Shocking and very sad news to pass along today … TMZ is reporting that Brittany Murphy has passed away due to cardiac arrest! As is always the case with news this fresh, details are slim but here is what is being reported right now:

Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ. She was 32. A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ. We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Murphy starred in such films as “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” and “Don’t Say a Word.”

I am completely and utterly shocked! I loved Brittany as Tai in Clueless and she always held a special place in my heart ever since. I seriously am at a loss for words. I cannot believe that this has happened :( I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about this as more details become available. For now, let’s send our love and condolences to the Murphy family for their loss. This is so tragic … rest well, Brittany.

The Mean Girls actress donned a sexy see-through fishnet body stocking (and very little else) for a photoshoot and video that almost melted the camera lens. Keen-to-shock Li-Lo chose to pose in the doorway of a bathroom, toilet bowl in full view. In one shot she is seen, cig in mouth, with a half-naked male model falling at her feet and clutching her thigh … She has just returned from India, where she was filming a BBC documentary about the trafficking of women and children. And next year the actress, 23, will appear in the big-screen smash Machete – alongside legend Robert De Niro and action man Steven Segal. Lindsay plays April – a socialite with a penchant for guns. But the bolshie blonde is somewhat of a bad girl off screen too. She famously served 84 minutes of jail time in 2007 for drink and drug offenses. But as these washroom wonders show, Li-Lo has really cleaned up her act.

Last night was Sarah and Mark’s annual Xmas party and it should go without saying that it was another fabulous night in Detroit. Before the festivities got started last night, I met up with Tracey and Zakiya for dinner and gift exchanging:

It is time, once again, to gawk and gander at the Hot Dude of the Week and since I’m here in freezing Detroit, MI this week I’m really lookin’ for a Hot Dude to bring the heat. Say hello to Joe D:

The blue skies, the palm trees and rippling tanned muscles are just what the doctor ordered to warm us up on this chilly Sunday … er, but let’t just try to ignore the diamond stud earring and *gasp* those fugly mandals. Not even Hot Dudes like Joe D. can be totally perfect all the time. Less is more, remember that Joe. Lose the earring and mandals (and mebbe the undies, too) and you’d be a BIG hit :) I can’t complain tho, can you? Enjoy!!

Valentine’s Day, the romantic comedy due out next February and stars 98.6% of the working actors in Hollywood, has released the first movie poster artwork and video trailer for the film. Here is the poster which lists all the actor’s who star in the film and quite a bit of info about the film itself:

OK, let’s do the rundown: Ashton Kutcher, Kathy Bates, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Jessicas Alba and Biel, Bradley Cooper, Shirley MacLaine, Patrick Dempsey, Topher Grace, Queen Latifah, Taylors Swift and Lautner, George Lopez, Eric Dane, Hector Elizondo, Jennifer Garner — are we forgetting anyone? Oh, right. Emma Roberts, and her aunt Julia. From director Garry Marshall (‘Pretty Woman’) comes ‘Valentine’s Day’, a sweeping, meet-by-chance, ensemble comedy in the mode of 1999’s New Year’s Eve star-cluster ‘200 Cigarettes’ and 2003’s Christmas Eve, Brit-fest ‘Love Actually’. Only now the day in question is, of course, that fated day every February, the one Kutcher tells us “comes every year whether you like it or not.” Watch as perhaps the most star-studded cast ever assembled (not to mention two-fifths of a ‘That 70’s Show’ reunion) navigates love, sex and relationships on a day meant to celebrate the whole spectacular mess. From what we can tell about the entanglements, Cooper and Julia Roberts are working on a cross-country, plane cabin, V-Day romance, while a few thousand feet below, Biel’s strained relationship with Foxx has driven her to the point of bitterness, booze and helium inhalation. Grace, in a budding relationship with Hathaway, can’t seem to get his dates right, while Emma Roberts hopes the date may prove more … transformative. Homecoming super-couple Lautner and Swift seemed turned on by “the hype” of a local camera crew, and Kucther — who proposes to Alba on the grounds that she’s “too good for him” — is stuck delivering bouquets of roses to all of them. We’re probably leaving too much out, and as is par for the course with these types of films, Marshall probably has some lovely surprises in store for us along the way. But if the trailer is any indication, this film will a be fun, touching tour through not only what makes us crazy about V-day, but what about that day makes us crazy for each other as well. Valentine’s Day opens February 12, 2010.

Here are a few cute pics of a heavily bundled up Heidi Klum and hubby Seal as they putzed around Aspen, CO this weekend where the family have temporarily relocated for the holidays. As you can see, Heidi was carrying around her newborn baby girl Lou Suloa in her own little baby parka while Seal got in a bit of snowboarding … behold:

This family is so cute … they always make time for fun family trips like these. They are a very routinized bunch, as well. They like to celebrate the holidays in the same fashion each year and the couple even like to get married over and over again on their anniversaries. It’s hard to believe that any family is perfect … but the Klum-Samuels have got to be the closest thing to perfection, I think. It’s nice to see them lookin’ so happy … here’s hoping they enjoy a very happy, festive and loving first Xmas with their newest addition to the family — Lil’ Miss Lou :)
