Britney Spears, who celebrated her 28th birthday yesterday, arrived home in SoCal after completing her first ever Australian tour and seemingly made a beeline to be reunited with her agent/beau Jason Trawick as they were seen together, hand-in-hand, on Tuesday night. Britwick actually spent her birthday day together as well … they were spotted doing a bit of shopping at Fred Segal in West Hollywood, CA yesterday:

Britney Spears celebrated her 28th birthday on Wednesday surrounded by the men in her life – boyfriend Jason Trawick and sons Preston and Jayden. The singer and her agent beau Trawick, 37, started the celebration a day early Tuesday night at L.A.’s Mondrian hotel, where Spears also enjoyed spa services, a source tells PEOPLE. That night, the couple went to the Sunset strip, visiting both the Saddleback Ranch restaurant and Chateau Marmont. The next day, they shopped at West Hollywood’s Fred Segal boutique before reuniting with the pop star’s sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, at her home in Calabasas. “Britney looked so happy,” says an eyewitness. “She seemed very excited to spend her morning with Jason.” Spears was also thrilled to get to be with her two boys on her B-day, says another source. “Britney is very happy to spend the day with Preston and Jayden. The kids know it’s her birthday … [They] are very excited about Britney’s cake too.

First the hand holding and now the shopping bag holding … Jason looks like a great boyfriend, don’t he? Now … just because these two spent Britney‘s birthday day together doesn’t mean that they spent her birthday night together … but I’d be willing to wager a pretty penny that they were in each other’s close company last night ;) I hope you had a great birthday, Britney … cuz it sounds like you had a blast with your fave guys.

Lordy Lordy … and this Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal drama just keeps on getting more … confusing. When the initial news of Tiger‘s car accident came to light last week it was reported that the alleged fight between Tiger and his wife was due to allegations that he was cheating with a woman named Rachel Uchitel. Uchitel initially denied that she had an affair with Woods and but then another woman, Jaimee Grubbs, came out with her own allegations and supposed proof that she was having an affair with Tiger Woods (which seems to have inspired Tiger Woods to admit to his “transgressions” in an official statement posted on his official website). In the wake of that other woman drama, Uchitel hired famed fame-hungry lawyer Gloria Allred to be her legal counsel and announced that she would be giving a press conference today to speak out on the alleged relationship she may or may not have enjoyed with Tiger Woods. TMZ claims that Uchitel was planning to confirm her affair with Woods in that press conference scheduled for today:

Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress claims she was lying when she said she did not have an affair with Tiger Woods … and sources tell TMZ the fight at Tiger’s home the morning of the crash was triggered by a series of text messages between Tiger and the woman. Rachel Uchitel has publicly denied she had sexual relations with Tiger Woods, but we’ve learned she has said she did indeed have an affair with the golfer. And, we’re told it was her — not Jaimee Grubbs — who caused an argument between Tiger and his wife, Elin Nordegren, that immediately preceded Tiger’s SUV crash. Sources say less than an hour before Tiger’s accident, Rachel and Tiger were texting each other. Elin confronted Tiger and asked whom he was texting. She grabbed the phone and we’re told she called Rachel to confront her. According to sources, Tiger and Elin began arguing and the phone broke in the process. We’re also told there was damage as a result of the altercation in the vestibule area of Tiger’s home — damage that cannot be easily repaired, and that is why Tiger would not let police come in. Uchitel’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, will hold a news conference [Thursday] at 11:30 AM PT with Uchitel present.

It sounds like Mistress #1 (Uchitel) got miffed that Mistress #2 (Grubbs) is gettin’ all the attention when she, Mistress #1, was the reason all this Tiger Woods mess happened in the first place. BUT, the news conference scheduled for today has already been CANCELED … meaning either that Mistress #1 (Uchitel) had a change of heart and has decided not to come clean about the affair (for now) OR it could mean that Tiger Woods reached out to Mistress #1 and somehow convinced her not to comment publicly on the matter:

Looks like Rachel Uchitel may not be admitting to an affair with Tiger Woods Thursday. A planned press conference with her lawyer Gloria Allred has been canceled, Allred’s office confirms to “Extra.” According to a statement, the presser was called off due to “unforeseen circumstances.” “There will be no further statements on this matter,” Allred says. On Wednesday, Allred announced that she would “make a statement about Ms. Uchitel’s relationship with Tiger Woods.”

Now the conspiracy theorist in me thinks that Tiger Woods got wind of this planned press conference and reached out to Uchitel thru her legal representative, Gloria Allred, and somehow got her to call off the press conference. Whether it be monetarily or otherwise, Woods (who is a billionaire) has the means to be very convincing. And you gotta admit, if it was Allred‘s plan all along to get Woods‘s attention by announcing this press conference then she really is worth the money she gets paid to represent these high profile clients like Mistress #1 … er, I mean Rachel Uchitel. Of course, all of this is merely conjecture on my part … but it makes total sense. Depending on what sort of deal may or may not have been worked out between the parties (Woods and Uchitel), we may never hear from her in any sort of press conference on this matter. The plot definitely thickens … I can’t wait to see what more (if any) of this mess will transpire.

Back in October we learned from Entertainment Weekly that Lisa Kudrow, former star of Friends, would be joining her Friends compatriot Courteney Cox-Arquette on her new show Cougar Town in an upcoming new ep. Today EW bring us the first look at Lisa and Courteney together again on Cougar Town … but this time around they are far from being friends:

There will be something conspicuously missing when Friends costar Lisa Kudrow guests on Courteney Cox’s ABC sitcom, Cougar Town, on Jan. 6: friendship. “They didn’t want to play friends,” says executive producer Bill Lawrence, who quickly came up with a different role for Kudrow. “She plays a dermatologist who is a horrible, horrible person, but [Cox] goes to her because she’s the best. The [sight] of them playing people who dislike each other intensely was very funny for me to watch.”

I dunno … they still look pretty friendly to me in this photo … but I guess it would’ve been too obvious if the ladies were friendly in these new roles. As I’ve mentioned a few times already here on the blog, I am a HUGE fan of Cougar Town and I am very much looking forward to this new ep featuring Lisa Kudrow. I have a sneaking suspicion that other former Friends will be making their way to Cougar Town in the future but I’m glad that Lisa Kudrow is the first. She is really very funny and she will be a welcome addition to the already brilliant cast of Cougar Town. Woot! I cannot wait :)

Last night, in a lavish concert ceremony, the nominations for the 2010 Grammy Awards were announced on CBS and now we know which musicians will be vying for the most prestigious award in the music biz. Beyoncé, who had a pretty amazing year this year with her album I Am … Sasha Fierce and her massive hit single Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) leads the way with 10 nominations … but young upstart Taylor Swift, who has been winning a lot of pretty big awards already this year, managed to secure 8 nominations of her own. It sounds like the 2010 Grammy Awards are going to be pret-ty interesting:

Taylor Swift’s amazing year continued at full speed as the teen sensation received eight Grammy nominations Wednesday – topped only by Beyoncé’s 10. Wow … people are loving Taylor Swift these days. I have to admit, I was happy that she won the awards that she won this year at the MTV VMAs and the CMA Awards but if she ends up taking home all the Grammys next year, I think Kanye West might just explode. As talented as I think Swift is, I’m really rooting for Beyoncé to win all the awards next year. She has worked really hard for so many years and this year is no exception. Her songs were megahits this year and she really deserves the credit. We’ll have to see how the Grammy voters feel when the 52nd annual Grammy Awards are handed out on January 31.
