Singer/Songwriter and new mom Lisa Loeb is finally doing something that many believe she should’ve done AGES ago … she is finally launching her own collection of eyewear. Ever since Lisa broke onto the music scene all those years ago, she has always been identified by the eyeglasses that she wears. Now, in a new partnership with Classique Eyewear, Lisa will be selling a line of eyewear specially designed by her:

Though Lisa Loeb rose to fame as a singer, she’s probably just as well known for her eyeglasses. Loeb is finally cashing in on her signature look, partnering with Classique Eyewear on a line of frames called “The LL Collection.” “People have been asking me about my eyewear style for years. Finally I decided – why not design my own line – so other people can see the world like I do,” she says. The new series includes streamlined pieces in black and tortoiseshell, as well as embellished options punctuated with rhinestones and etchings. “I worked with Classique Eyewear to design a line that represents the look I love: one that can be worn from day into night, that’s classic but stylish, that frames the face and lifts the eyes, but doesn’t speak before you have a chance to,” she declares. The star goes on to describe her aesthetic: “My eyewear generally has a cat-eyed look. Think sexy librarian, not retro grandma,” and says that her new collection was created largely for “women with style,” but that “some frames are more unisex and could look cute on stylish men, too!” Each item is named after one of her songs, and will be available for purchase in spring of next year.

It’s about time. True, Lisa has always made her music the center of her career but, as I said, she is so universally identified with the glasses that she wears that it only makes sense for her to launch her own line of eyewear. I don’t even wear glasses and I want a pair of LL glasses :) But, even with this new project coming to light, I believe Lisa has an even more important endeavor to fill her world … a little newborn endeavor named Lyla Rose. After saying their I Dos over the weekend in Long Island, NY, newlyweds Kevin Jonas (of Jonas Brothers) and Danielle Deleasa (of hairdressing) jetted off to Mexico this week to get their honeymoon on … and you know what that means … Mr. Jonas can finally replace his purity ring with a coc — er, a wedding ring:

Yay!! It may have taken a legal wedding ceremony to get the job done but at last, one of the Jonas brothers is gettin’ some! While I am not really a fan (at all) of anything Jonas related, I must admit that I am happy that Kevin found himself a life partner to share his life and love with. I wish them a long and happy life together and all the sex they can handle. After all of that abstaining of the flesh, I think they both deserve it, don’t you?

After spending a short few days in New York (reportedly to meet agent/beau Jason Trawick‘s parents who live in Long Island, NY), Britney Spears jetted out of NYC and made her way to … LA:

I guessed that her next destination might be the place where she will be spending the holidays this year and it looks like she may be having a warm SoCal Xmas at home. Now, there is still time for our dear Britney to charter a private plane to whisk her back to her place of birth, Kentwood, LA, to spend Xmas with mama Lynne Spears and lil’ sis Jamie Lynn but it is just as likely that she will refrain from engaging in any holiday travel and just stay put at home here in Los Angeles. Considering how cute Britney looks when she is traveling, tho, I wouldn’t be surprised if she does decided to fly back to Louisiana after all. I think I love this photos so much because there isn’t a scrunchie in sight. Halle-freakin’-lujah!!

On the very same day that once husband Deane Sheremet filed for divorce from his infidelitous musician wife LeAnn Rimes, a divorce settlement was reached between the couple … the terms of which have been confidentially sealed. I would imagine, with the plethora of evidence of LeAnn‘s marital infidelity, that Deane got pretty much everything he wanted from the divorce. But as far as the marriage goes, the couple are officially dunzo!

That was fast. On the same day Deane Sheremet filed for divorce last week from LeAnn Rimes, they agreed to a confidential divorce settlement, Los Angeles court records show. “The [settlement] shall not be filed in this proceeding due to the parties mutual desire to maintain their respective rights to privacy,” the document reads. The settlement presumably divides their cash, property and other valuables. Both Rimes, 27, and Sheremet, 29, will be legally single after their marital status officially ends on June 19, 2010. Their nearly eight-year marriage crumbled as Rimes began a relationship with actor Eddie Cibrian, who was married at the time to Brandi Glanville. Cibrian and Glanville are also divorcing.

HMMM. Something tells me that LeAnn and her “mistress” Eddie Cibrian won’t be waiting until she reaches “legally single status” to get their creep on again, so legally she’ll still be a cheating wife. Whatever the terms of the divorce are, let’s hope that Deane was able to get what he is due since his wife decided to make a public mockery of their wedding vows.
