Watch: Beyoncé Featuring Lady Gaga, ‘Video Phone (Extended Remix)’
"I'ma leave my number on your video phone"

At long last we get our first look at the new Beyoncé and Lady Gaga collaborative effort for B‘s new music video for her single Video Phone (Extended Remix) available on the re-release of Beyoncé‘s I Am … Sasha Fierce (Platinum Edition) album. The ladies teamed up for a duet of sorts for this new single and both appear in the just released music video:

The video is mostly Beyoncé with just a little Gaga thrown in … to be honest, and I’m not trying to sound like a hater here, this collabo kinda falls flat. Gaga‘s contribution to the song is totally unnecessary both musically and visually. Her one added verse is forgettable and her scenes in the video are totally uninteresting. To be honest, I don’t really love all the different Beyoncé looks included in the video either … I also find it funny that we don’t ever see a video phone … not once. That said, I’ll leave it to y’all to judge for yourselves — after the jump, check out the video in full …

In all honesty, I’m was never really in love with the original song in the first place … I think a duet remix between Beyoncé and Lady Gaga could’ve been much more cooler than this. Full disclosure, I am actually enjoying the new tracks that Gaga has released off her new re-release The Fame Monster. I’m far from being a bona fide Gaga fan but I can at least appreciate that she is, in my opinion, finally putting out better music. Lady Gaga and Beyoncé duet again on the song Telephone on The Fame Monster … I’d be curious to see if the ladies will team up for another, more interesting music video for that track. What do y’all think … is this video all that?

Now I adore Beyonce and I like couple of Lady Gaga’s songs but this is the WORST music video Beyonce has ever released bar none! This is such a disappointment and @Jill G no it isn’t just you she is trying to look like all of them >.<! Sad part is that I was curious about the song when Beyonce played it at the end of her Diva music video ='(! Why Beyonce? Why?

  2. Laura says:

this is like 20 different videos in one and thats the real problem with it in my opinion. Plus, the song might be annoying as fuck now, but i thought single ladies was too when it was first released, and here we are. i bet it’ll be another insane success.

  3. Heather says:

I think Gaga looks like Claire Meade from “Ugly Betty” in that 4th screen cap! HA!

  4. Becks says:

This song is terrible… wow. I gave up after 30 seconds.

  5. go away says:

First: I can’t believe this video went for 5 minutes. Second: couldn’t Beyonce think of another subject to sing about other than video phones? If you insist upon using video phones as your creative inspiration, must you repeat it ad nauseum throughout the video? We get it. Third: It sounds like more of an endorsement a la Chris Brown & Doublemint gum. Not the route I would think Beyonce would choose. Lastly: no amount of sexiness can save this video.

soooo lame, the song is not catchy at all…they BOTH can do wayyyyyy better than this!!! Wtf… I expect a lot out of these two. God what a dumb song.

this is one of the worst videos ive seen in my whole life !

it did worse than just SUCKED !!!

Lady Gaga is completely ugly and totally sucks and i dont even understand why she’s becoming famous .

& im dissapointed in Beyonce . i used to love her music & videos .
buttt the crap she’s put out lately with her songs, videos, & her new look sucks .

    how pathetic !

  8. Allison says:

this song really really blows. but has anyone listened to lady gaga’s song feat. beyonce? it’s called telephone and it is a MILLION times better than video phone.

  9. Rodde says:

The video sucks and the song is completely shity, a masterpiece of crap!!!!!

  10. Rodde says:

julie, i can notice that you are very, very stupid.

    regards

Well it’s a POS song and GaGa steals the show. IMO

  12. Shina says:

Omg.. I saw this video.. and it was just, incredibly trying too hard. And yes, the last look was a COMPLETE M.I.A. knockoff.. way too alike to be a coincidence, even the way she had her makeup done and positions her face it just like M.I.A., and the sad thing is that if any hardcore beyonce fan hears about M.I.A. later, they would say that she copied beyonce. Does she not have any dignity in terms of creativity? Ugh.
This song is shit, the video is shit.

Me and my fiance both don’t like it. Lmao @ the drag queen comment. Isn’t this song about “hollering”? We never use the term ‘Holler’ in England. A bland video if i say so myself. Sorry for being all Simon Cowell about it, but it bores me. lol

  14. Sarah Lund says:

You would think what with Beyonce being in a relationship, that it would teach her not to flaunt her thongs. Low and behold it doesn’t. Why IS Jay-Z still with her? Can’t he see what a slut she must be? God help him. Vomit-inducing tart.

    IT’S CRAP, MAN!
