When last we heard about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows here on the blog it was May and the principal stars were hard at work filming scenes for the new film in the fields of the United Kingdom. Today, many months after, we get our FIRST LOOK at the new teaser trailer for the film. Altho The Deathly Hallows won’t be released in theaters until November of 2010, it appears that the movie studio really wants to jumpstart the promo campaign this holiday season. Here are a few screencaps from this new teaser trailer:

I understand that this early preview trailer is included on the DVD release of the most recent Harry Potter film The Half-Blood Prince which opened in theaters this past Summer and was just released for sale last Tuesday, December 8. After the jump, check out the teaser trailer for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (Part I) …
Okay … so we don’t really see all that much of the film but it is a great tease nonetheless. Considering the film won’t be released for almost a full year from now, I suppose we should be happy to have this early tease. What do y’all think … are we excited?

They can tease me all they like. Any little smidge of HP info —–> I will take it.
Squeeeeee!
I was so excited when I saw this on the DVD special features that I almost pee’d myself.
It was okay! I really wish they would release this before November of next year! They should release them like the Twillight series…every 6 months or so! Either way I love these movies and I can’t wait to see it. Give me more in the next trailer!!
This looks great. Even the little bit they give us – I’ll take it!
I also saw on my MSN homepage a new trailer for Alice in Wonderland. Check it out cause its EXCELLENT!
I seriously almost pissed myself..I’m SO excited!! This is why I couldn’t bag on the Twilight fans too much..I get just as lame as giddy as they do over Harry Potter!! Though, it’s not for any shirtlessness..Just for a super fun story!
i´ll take what i can get, love it :)
OMG YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
I love me some Harry Potter, I think the movies are amazing!
And Rupert Grint, aaaaah -swoon-!
AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it!!!!! The fun fact is that they are still filming the two parts of HP7!
@Mr. Gyllenhaal , they won’t release them every 6 months because Harry Potter movies actually take the time to come out with an amazing product and not just something to easily satisfy the rabid fans. In a way, I’m glad the ride won’t be over till the middle of 2011. Gives me something to look forward to.
So excited!!! It was amazing reading the book and I’m really looking forward to how this non-Hogwarts centered storyline comes across on the big screen.
Oh my God!!!!! BRING IT ON NOWWWW!!!! I can not waitttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ Irma – that’s not the only reason. I’m sure if they wanted to film them all really fast, they could have, and the quality would have been the same, but it’s the fact that all the characters are supposed to have aged. It takes place over years. Twilight 2 & 3 were filmed at the same time because there isn’t supposed to be a gap in time, really, if I remember correctly. Like, they filmed all the LotR movies together, and I think filming took them a year (ish?) and then were able to release them every six months or so, and I think arguably those are some of the best movies of this decade/generation.
The Harry Potter movies are starting to suck. The last one was extremely boring and mediocre. I’m a huge fan of the series but they keep on cutting all the action sequences! It really pisses me off. The action is one of the best things about the Harry Potter series…the last movie that was truly good was Goblet of Fire. Order of the Phoenix was somewhat of a disappointment and the last one was extremely disappointing. Hopefully this one will be better but I doubt it. I’ll still watch it regardless.
Ooh niceee! It reminded me I wanna read the book again!
I NEED to read these books again. I was so upset when I finished the last one that I pushed HP to the side to try and get over it. I really should watch these movies too. Only ever saw the first one and was so angry over it I swore never to see another.
@CHASE idk if u read the books but if you did you would know 5 and 6 are more of a transition and have much content that was cut for the theatre but I assure you the last is more action packed
I also miss the action but as long as cutie tom felton is there I’m good :)
Yay! Can’t wait! The last one is going to be truly epic
