No "Cheese!"
Robert Pattinson Gets Camera Shy

Robert Pattinson, who is trying to enjoy some downtime in between the frantic craziness of promoting anything that has anything to do with The Twilight Saga franchise of films, made his way out to the Hotel Cafe here in SoCal last night to attend a Bobby Long concert … but that was pretty much all he was interested in doing ‘cuz when the paps came out to take some photos, R. Pattz was not at all interested in smiling for the cameras:

Poor Robbie. It must be really hard to be rich and famous. You’ve got all that money to worry about, all those amazing perks to sift thru and enjoy, all that insane loyal devotion from legions of fans … rough biz. Ah well, hopefully the crush of fame will ease up at some point. Sure, he still has one more movie to promote (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and one more movie to film (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, which will most assuredly go into production soon enough) and then he might get his life back. Of course, there is a chance that future Twilight movies might come his way, resulting in even more ghastly amounts of money going into his bank accounts. Poor guy. You gotta feel sorry for him, right?

Bears his lurve for the Pittsburgh Steelers
Jake Gyllenhaal Does ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Jake Gyllenhaal (who may or may not be a single man) was a guest last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new film Brothers (which co-stars Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire) but he also talked a bit about another new film titled Love And Other Drugs (which co-stars Anne Hathaway) which he has been working on for the past 3 months in Pittsburgh, PA. As a result of all that time spent in Pittsburgh, Jakey poo went out to get a tattoo on his lower back to show his new lurve for the Pittsburgh Steelers football team:

Fear not, little chickens … Jake‘s Steelers back tat is a fake rub-on tattoo. No word on who exactly was called up on to do the actual rubbing on of this tattoo onto his back but it sounds like a pretty damn cool job to me :) After the jump, check out video of Jake‘s first full interview with Jimmy Kimmel last night …

The TV Guide
The Heist, The Rock Show

Last night David and I met up with our homies Dino and Josh Z. for a movie date … we all made our way to the AMC Theater in Century City to see Armored:

Now, it should come as no surprise that Armored will not be picking up any awards come Oscar time but it is, in my humble estimation, a fun popcorn movie that is entertaining and engaging. The cast (which includes Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne, Milo Ventimiglia and more) is pretty damn solid … and while there are a few plot holes in the story (big enough to drive an armored truck thru, to be honest), I just went with it and had a good time. It’s a fun flick, I think you may like it too :)

After the movie, we met up with Josh’s lady Emma and we made our way to Molly Malones to see my dear friend Kay Hanley play a live show. After the jump, check out some of the fun photos we snapped last night …

Hollywood "It" Girl
Julie Benz Does A Bit Of Shopping In SoCal

Former Buffyverse and current Dexter star Julie Benz was spotted on a shopping excursion on Robertson Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA yesterday lookin’ very much the part of the Hollywood “It” Girl. Here are a few cute pics of Julie with her BFF/publicist PJ McCarthy as they made their way out of Kitson and into the throng of waiting paparazzi:

Julie looks fab, as usual … I love seeing her out and about. I am CRAZY IN LOVE with this season of Dexter (new ep tomorrow night, season finale next Sunday night) and am so happy that Julie is such an integral (if sometimes hated by other fans) part of the show. Julie Benz has always been a beloved celeb to me due to her amazing work as vampire Darla on both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Having her on my absolutely favorite show (24 slipped to #2) endears her even more to me. I hope we get to see a lot more of Julie out and about … she’s far too pretty not to be papped at every turn ;)

Despite what she may think
Miley Cyrus Is Too Young To Party

Miley Cyrus may think she is a big girl at the age of 17 but unfortch for her, that is not the case. It is being reported that Miley and her posse tried to roll up on a 21 and over nightclub called Club LIV inside The Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, FL on Wednesday night but due to the fact that she is REALLY underage, she was turned away and was NOT let into the club. My guess is that the embarrassing denial really upset young Miss Miley cuz she was lookin’ pretty pissy when she checked out of the hotel the next day:

