In the wake of the on-going controversy stirred up by the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal, the big name corporations which pay Woods exorbitant sums of money to endorse their products have, thus far, remained loyal to him … except for one. Gatorade has decided to discontinue the sale of Tiger Focus, a sports drink named for Tiger Woods. BUT, lest you think Gatorade decided to cut ties with Woods over all his new cheating scandal biz, it turns out that the decision to axe the drink came BEFORE he got into that car accident that stirred up all of his drama:

Gatorade confirmed Tuesday it is discontinuing its Tiger Woods drink but says it made the decision before the golfer’s car accident led to a media firestorm surrounding his personal life. The decision to drop the drink, called Tiger Focus, was first reported by trade publication Beverage Digest in an issue dated Nov. 25, two days before the incident at Woods’ home in Florida. The publication’s editor, John Sicher, said he learned of the decision the week of Nov. 9. The brand — a unit of PepsiCo Inc. — says the decision does not have to do with recent events. A spokesman says the decision came several months ago. The drink debuted in March 2008. Beverage Digest estimates it represents less than 5 percent of Gatorade’s volume. Sales volume of Tiger Focus was down 34 percent this year through October.

Interesting timing … I have no doubt that Pepsi decided to kill Tiger Focus due to poor sales but it’s kinda funny that the decision is almost timed with the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal. It remains to be seen if any of Tiger‘s other big name endorsement deals will go away due to his very public family drama but if his image continues to get dragged thru the crud, he’s bound to pay for it in lost endorsement deals.

Congratulations are in order for happily marrieds Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady because People magazine is reporting that they are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. According to a source close to the family, Gisele brought forth the fruit of her loins just in time for the coming holidays:

There’s another Brady in the bunch. Sources tell PEOPLE that Gisele Bündchen and husband Tom Brady welcomed a baby boy. Details of the birth and the baby’s name have not been disclosed. Bündchen, 29, and New England Patriots quarterback Brady, 32, were married in a private ceremony in February in Los Angeles. In April, they held a follow-up wedding for friends and family at Bündchen’s Costa Rican estate. The child is the first for the Brazilian supermodel. Brady has a 2-year-old son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan. Brady had said earlier this month that he was aware of the baby’s gender, but that Bündchen preferred not to know.

As you may recall, we heard from Gisele herself that she didn’t want to know the sex of her baby until it was born but clearly Tom couldn’t handle the suspense … so now we all know that it’s a boy!! I’m pretty sure Daddy Brady is over the moon that he’s got another son … he’s well on his way to building his very own football team ;) I’m dying to know more deets about the birth of their son (particularly, the little guy’s name) but I’m happy to know that he was born happy and healthy. Much love and congrats goes out to the newly expanded family!!!

David and Victoria Beckham were reunited in the UK early yesterday as VB flew back to her homeland this week to be with her husband for the funeral of his grandfather who passed away last week. But, before Les Beckhams could get to morunin’ they had to get down to celebratin’. Posh and Becks were on hand at the Connaught Hotel in the Mayfair district of London last night to celebrate Vicki B‘s recent appearance on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine (photos of which we saw at the end of October). She’s currently gracing the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, and what better way to celebrate than a meal with your friends? Victoria Beckham stepped out with husband David to attend a celebratory dinner at the Connaught Hotel, in Mayfair, London. Wearing a black dress with a zip all the way down the front complete with a sparkling belt and a blue pair of heels, the former Spice Girl, 35, looked immaculate – topping the ensemble off with her hair tied back into a bow-like shape. Meanwhile Becks sported a tight-fitting, sixties style grey suit, with a white shirt and black tie. The Beckhams were joined by their friends the Ramsays, chef Gordon and his wife Tana, Elton John’s partner David Furnish and Jasmine Guinness at the dinner. Gavin Rossdale, Gwen Stefani and Roberto Cavalli also attended the star-studded dinner.

But while last night was the time to eat, drink, be merry and celebrate with friends, today is the day for mourning with close family. Another day, another development in the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal. Yesterday we learned that Tiger‘s wife Elin Nordegren had reportedly packed her shizz and moved out of the Woods manse in the wake of all the drama EXPLODING all around Tiger and his supposed cavalcade of mistresses … but considering that Elin‘s mother was rushed to the hospital from the Woods mansion early Tuesday morning after she suffered a “stomach ailment”, it would seem that Elin hadn’t really moved out just yet. But, don’t be surprised if she really does move out of her home with hubby Tiger to a new home … a home that is far, far away … in Sweden. It turns out that Elin bought a $2.5 million dollar mansion in Sweden (her homeland) with her twin sister Josefin just a couple of weeks before this Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal came to light … has she been planning her exit for longer than we we knew?

Elin Nordegren: Smarter than we thought? According to NBC London, Tiger Woods’ beleaguered wife purchased a $2.5 million home in Sweden in negotiations that began “two months ago,” apparently in her own name and that of her twin sister. Could it be that Elin discovered her husband’s (alleged!) philandering ways long before anyone thought she did? As we all learned in Beowulf, you don’t mess with Nordic women. They will kick your ass in every conceivable way. Nordegren is said to have packed up the kids and moved out of the Orlando home she shared with Woods, and is supposedly now living in another home nearby. Hakam Andreasson of Aftonbladet, a Stockholm newspaper, confirmed that Elin and her sister purchased the property on the Stockholm archipeligo of Faglaro. Negotiations began about 2 months ago and were finalized on December 1st. From the New York Daily News: Her Swedish getaway is located on some prime Scandinavian real estate — a small, secluded island reachable from Stockholm only by ferryboat. Or, you know, by simply walking across the ice nine months out of the year. “It belonged to a professional soccer player who wanted privacy,” Linge said. “I heard she started looking at it last summer and bought it two weeks ago.” What can we deduce from this? Just speaking for myself, I believe that Elin devised an exit strategy the minute she discovered that Tiger was cavorting with floozies. She got the kids, money, a house in Sweden and got to bend a golf club over Tiger’s head. She got it all.

Some say that the wife is always the last to know when a husband starts cheating but that is not always the case. Perhaps Elin knew more than she wanted to know early on? If all of these reports of infidelity on Tiger‘s part are to be believed, my guess is that Elin prolly knew about some of this drama for some time … she just was prolly not aware of just how unfaithful her husband allegedly was to her. I would bet good money that Elin will flee to Sweden to take up (temporary?) residence in this new mansion. It can’t be fun hanging around and dealing with this growing mess on a daily basis.

It suddenly occurred to me that it now makes so much sense that Tiger Woods would so fiercely guard his privacy. If he really had all of these secret women to deal with, of course he would choose to NOT speak at all about any private family matter so as not to slip up and ruin his plans. He managed to keep things totally quiet for some time now so I guess he was mostly successful … but if he really was cheating on such a huge scale, he had to know that it wouldn’t last forever.
