Watch The First 5 Minutes of ‘The Princess And The Frog’
Okay Disney animation fans … the newest Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog doesn’t open in theaters until December 11 but right here, right now you can watch the first 5 minutes of the film to get you all teased and excited for the actual film before it opens:

Now, I’m not sure if this video is authorized or not, nor do I know how long it will stay online before it gets yanked so you might wanna watch it while you can. After the jump, check out the first 5 minutes of The Princess and the Frog …
Love this little tease … as a big fan of the original classic Disney animated films along with the amazing string of films we got in the 90’s I am really hopeful that this movie measures up. I’m staying away from all reviews … I just want to see the movie for myself before I let anyone else color my perspective. So far, I like what I see … do you?

Awww..I love old school Disney animation! Brings me back! The story on this movie doesn’t excite me so I’m not sure I’ll be seeing it in theaters, but I LOVE that they’re bringing back the animation!

I am beyond excited for this movie. I have been waiting for Disney to create a black princess for the bast 20 years. Although I kinda feel like it’s a day late and a dollar short, at least we finally have one.
@ Trent, what’s your fave Disney princess and why? (I’m partial to Belle mainly because she got a whole fricken library as a gift!)

Oh, that is just DARLING!

@Kelly — Yep, my fave is Belle too … for the same reason, she’s a reader AND she’s the one who saves the Beast :)

I can’t wait for this!!!!!
And the fact that an actual place I’ve been has been turned into a cartoon makes me even more excited!!!!
I’m so glad Disney is back to it’s traditional animation and fairy tale plot. This is, after all, what made us all fall in love with Disney animated films in the first place.
I’m gonna go watch The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast now.

Love it! It’s what Disney does best, in my opinion!

BEAUTIFUL! I cannot wait! Who needs 3D movies and gimmicks when they can produce well-made, fantastical stories with good themes? Disney is going to have a major hit.

Love it :)

An unfinished series of cells, but looks warm and gorgeous. The illumination was first rate. Looking forward to the look and animation (if not expecting much from the story).
Also glad to see a black princess as well. Feels like something’s finally ‘ok’.

5 minutes of cheesiness!! CANNOT WAIT FOR A WHOLE HOUR AND MORE FOR IT !! :)

I am so excited for this movie- I’m a fan of good stories and good animation. I feel good about John Lasseter being involved and opening back up the hand-drawn animation department at Disney. And love, love the message about making wishes and working hard to back it up.

Ariel’s my fave! :) I love that Disney changed the story so that she doesn’t change who she is for the man, rather she’s always been fascinated with life on land. Plus I <3 Sebastian, so The Little Mermaid's gotta be my fave. :)

Wow I cannot wait. I love the Disney movies and we definitely need more. I am also excited for Toy Story 3 I believe it is coming out in June.

I love the line about wishing on a star only being able to take you so far. It’s like Disney is growing up a bit.

Can you believe that in Germany they named the damn movie “Kiss the frog”? That takes away everything great related to .
November 29th, 2009 at 1:54 am
I can’t even begin to tell how excited I am for this movie!!
My fave princess is Ariel, I used to sing all the songs when I was younger, pretending my voice was as good as hers…

OMG, OMG, SO EXCITED.

I’m so glad to see such warm responses to this! I too have stayed away from reviews and the negativity that runs rampant on the IMDB boards. You can’t please everyone, but I really hope this movie becomes as well loved as the classics from the beginnings of Disney Animation to the late 80s and 90s gems. I also hope that the black community embraces Tiana wholeheartedly and that I’ll see little girls of all different races wearing Tiana costumes when I go to Disney World in June.
@Trent – Belle’s my fave too! I’m a bookworm, so I relate :) I also have a soft spot for Meg from “Hercules” ’cause she was so badass.