Miley Cyrus doesn’t hear the word “no” very often — but TMZ has learned that’s exactly what she heard when she tried to get into a club in Miami Beach Wednesday night. We spoke to multiple people connected to the 21-and-over Club LIV at the Fontainebleau hotel — including a manager, an owner and a rep — who all told us Miley and her posse showed up to party at the hotspot like they were adults. They all told us Miley was turned away at the door because she obviously didn’t meet the age requirement … despite the fact that she has the voice of an 81-year-old chain smoker. Miley’s rep tells us this didn’t happen … even though it wouldn’t be the 17-year-old singer’s first time at a bar.

LOL. Poor Miley … so eager to grow up. I really hope that she wasn’t wearing this Jonas Brothers t-shirt when she was trying to get into the nightclub cuz, hello, that would be a big giveaway that she is still a child. At least she can be happy that she managed to find a tattoo parlor willing to ink her 17-year old bod (even tho my guess is that you have to be 18 to get tattooed). I guess even Miley Cyrus needs to learn that sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some.

"Whenever I hear Def Leppard, I just freak out."
Taylor Swift Does ‘The New York Times Style Magazine’

Taylor Swift, who is really enjoying a lot of professional success (not the least of which includes 8 Grammy Award nominations) as well as personal happiness (with hottie Taylor Lautner) these days, is featured on the cover and in the pages of The New York Times Style Magazine. In her coverstory interview, Taylor talks about her love of music and what it takes for her to write a great (honest) song. Here is Taylor‘s NYTimes Style cover and some excerpts from her interview:

You grew up in Pennsylvania, and yet you fell in love with country music at a young age. What did you hear that attracted you to country?
LeAnn Rimes. I heard “Blue” by LeAnn Rimes, and that song resonated with me. It was nine years ago. She was young — around 14 — and I was about 10 when I heard it and she was doing these things that I could only dream about doing. There was something just so motivating about that.

Did you know what, or where, Nashville was?
I was watching a special on TV about the singer Faith Hill, and she talked about how she went to Nashville. That’s the moment that I realized that Nashville is where you need to be if you want to sing country music. And so every day I would beg my parents nonstop: “We need to go to Nashville. Can we please go to Nashville?” When I was 11, we went during spring break. I had been singing karaoke and I competed in karaoke competitions. So, I had this little demo CD of me singing karaoke music, and my mom would pull up outside one of the record labels on Music Row in Nashville and I would run in and say to the receptionist, “Hi, I’m Taylor. I’m 11. I want a record deal. Call me.”

Did you wear a cowboy hat?
No. My hair was always too big for that. I wore jeans and probably some sort of sparkly shirt.

How did your classmates regard your music?
I didn’t really have that many friends at school. Kids would just heckle me: “Oh, go sing that country beep.” It just dawned on me that I had to love being different or else I was going to end up being dark and angry and frustrated by school. Sometimes I felt like I was some sort of spy because I would go to school during the day, and then, after school, I had this life that was completely different. I definitely was more nervous walking into my first day of freshman year in high school than I was walking up to record labels and handing them my CD. In school, I learned to stop talking about music because they didn’t like it when I did. I led a double life. I kind of started to live in fear when I would sing the national anthem at the 76ers game. If there was a write-up about it the next day in our local paper, I knew it was gonna be a bad day at school for me.

Your mother loved Def Leppard. She played that nonstop when she was pregnant with you.
I love Def Leppard! It’s comforting for me to listen to them. I love a great song. If that great song is by 50 Cent, I’ll listen to it.

You started writing songs when you were 12, and nearly all your songs are autobiographical. Was that a way of coping with being an outsider at school?
Absolutely. I would sit on the edge of class and watch people interact with each other. I’d watch guys flirt with cool girls and I would watch best friends talk, and I would go home and write about it. If you listen to my albums, it’s like reading my diary.

