In Touch Weekly magazine is reporting today that Giorgio Armani is planning to make Taylor Lautner, who will be hosting Saturday Night Live this coming weekend, the new face of his budget fashion line for Armani Exchange. According to the mag, Lautner‘s people are denying that any offer has been made … officially … but the mag cites sources that say a deal is on the table. Could Lautner really become the new face and, well, body, of Armani Exchange?

Taylor Lautner is poised to become the next face of Giorgio Armani. According to a fashion insider, the Italian designer is trying to sign the Twilight hunk for a new ad campaign for fragrances, as well as for his more affordable line of clothing, A/X Armani Exchange. “Giorgio has offered Taylor a deal rumored to be worth millions for the ads,” the insider reveals. And although a rep for Taylor denies the story, the insider adds, “Taylor is flattered and really considering it.” If he does take the job, he’ll have some big briefs to fill. Soccer star David Beckham sent huge crowds into hysterics when he turned up at Selfridges & Co. in London to unveil his underwear ad. Taylor completely bulked up to play the werewolf Jacob in New Moon. “I went from a men’s small to a men’s large,” he says.

A men’s small to a men’s large, eh? I guess it does sound as if Taylor Lautner is grown enough to wear the pants of a full-fledged fashion spokesmodel. You know, A/X is the perfect fashion line for Taylor … it’s not too huge and yet it has ties to one of the biggest fashion houses in the world. This means he would be in the perfect position to graduate into a bigger Armani ad campaign somewhere down the line … who knows, in a few years when he’s nice and totally legal he could step into David Beckham‘s shoes, well, undies and do a major worldwide underwear campaign. Taylor‘s campaign photos, should he become the spokesmodel for A/X, will be showcased in shopping malls around the country … perfect for his target audience. This whole thing just sounds really perfect … I guess we’ll see if this report turns out to have some merit. I’m all for a collabo between A/X and Taylor Lautner … what do y’all think?

Pink reader Malcolm came upon a behind the scenes video from Lindsay Lohan‘s photoshoot for Muse magazine (which, as you may recall, we got a sneak preview of HERE and HERE earlier this week) … but what is really cool about this video is that it has been set to the music of none other than Britney Spears. Seriously, this Muse spread is the gift that keeps on giving. In all honesty, this behind the scenes video is much sexier than the still photos are … it is deffo worth a look. So … last night was not one of my funner evenings, let me tell you. Because of early planning by my adviser, I had to start doing number crunching for next years taxes and … well, I’d rather shove hot pokers into my eyeballs than rummage thru a year’s worth of bank statements and adding up seemingly endless lists of numbers. Fortunately I only have to work on estimates but its nights like last night that remind me why I hate tax season so much :( Blah.

I was able to take a break to watch the new eps of 90210 (good) and Melrose Place (sooo good) last night:

At last we found out who killed Sydney Andrews … and why. All in all, I’ve been very pleased and entertained by both 90210 and MP this season. I’m really looking forward to the new eps to come in the new year.

Tonight, David and I had plans to go bowling with a couple of newlyweds that we know and love but those plans had to be postponed. Instead, we’re gonna do an impromptu Date Night thing so that we can enjoy our last night together before he jets back East again to attend a friend’s wedding this weekend. As cold as it is here in SoCal (50s, BRRRRR) it’s gonna be hella freezing back East. I’ll make sure we do something really fun for him :)

Rihanna, who is very fond of tattoos — both getting them and giving them, has gotten herself inked again and is showing off her newest tat to OK! magazine. Ri Ri decided to get her new life’s motto tattooed on her chest … here are a few pics of her new tattoo:

