Early this morning I had the extreme fortune to interview the amazing Julie Benz about the events that transpired on the season 4 finale episode of Dexter which aired last Sunday:

Now, I realize that there still may be a few folks out there who have yet to see the finale ep (for various reasons) so in order to keep those people unspoiled I’ll keep the deets about our chat behind the cut. I’ve posted the full audio of our conversation so that you can listen in and hear Julie talk about that final scene that aired Sunday night, her thoughts on her character Rita Morgan overall, what the show and the finale episode mean to her personally and more. Yesterday we got our first look at the new poster for Season 7 of Project Runway in addition to seeing the first promo pics of the new cast of contestants. Today we get to check out a bunch of promo pics from the new season of PR premiering on Lifetime next month which feature the hosts we know and love well … Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn:

Sean Faris, an actor you may not be too familiar with outside of his starring role in 2008′s Never Back Down (which also starred Gam Giganet pre-Twilight) but whom I’ve been a fan of since his days on the ill-fated TV series Reunion, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Health magazine … here is his coverphoto:

Many folks think that Faris looks like a young Tom Cruise, which I can see myself, but considering Tom‘s craziness of the past few years … I don’t think it’s a compliment anymore. Mike The Situation Sorrentino, one of the break-out stars of MTV‘s new reality TV series Jersey Shore, is enjoying a taste of fame these days in the wake of his TV show’s growing popularity. Just this week alone, Mike and a few of his Jersey Shore cohorts made their way to LA to attend award shows, be featured on talk shows and parties have been thrown in their honor … but with new fame comes the much scrutiny. An industrious person over at ONTD! happened upon Sorrentino‘s yearbook (Class of ’99, I believe) and shares with us homie’s senior photo:

I understand that Mike “pre-Situation” attended classes at Manalapan High School, whose school motto is “Today’s Students – Tomorrow’s Leaders”. LOL. It’s funny to see him so … un-tanned, no? Any fans of The Situation out there? What do y’all think of his senior pic?

David Beckham was a guest on the new TBS late night talk show Lopez Tonight and in his interview he talked a bit about the personalities of his children (“Brooklyn is really sensitive…Romeo loves fashion…Cruz runs the family, he is the boss.”), his enduring commitment to the LA Galaxy (he swears that he will return to play with the Los Angeles Galaxy in July 2010) and he even gave George Lopez a “bro-hawk” hair’do! Here are a few caps from Becks‘s appearance on the show:

He might be most renowned for his footballing skills, but David Beckham is almost as well known for his different hairstyles. But the boot was on the other foot when he was asked to cut a TV presenters hair. U.S. comic George Lopez insisted that the footballer give him a make-over during his television show Lopez Tonight. The LA Galaxy and AC Milan star told him: ‘If you want me to give you some kind of haircut – my mum’s a hairdresser so I’ve inherited that a little bit.’ He then whipped off his suit jacket and went to work trimming Lopez’s hair. Explaining his many styles, from floppy peroxide curtains to a mohawk, David Beckham said: ‘I just kind of get bored – I wake up in the morning and I don’t like my hair so sometimes I cut it myself.’ After a quick run through with clippers, he then tried trimming with scissors. ‘I’m not going to take to much off because your wife will kill me,’ Becks said. Lopez said: ‘Give me a little gel – I want a bro-hawk like you!’ The footballer also announced to the home crowd that he would return to Los Angeles next year after the World Cup. ‘I’ll be coming back,’ he said, to rounds of applause. ‘I begin playing again in Europe December 28 for AC Milan then after the World Cup I’ll be back here middle of July.’

I was able to watch the show and Becks was just adorable. He lit UP when he was talking about his sons. It really was a great, fun interview. Yesterday was a pretty quiet day for me … I ran out to pick up a few things (books, mostly) and spend a leisurely night reading and packing for my trip home to Detroit this weekend:

I fly out later today and as happy as I am to see my family and friends, I’m not very much looking forward to the cold weather. I understand the highs have only been reaching the 20s … OY! It’s gonna be low 80s here in LA tomorrow ;( Ah well … it’s home, right?

Last Sunday we got our first look at the first movie poster from the upcoming biopic film based on the 70′s band The Runaways which, as you should know by now, stars Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Curie. Today we get our FIRST LOOK at the first teaser movie trailer for The Runaways … here are a few screencaps:

Look, I realize this clip is under a minute long but I gotta say … I’m impressed. This trailer is meant to be just a tease but in the glimpses we see of the actresses playing the parts of The Runways, you can tell that they really look like the people they are playing in the film … particularly K. Stew. She looks exactly like Joan Jett. Don’t take my word for it, check out this trailer after the jump …

La Toya Jackson, arguably the most fabulous member of the Jackson family, showed her Xmas spirit here in SoCal yesterday as she stepped out to do some shopping at, well, Frederick’s of Hollywood. No word on if her lingerie purchases were for herself or for other folks on her Xmas list (Mama Katherine Jackson, perhaps?) but Toy walked out the establishment with her arms laden with full shopping bags … behold:

Okay … so we all know that as Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Jackson family doesn’t really celebrate Xmas so mebbe these lingerie purchases will serve other non-holiday-related purposes. Whatever the case may be, here’s hoping La Toya has a merry time with her new undies … and that we never have to see her modeling them ;)

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the animated TV series The Simpsons (which, I’ll have you know, debuted on TV 20 years ago TODAY), as well as the release of the 20th season of The Simpsons on DVD (due out next month), Fox has released a new promo poster that seemingly includes every single character that has ever appeared on the show. A poster like this was released back in 2007 but this new poster has been updated with new characters that have been introduced in the past couple of years:

From Entertainment Weekly: All this poster is missing is Waldo. Tied to the DVD release of The Simpsons‘ 20th season (out Jan. 12), Fox has created an updated poster of their famous shot from 2007’s The Simpsons Movie. Because, clearly, they did not fit enough characters on their first poster. Slackers. (You can only enjoy this new and improved poster in larger form here—this shot is exclusive to EW!) Springfield folks I’m glad made the cut this time around? The Golem from “Treehouse of Horror XVII,” the angel skeleton from “Lisa the Skeptic,” and Ray Romano’s Ray Magini from “Don’t Fear the Roofer.” But I’m absolutely stoked to see one of my favorite characters, Eleanor Abernathy (a.k.a. Crazy Cat Lady), if only because she reminds me of who I will be in 30 years’ time … Have Matt Groening & Co., missed anyone?