And you always use real names in your songs.
I don’t hesitate — people who have no idea that I have a crush on them won’t find out through me telling them, but they will find out when they hear their name in a song. There was this guy who opened a couple of shows for me on tour and I talked to him a couple of times, but he never knew that I liked him. So I wrote this song called “Hey Stephen,” and when my album came out, I sent him a text message: “Hey, Track 5.” It was so funny. He sent me back a long e-mail saying, “Oh, my God!”

You recently finished filming a movie called “Valentine’s Day.” Did you like acting?
Yes, but it’s a small part. I play the kind of girl I didn’t like in high school. She’s forced to go to gym class and doesn’t want to be there. The director, Garry Marshall, was wonderful — and both of our lucky numbers are 13, so we talked about that most of the time.

Do you still sing karaoke?
No. But if I were to do karaoke, it would probably be something from “Grease” ! I’d sing “You’re the One That I Want” — or Def Leppard. Whenever I hear Def Leppard, I just freak out.

I love this interview … it seems very Taylor Swift. The accompanying photoshoot, I’m afraid, is not very Taylor Swift … nor is it very good, IMHO. After the jump, check out the photos from Taylor‘s NYTimes Style photospread …

Another Walk of Shame, you say?
Jude Law & Sienna Miller Keep On Creepin’

Okay, yeah … Jude Law and Sienna Miller are SO getting it back on together. Since Thanksgiving, the couple have been totally inseparable and apparently have been spending every waking moment they have together. On Wednesday we heard that Sienna spent the night at Jude‘s place (and got caught doing the Walk of Shame out of his apartment building the next day) on Tuesday night and THEN the pair were spotted making their way to the same kid’s birthday party the next day (which, if you think about it, sorta makes for a good place to “secretly” rendezvous). Then yesterday afternoon, Sienna showed up at Jude‘s apartment at around 3pm (possibly for a little somethin’ somethin’) and then emerged from his home at around 6pm so that she could rush off to the theater where she is performing her Broadway play. Jude emerged from his apt. shortly thereafter to rush off to his Broadway theater to do the same:

You got a quiet holiday dinner HERE, a late night booty call THERE, a seemingly innocent “chance” encounter HERE and an afternoon delight rendezvous there … all in the span of one week! These two are mad for it, it seems pretty clear to me. Whether or not they are gettin’ all of their biz out in one passionate week or they are really working towards building a new relationship still remains to be seen … but my guess is that they will still be goin’ at it (whatever it is that “it” is) for some time to come. It’s clear that they make a good pair … the question remains, tho, just what exactly are they a good pair of?

Britwick celebrates Jason's birthday
Britney Spears & Jason Trawick Go On Their Third Date Of The Week

It looks like Britney Spears‘s need to celebrate continued last night as she and agent/beau Jason Trawick stepped out on the town and enjoyed another little date together to celebrate Jason‘s birthday … which would be the couple’s third night together since they were reunited again earlier this week. After Britney returned home from Australia, she rushed out to meet up with Jason so that they could spend some (hand-holding) time together. Then, of course, they spent her birthday day and night together to celebrate her 28th birthday on Wednesday night (where she was presented with a shiny new BMW convertible as a gift, possibly from Jason himself). But last night, Britney and Jason decided to enjoy some alonetime (away from the kids) and went out for a nice, intimate birthday dinner at Little Door restaurant (one of Britney‘s faves) to celebrate Jason’s birthday yesterday … here are a few photos:

I love this long yellow coat that Britney is wearing … it is very striking and it looks amazing on her. Jason and his preppie little sweater made a nice compliment. Now just because this is the third time we’ve seen Britwick out on the town doesn’t mean that they only spent 3 nights together … I’m guessing that these two prolly stayed in Thursday night to hang out at home with her kiddies. I’m happy to see that those silly reports of trubs in Britwick‘s relationship appear to be totally wrong. Nice and slow … these two seem to be progressing very nicely. You do your thing, Britwick. Keep on dating!!
