT DOING THIS SHOW.IT WAS SAID ON ‘E’ NEWS.

  9. x-man Says:

    Jermaine’s pink eye?

This is exactly the bullshiz that made me mistrust Michael so much!

The Jackson family appear to be pathological liars, taking each others lies as truth, all the while acknowledging the deception. Monsters/Martyrs?

Reality is what they make it and screw you if you don’t understand or, god-forbid, criticize.

    Love the blog Trent!!!

  10. Meredith Says:

Jermajesty. I’m not really sure where to go with this. I guess it is a parent’s right to name their kid whatever they want, but this is pretty out there. My biggest issue with names like this is when the parent acts like it’s so normal; as if they named their child John or Jane. If you’re going to use names like this, admit you made it up. That’s all I’m saying. Oh, and don’t even think about giving me attitude when I don’t pronounce it the way you intended it.

I will certainly NOT be watching the new show about the Jackson brothers… their timing on this show is absolutely horrid, and the fact that they are trying to ride on the coat tails of their deceased brother is obvious. Boo to the Jackson’s for trying to benefit from their brothers death! Shame on you!

  12. Chivonne Says:

I find it pretty gross how they all have come out of the wood work since his death. I’m sorry but we didn’t care before so how should Michael dying make us care any more? I doubt the show will do well. I won’t be watching it.

  13. Rina Says:

Agreed most of the Jackson’s behaved in a very appaulling manner when MJ died. I could not stomach watching their reality show. Poor MJ.

  14. Trinny Says:

I have to agree with you — it’s appalling that this family seems so excited about the attention that Michael Jackson’s death has brought them. It’s like once he died, they all started scrambling for what they could get out of the situation (except, apparently, for Momma Jackson, Janet and Rebbie). Have you heard the commercial for this show where one of them says “You’re Jackson 5 till the day you die”? Really? That’s appropriate? That’s considerate? That’s respectful of your late brother, you know, the one you profess to love? Wow. Although, considering that their father seems to be leading the charge for capitalizing on MJ’s death, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised.

  15. Shelly Says:

The only amusing/good part of the Jacksons reality show was Tito’s impression of Joe Jackson. That’s it.

  16. Shelly Says:

Oh and it’s Marlon on the show, Trent, not Randy. :)

  17. Msgonzo10 Says:

I was actually quite hesitant to watch the show and then decided to give it a chance. Actually, they started filming before Michael passed (although you wouldn’t know this based on the promos and whatnot). They did this to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Jackson Five. Surprisingly enough, I found that I enjoyed it – think about it, Jackie, Tito and Marlon have always kept a low profile – so I don’t think it’s fair to say that they are just doing this to cash in on Michael. You can tell that the footage is clearly mashed between pre and post Michael passing – I don’t think there’s anything wrong with them moving forward with the show – at the end of the day, that was their brother – they lost more than any of us so if their mama was cool with it, who are we to freak.

  18. Ella Says:

    JERMAJESTY?? WTF?!

  19. Lina Says:

I did watch the show. While it’s obvious most of the attention the family is getting is just from the wake of MJ’s death, the brothers seem to realize they have to tread very lightly when it comes to their own careers. They were doing their thing for years before Michael died, but his death has thrown all of them under the microscope. Suddenly, every move they make is going to attributed to “They’re just cashing in on his death.” And most of the brothers ackowledge this. Jermaine, on the other hand, seems a little too eager to jump on his new found popularity, and it was obvious that it made the other bros uncomfortable. When Jermaine isn’t on screen, it’s interesting to watch. When he is though, it’s cringe worthy.

  20. lari Says:

he can name his son whatever he wants. i’ve heard worst names. and the show is actually ok. there were some sad and funny parts. i’ll be watching next sunday.

  21. p Says:

Before reading the other comments i felt exactly the same way about the show, intent on NOT watching it because of how foul i believed the brothers to be for cashing in on their way more talented brothers death. But after reading Lina’s comment, i think she has a point. They may have been doing things of their own for awhile but because their his brothers of course there being watched and scrutized. I think it was a very well made point.

  22. Claire Says:

    Jermajesty!?!?!? Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  23. evie Says:

I understand what everyone is sayin, but it’s not that bad, really. michael was behind this and the first show was shot before he passed on. they are just doing what everyone else is doing, and if anyone is allowed to do it, it’s the jackson’s. i like seeing them like this. if jersey shore can get all that attention, why can’t the band that broke barriers back in the day, sold a ridculous amount of records, and endured more in their childhood then some of us will EVER know. go jacksons! when you press play on the jackson christmas album, remember who these people were. they may enjoy fame, but the people were family. trust.

  24. cmdl Says:

I will not be watching this show. But if the cashing in on MJs death disgusts you maybe stop running these pics. You are assisting in giving them (him) what they (he) wants – more publicity.

  25. Sheri Says:

It is disgusting and appalling that MJ’s Family have been doing nothing but hogging the spotlight since Micheal died. What kind of family decides to do a reality show about the Jackson family after the death of one of their own? I would have preferred to have seen Micheal in it as well.

This is so …low and dirty of them. I have lost all respect for the jackson family, excluding his kids.

    shame on you!

  26. tami Says:

ok trent you are entitled to your opinion but lets get somethings straight. First of all this was in the works way before anyone even suspected michael was going to die. Second, I find it extremely disrepsectful that you can even suggest they’re trying to cash in on their baby brothers death. Are you in their minds? do you know what they are feeling? Are they supposed to stop everything that was going on in their lives because MJ died??? How dare you make any assumptions of what their intentions for this show are. Last time i checked they were the ones who lost their family member, and they are the ones that have to deal with that lost. Here’s some advice, watch the show before you cast your judgements. Or try coping with the loss of a sibling and then have everyone and their mother scrutinize your every move after that sibling has passed!!!!

  27. It's Trent, Bitch! Says:

@tami — You are free to disagree and believe what you wish. It’s merely my opinion, no one else’s.