Say what you will about Rihanna, but the woman doesn’t do things halfheartedly. Last night, the Rated R singer headed to NYC tattoo parlor East Side Ink — one of her favorites — and had her personal motto etched indelibly into her skin forever. “She came in at about 2:00 A.M.,” East Side Ink owner and artist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy tells OK! exclusively. “She told me in advance she’d be coming, and then when she got there, she told me what she wanted: ‘Never a failure, always a lesson,’ but written backwards.” Bang Bang continues, “I asked her why she wanted that and she said, ‘It’s kind of my motto in life for everything.’ Instead of considering things to be mistakes, considering them lessons.” He explains that RiRi, who he says is “doing great,” wanted the phrase done in backwards writing so she would be able to read it in the mirror. Because this piece of body art is so personal to Rihanna, the pop superstar decided she didn’t want this new ink to be as obvious as the ones she already sports. “She said that she wanted to do it in gray, rather than black, because she wanted it to be more subtle,” explains Bang Bang. “She didn’t want it to draw too much attention.”

Yeah, the best way to avoid a lot of attention is to hand the photos over to a tabloid magazine. Nonetheless, I kinda love that she decided to get her new life’s motto “Never a failure. Always a lesson.” tattooed backwards so that she can read it in the mirror … that’s a pretty cool idea. I don’t expect that this will be the last of Rihanna‘s tattoo work but my guess is that it will most likely be her most personal.

Here’s one for the WTF?! files … E! News is reporting that Jessica Simpson and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan are now romantically involved. According to the report, Jessica first became “smitten” with Billy and is now “fallen hard” for the rocker. The report goes on to claim that the two are “officially dating”:

We suppose this is one way to get over those feelings of melancholy and infinite sadness when it comes to trying to find the right man. It seems Jessica Simpson, whose most recent relationship with quarterback Tony Romo experienced a bit of a fumble earlier this year, is now looking to make beautiful music with Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. What reportedly started off as a mere crush has turned into something a whole lot more. “She has fallen hard and is smitten,” a source tells E! News of Jessica, adding that both she and 42-year-old Billy consider themselves “officially dating.” Reps for both have yet to return calls for comments, but another source close to Jess says her inner circle is not exactly whistling a happy tune when it comes to this rumored hookup… “He’s just another in an endless string of Jessica’s boyfriends,” says the source. “They think he’s too old for her. No one takes any of her boyfriends seriously anymore because she has had so many. They’re sick of all of them being ‘the one.’ ” Ouch! Let’s sure hope this one sticks since there obviously won’t be any pity party next time around.

Uhhhhhhhhh … whut? I mean … HMMMM. Well, one thing’s for sure … Billy Corgan got game. When last we saw him on the arm of a pretty, young thing he was walking the red carpet at the Bravo TV A-List Awards with Tila Tequila back in April. Now he’s romancing Jessica Simpson?! I mean … for real?! I don’t even know what to say about this … I mean, it’s deffo a score for Billy to be gettin’ with Jess but I have NO IDEA what she sees in him. Wow. Well … yeah. What do y’all think? Has Jessica finally found “the one”?

Bruce Springsteen, The Boss himself who was recently honored at the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony in Washington DC for his achievements in American culture through the arts, has posted a new message on his official website lending his support for the right of same-sex couples to marry in the US. Here is the full text of Springstreen‘s official statement on marriage equality:

A BRIEF STATEMENT FROM BRUCE
Like many of you who live in New Jersey, I’ve been following the progress of the marriage-equality legislation currently being considered in Trenton. I’ve long believed in and have always spoken out for the rights of same sex couples and fully agree with Governor Corzine when he writes that, “The marriage-equality issue should be recognized for what it truly is — a civil rights issue that must be approved to assure that every citizen is treated equally under the law.” I couldn’t agree more with that statement and urge those who support equal treatment for our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters to let their voices be heard now.

Love to Bruce for taking such a bold and vocal stance on this very important issue. I have long held, as well, that the matter of same-sex marriage is a matter of civil rights so I am very pleased to know that he agrees. I am very hopeful that the brave voices of straight allies like Springsteen will speak to the hearts and minds of others and will help them realize that inequality for some is inequality for all. Thank you Bruce for lending your support for this issue … I look forward to the day when the US can truly be called the Land of the Free — to marry :)
