David Beckham was a guest on the new TBS late night talk show Lopez Tonight and in his interview he talked a bit about the personalities of his children (“Brooklyn is really sensitive…Romeo loves fashion…Cruz runs the family, he is the boss.”), his enduring commitment to the LA Galaxy (he swears that he will return to play with the Los Angeles Galaxy in July 2010) and he even gave George Lopez a “bro-hawk” hair’do! Here are a few caps from Becks‘s appearance on the show:

He might be most renowned for his footballing skills, but David Beckham is almost as well known for his different hairstyles. But the boot was on the other foot when he was asked to cut a TV presenters hair. U.S. comic George Lopez insisted that the footballer give him a make-over during his television show Lopez Tonight. The LA Galaxy and AC Milan star told him: ‘If you want me to give you some kind of haircut – my mum’s a hairdresser so I’ve inherited that a little bit.’ He then whipped off his suit jacket and went to work trimming Lopez’s hair. Explaining his many styles, from floppy peroxide curtains to a mohawk, David Beckham said: ‘I just kind of get bored – I wake up in the morning and I don’t like my hair so sometimes I cut it myself.’ After a quick run through with clippers, he then tried trimming with scissors. ‘I’m not going to take to much off because your wife will kill me,’ Becks said. Lopez said: ‘Give me a little gel – I want a bro-hawk like you!’ The footballer also announced to the home crowd that he would return to Los Angeles next year after the World Cup. ‘I’ll be coming back,’ he said, to rounds of applause. ‘I begin playing again in Europe December 28 for AC Milan then after the World Cup I’ll be back here middle of July.’
I was able to watch the show and Becks was just adorable. He lit UP when he was talking about his sons. It really was a great, fun interview. After the jump, check out video of Becks‘s full interview last night including the bit where he styled George Lopez‘s hair — you know you want to see how his “bro-hawk” turned out …
LOL … so fun! I would TOTALLY let David Beckham style my hair, I’m just saying. As much as his voice used to weird me out, I’m getting more used to hearing him speak. I hope he does more interviews soon … he is always a treat to watch.

I hate hate hate Lopez Tonight. I just don’t think he’s funny and I can’t watch it. David Beckham looks cute as usual though.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong how Becks talks. It’s rather unique, actually.
Did anyone else catch George drop the s-bomb in the 3rd clip when Becks picked up the scissors? Something along the lines of “oh sh*t, he’s for real”.
@Laura M, I heard that too and I was like um are they not bleeping things out anymore?? @Trent, if you could find the entire interview, that would be AWESOME! or if anyone else could, that’d be great. I love me some DB.
@ Laura M. – Shit is allowed on late night tv now. I watch The Closer on TNT at 9 and they say it from time to time.
I’m happy to know I’m not the only one who finds his voice super weird. I remember when I heard him talk the first time I literally said “ew wtf is that really him?”
hahaha he kind of sounds like a little boy.
i wish he was a real hairdresser i’d love to work next to him lol.
I’d let him play with whatever hair he can find on my body..And, so I don’t creep anyone out, I won’t say how much or how little that may be..
I love Lopez Tonight. It’s so much fun to watch and such a different atmosphere from the other Late Night shows. I still love me some Conan thought but I’m really glad George is on the scene to spice things up a bit!
I am also a big fan of George Lopez. His concerts on HBO are really hilarious. Laugh until I cry.
it was way too scripted…like how he had his childhood pic ready for becks to make fun of, how all the hairdressing stuff was already there….so he definitely knew he was getting his haircut. DB is a charming guest, but Lopez doesnt have the intelligence for being a good host.
